We always enjoy all the activities for the kids. We haven’t been out for bit and the upgrades are really nice. It’s good for me to have WiFi. Michele is absolutely lovely and is the reason we go back. She is on top of every detail with heart and takes time out of her busy day to chat and connect. 5-stars.

Schön gelegen, aber der Pool war kalt und nicht sehr schön gepflegt. Wir nehmen immer KOA wegen der Pools. Bis jetzt waren fast alle immer beheizt. Dieser leider nicht und sehr dreckig.

It was very hot and our RV was mostly in full sun most of the day so we had to live inside the RV in the AC. Would have enjoyed it more if we had more shade like many of the other campsites near the large trees. Bathrooms were very far away also but we managed to shower while there. The fire pit was right next to the tall dry grass which was a concern to start a campfire…very dangerous.

The campground is very nice and the staff were very helpful. We will certainly stay there again. Unfortunately we did have a squirrel chew off a pine cones above our RV, which put a hole in our awning fabric. Not the campgrounds fault, but we will ask for a spot away from trees next time.

Very nice camp ground with plenty of space between RV spaces. I wish the WiFi worked better is the only request. Couldn’t watch streaming tv and my phone was disconnecting from wifi continually .

We love visiting this KOA tucked away in Santa Margarita country hills. The staff are always accommodating and very helpful. The grounds & facilities are kept very clean, and close to many attractions. We will definitely be back. Thank you especially to Michelle & Daisy (and the crew). See you soon!

Hot in this area in summer. Pool is quite a walk down. Jumping pillow and foam pit on Saturday were awesome. Not a bike ride campground, too inclined. Hayride was just a tour of the campground and the history- not worth the $6/person.

We meet with Navy Diver friends for a celebration of life for another Navy Diver that had pasted away We remember him via navydivermemorial.org. Our time was enjoyable, it would have been nice if we could have all camped together.

Had a nice time with family& was happy they were able to put us next to eachother. Was NOT impressed with the dust & lack of respect from people driving too fast on the roads kicking up dust. They need to enforce & lower the speed limits very very dusty.

We had a family reunion with people stayed in cabins, tents and RV/Trailer spots. All 3 RV/Trailer spots were all messed up and not reserved at all. Michelle was able to find spots for us. So that was a miracle I thought. The office assigned one spot which already occupied by someone. The 4th RV/Trailer booked separately from the group reservation also got jerk around twice at different site.

My third stay. Facilities are very good. Many sites are separated by terrain and trees lending a more natural setting.

This is a great campground, especially for kids. Wilderness, kids things and large camp sites. The downside, the infrastructure needs lots of updating and cleaning.

We came in on Tuesday, before the Memorial Day crowds. The campground was quiet, our site was perfect, easy to back our trailer into. Everyone was friendly & helpful, they delivered firewood and a camp chair, which we had forgotten. Our 5 yr old granddaughter loved the Jumping Pillow park, & we loved the pool! The campground is close to the lake .Our stay was enjoyable, we will probably be back!

As locals, we are embarrassed to say we’ve never been to Santa Margarita KOA. Recently a friend mentioned it, so we made a trip. The staff were very accommodating, as Daisy, Michelle & the ENTIRE CREW were so friendly. The people have a great vibe & it’s a hidden gem tucked away in the back country. They have clean facilities, yurts, cabins, great camp sites & a pool. Loved it & we be returnin

Well, my husband and I made it extream clear the size if our rug. Semi pulling 38 foot toy hauler. We're told no pull thru but back in easy access. Not true. Mad skills for driving my husband pulled it off. And their was a roughly 130 foot pull thru empty. The computer system wasn't working. That's a whole long story in it's self. Said would deliver free fire wood. Never showed up.

The receptionist or landlord is absolutely fantastic , road need a bit of grading, also it will be nice that they get a pool heather we had a very nice peaceful time Thanks/Merci

We had a wonderful time at the Santa Margarita KOA Holiday, We had a beautiful pull through site, shady and very well maintained. We were able to set up quickly and start enjoying the beautiful surroundings. We went exploring and discovered that this campgrounds had everything you might need as a camper, cabins, tent sites, trailer and motorhome sites and there were a wide variety.

The location is a little out of the way depending on what you want to do. The showers are small, but decent. The staff is nice and there are plenty of activities for the kids on the weekends.

My review is 5 stars because I like the hilly walks, the nature and my kids did too. But I have to juxtapose that to my wife who had challenges and her father had challenges too. This KOA is top tier if you are looking for Southern California nature. But if you have mobility issues, or looking for something more urban, it is probably a no go.
