Our kids loved the jumping pillow and playground. The bathrooms were nice and clean. All the staff was very helpful and friendly. Would absolutely stay here again!

Our first time camping there , and everyone there were so friendly. We brought our boat and they were so accommodating with where we could park it. We had such a great time and we will definitely be back.

This campground made this trip all together a bad experience. Early in the morning, the electricity went out and did not work at all. There was no notice or anything about electricity not working and no updates on it. The pool, the only amenity that was there, was very dirty and smelled like someone dumped Clorox. The showers only had cold water and was stuck to the wall making it hard to shower.

We loved staying at the KOA. It was very clean and had lots of activities for the kiddos. We will definitely be back. My kids didn't want to leave.

Wifi does not work. Road needs maintenance and bathroom road was blocked by campers. I could not walk through it and it was far for toilet. Not worth the price. I will not recommend. It was dusty and there was a notice to boil water.

The campground is very old school. It's dirt and trees. It is so quiet. We didn't hear a siren the entire time we were there. The grounds are hilly, so bring hiking shoes. There isn't much to do up here. That's just what we were looking for. Our site was amazing. one of the biggest sites we've ever had. If you want to get in touch with Mother Nature, this is your spot. We will return.

Great stay at SM KOA in full hook-up site. Location was clean and allowed for easy backing in and leveling. We stayed during the middle of the week and there was hardly anyone there. Everyone we met was friendly and the nights were quiet. Great stay and close to fishing at Santa Margarita Lake, a favorite spot of ours.

Wolf and Lisa are the best hosts! We love this place and come back every year. The kids make all sorts of new friends and play the whole time which gives us parents a lot of relaxation time. The sites are clean and spacious and love the new patio editions to some of them. The crafts and activities are great too, especially the tie dying and pool parties! Highly recommend this place to families.

Everything is always nice and clean at this KOA. The staff is super friendly and professional. We have been at this KOA the past 3 Memorial Day weekends. Great place…we love it! If I had one suggestion would be to remove the weeds in the movie night area. If you take your dog the fox tails get stuck all over them.

We had a great trip the Santa Margarita KOA. The staff was amazing!!!!!!! The only complaint I would have is the WIFI signal was very weak and sometimes was not working. I just dealt with it. I did not inform staff of my issue. Thanks again KOA staff YOU ROCK.......

First time staying at any KOA. Office staff was very nice and helped us make changes to our dates and sites. Their playground with the giant jumping pillow was a big hit. I give them lots of credit for creating many features to have fun: amazing playground, horseshoes, pool, disc golf, etc. They were even working on the Volleyball court. You can tell they are striving to be a good as possible.

This is the most beautiful campground we have stayed at (and we've visited over 100 sites across the country)! The terrain alone is stunningly gorgeous and the land is well-used. We love having the option of RV camping closer to amenities and remote tent camping (now with electricity!). We always feel welcomed and appreciated here.

This is our second time staying at this KOA . We definitely will be staying there again. The staff is friendly and helpful . The campground is in a beautiful setting. Lots of wildlife to see and the ocean isn’t very far . We will definitely encourage our friends to go to this KOA

Very nice, peaceful campground, spacious sites, bath house with a flight of stairs, used but clean, wonderful tranquil surroundings. They are working hard to restore flooded areas. Good luck!

The staff is very friendly and helpful! We showed up late and someone was waiting for us to check in. She had someone else show us all the way to our site, the next day we wanted some ice but the store was closed. They delivered a bag of ice to our site before we walked back up the hill. Beautiful place and close to the beach.

Everyone at the KOA was friendly, kind, and helpful. The facilities were clean, as well as the camp sites. The trees were trimmed and the grass was well maintained.

We had space 57 and 58, only bummer is that we couldn't pull the motorhome in head first to make a large patio with the trailer "insurance regulations" the campground is amazing, great views, close to the lake "we fished on Easter Sunday" quiet and well equipped, WIFI was pretty good, decent cell signal... Kevin was missed...

The location is a little out of the way depending on what you want to do. The showers are small, but decent. The staff is nice and there are plenty of activities for the kids on the weekends.

My review is 5 stars because I like the hilly walks, the nature and my kids did too. But I have to juxtapose that to my wife who had challenges and her father had challenges too. This KOA is top tier if you are looking for Southern California nature. But if you have mobility issues, or looking for something more urban, it is probably a no go.
