Skowhegan/Kennebec Valley KOA combines location, facilities and recreation to offer an ideal family vacation setting. We're located on Route 2 in central Maine's beautiful Kennebec Valley, just 12 miles from Skowhegan and easily accessible from the Maine Turnpike. Enjoy the region's majestic views of mountains, lakes and scenic drives including the nearby National Scenic Byway to Canada. Area activities include swimming, boating, fishing, golfing, hiking, antique hunting, shopping and dining. We are within 5 minutes of beautiful Lake George Regional Park with its Lake and beaches and we are about an hour drive to Moxie Falls - one of Maine's highest and most beautiful waterfalls.

Discover a new adventure every day with popular outing destinations that include whitewater rafting, Augusta, Bangor, Moosehead Lake, Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, Baxter State Park and Mt Katahdin. Campers enjoy our Cafe', pool, arcade, game room, playground and sports fields along with hay rides. Located on 83 acres, we have walking trails to explore. Numerous activities for the kids are offered and our popular Theme Weekends are enjoyed by all ages.

We have Upgraded High Speed WiFi and Cable TV, along with open and shaded sites ranging from tents to spacious pull-thru sites with S/W/E 30/50 amp. Camping Cabins, Cottages and Lodge (Deluxe Cabins) are available for rent. All groups are welcome - motorcycle groups, boy scouts, girl scouts, church groups, etc. Enjoy genuine Maine hospitality and friendliness along with exceptional value for your camping dollar, great times and wonderful memories! Lake George Regional Park

Lake George Regional Park is a day use lakeside park owned by the State of Maine. It is the only waterside park in 30 miles that incorporates lake use with 320 acres of surrounding land for swimming, boating, fishing, hiking and family & group picnicking and activities. There is a public boat launch available. Day use fees may apply.
Located approx. 2.7 miles west of the campground off Route 2.

Bigelow Brewing Company, Skowhegan

If you're at camp over the weekend, be sure to check out this great craft beer brewer! Located in Skowhegan, it is located on the outskirts of town and will require some back roads driving, but well worth it. They are only open on Fridays and Saturdays and offer beer on tap, growlers and gifts for purchase. Oh, don't forget to try their Amazing wood fired pizza!

Coburn Park, Skowhegan

Coburn Park is a short walk from downtown Skowhegan. Twelve and one half acres located on the bend of the Kennebec River. At the present time, you will find over 200 species of trees growing along with many beautiful flowers and shrubs. A beautiful place to enjoy a family picnic or just enjoy a summer stroll.
The park can be reserved for weddings and other uses.

World's Tallest Wooden Indian, Skowhegan

The Skowhegan Indian is the World's Tallest Statue of an American Indian. It is 62 feet tall on a 20 foot base. Built in 1969 by Maine artist Bernard Langlais and restored in September 2014.
Located in Skowhegan at the corner of High Street and Madison Ave (Route 201), behind the Cumberland Farms.
