We really liked our deluxe cabin. It was cute and warm with the basic needs in the kitchen. The bed was very hard though. I will bring a mattress cover/pad next time. Due to rainy weather we didn't get to walk around the grounds much. What we did see was beautiful. We will be back in April for a wedding. We are praying for good weather. Looking forward to going back.

This is our favorite location. Campground is well maintained and all the staff is super friendly. If we could we would come once a month. RIP Kevin, we miss you.

We stayed in Yurt 34 and it was amazing. Thoughtful design and presentation- there were even trash bags and a broom and mirror. My 7 yo had a great time on the blowup pillow thing. Bathrooms were nice.staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend and will visit again!

My rating would probably be higher if not for the unfortunate damage to the park by the recent storms. Staff was friendly and honest with the conditions of the park so there were no unexpected condition issues. Looks like there has been upgrades done prior to storm to make it nicer.

These cabins are very clean and functional for our family of 3. We enjoyed the hospitality the staff showed us also. Great visit!

We had another fun family vacation. We stayed in cabin 87 and it was perfect, clean and comfortable. Everyone we dealt with from checking in to check out was very kind and helpful.

We loved it!! Warm at night in the cabins. Nice fire pits. Clean bathrooms/showers. Kevin the emu was very friendly and even let us pet him. Our daughter loved the jumping pillow. The staff was very pleasant. Great experience overall. We’ll definitely camp there again.

Cabins a little thread bare making value for cost less. Rules regarding pets are jumbled. Website said pets allowed in certain cabin, when we called to verify we were told no, so we took another. Folks with 2 dogs were in original cabin when we got there. Staff was otherwise terrific.

We stayed in a deluxe cabin that was almost perfect. Location was awesome, all the things provided in the cabin were exactly what was expected and needed. My only recommendation was to upgrade the mattress as it was not up to the standards of the place. The staff was top notch, extremely friendly and genuinely seemed to really enjoy their job. We will definitely be back!

The campground was nice, everything was fun and quite. However, you all need to mount/secure the bunk beds in the cabins! Every time any one moved, it woke us all up. Very noisy bunks. And maybe get larger hot water heaters in bathrooms. The shower was hot for 5 min, then it turned cold! Ack! Otherwise, friendly service, helpful staff, good stay. Oh, and a group camp area would be wonderful!

Cabins is clean, good size for 2 bedrooms with mini kitchen equipped with all small appliances for making your meals. Got AC and heater. love the view and quietness of the place. The only downside is that our cabin , which is cabin # 84 dont have hot water, so were unable to get bath or shower, other than that we had a great stay and the entire facility is great and oh our cabin had great wifi and

it was great. I took away one star because our vehicles had to be parked behind two bolder rocks and weren't right by our window and steps like previous years which made our walk carrying heavy items a bit difficult and the fact that there was a large increase of $25 per night which we may choose to shorten all of our stays there's a large group of us Taylor's that go twice a year.

It was very nice and clean, and most of all it was quite. It was very close to the lake and I didn’t have to get up at 3:00am to drive an hour and a half to get there. And yes I do believe that I will be staying here again. Thank you for the block to put under my boat trailer so it would not move. And also thank you for getting back to me quickly after I have call.

Everything was absolutely perfect! Great place and people! Awesome for traveling with dogs. The only tiny feedback I have is the shower needed a plastic liner curtain to keep water from getting all over the floor.

Loved the yurt camping - all of the fun of camping and the amenities of home (a real bed and electricity)! Tracy is great, very pleasant and helpful. People were respectful of the quiet hours, and I actually loved hearing the children when they were playing - such a happy sound! Bathrooms were clean, and who would have thought hot water at the dish washing station! Nice!

We stayed 9/22-9/25/22 in one of the 1 room cabins with a shower & toilet. Our only 2 complaints was there was zero reception in the cabin and the Wi-Fi didn't work inside either. Only if we sat outside. The other one was the flies...they make sitting outside during the day unbearable. Otherwise we love the location & enjoy staying there. The staff is always above & beyond helpful and nice!

They aren't exaggerating about the terrain. Bathrooms are difficult to access. We stayed in a yurt and loved the experience. Suggest staying further from the jumping pillow and cleaning station if you want to sleep in.

VEry clean, cabin is equipped with AC, microwave, and mini refrigerator....just enough for my family to sleep and stay comfortably. Enough space for parking too. The suggestion I have is that the road is a little bit scary to go up hill towards the cabin....is there a way to flatten it a little bit? The tires of our car is not geared towards rough up hill road so the tires were hard to control.

Seemed to be a good location but since it was a hot weekend, they cancelled few activities. It’s natural site but up n down terrain and dust could be a challenge. The main feedback is about restrooms, they had always been clogged during the whole stay. Suggest to have often cleaning of restrooms.

This is our 2nd stay at Santa Margarita KOA and this time we brought friends. We love the campgrounds and everything this KOA has to offer. Plus, Wolf and the staff are soooo amazing and caring. It doesn't take much to see how wonderful this place it. Can't wait to come back and this time try out one of the delex cabins! This has definitely made me a fan of KOA & I've already booked 2 other trips.

The staff at Santa Margarita was amazing and very friendly! Lisa offered to let me use her phone charger when she found out I had forgotten mine, and the next day they let us use a propane tank when ours was malfunctioning! We had a great time in the campground with lots of fun activities and a very nice and clean cabin. We will definitely be back!

Lisa and Wolf were amazing hosts, and the facilities are really well maintained, clean, and charming. Highlights for the kids in our group were the jumping pillow, Kevin the emu, and the hayride. Thanks again for a lovely stay!

My review is 5 stars because I like the hilly walks, the nature and my kids did too. But I have to juxtapose that to my wife who had challenges and her father had challenges too. This KOA is top tier if you are looking for Southern California nature. But if you have mobility issues, or looking for something more urban, it is probably a no go.
