We stayed for 2 nights at this campground. The setting is soooo peaceful and we had lots of wildlife visiting us. The nights were filled with crickets chirping and the days with birds singing. The facilities are clean and our site was very spacious. The sunset was spectacular.

While most everything worked well here, we still have to say it's a bit below our normal expectations. The reason unfortunately is not something easily or inexpensively fixed; it's just plain dusty here. As noted it would be extremely difficult to pave more of the roads and the cost would be really high, so there's not a lot that can be done. Otherwise it was a good stay.

The campground has many terrain changes (up and down), but our RV back in site was flat , level and shaded. The campground (early Fall but after school had started was extremely peaceful and quiet. There were a few kids enjoying the bouncey thing during the afternoon, but it was perfectly quiet at night.

Campground is on a tiered plateau physical layout, difficult to navigate. i inquired 2x via phone on an extended stay and owner did not return my phone calls because 1) she was late for a luncheon and 2) she was on a deadline. Left a very poor impression.

Staff is friendly and helpful, bathrooms were amazing and spotless, wildlife was plentiful and beautiful, the sites were well kept and the location was great. Will be back again! Thanks for a great stay!

We enjoyed our cabin. What a treat to have a microwave and refrigerator. Staff was pleasant. Only concern was we were assigned a cabin with another cabin attached to the back. We did not come to the woods to be right next to another family in the same building. Luckily for us, no one came there. We should have been notified of this possibility.

This is our first time in years that we did not have a pleasant experience. Our second nite we got bites like crazy thinking they were mosquitoes we treated them as such but then they started popping out like the pox went to the dr and they determined they were bed bug bites. We were in cabin. Check your cabins if that’s were you chose to be.

We stayed in a basic cabin and everything was in order and clean. We waited 30min for hay rides that got camcelled, so that was a bummer. Our friends stayed in a Deluxe Cabin and got bed bug bites, so we probably will never stay in one of those.

Campground felt like we were really out in nature. It wasn't crowded at all. So many activities for the family. I would have rated a 5 star, but the bathroom was only cleaned once during our stay. Really wish the bathroom would have been kept better.

This was our first stay at this KOA. We were very happy with our site, beautiful scenery. The only downside, rest rooms need serious updates. The showers were borderline disgusting. Honestly need more restrooms throughout the park. Staff was very friendly and thoughtful. Looking forward to our next stay.����

Beautiful clean campground with each campsite feeling secluded. Staff were great and helpful. Lots of hills within the camp to walk around. Fun area for kids. Lots of woodpeckers, and saw deer within the camp.

I noticed first couple of nights mens restroom were not cleaned. Trash on floor and one of the toilet �� stalls was over flowed. Other then that I appreciate being in same cabin as I had from a previously stay with koa- santa margarita ��� thank you �

This is our second time staying here and we will be back again! We absolutely love it here. We stayed with 4 other families that had rv’s and my sister stayed in a cabin. The park is clean, they had a bunch of fun activities for the kids and everyone is very friendly. Perfect weekend away!

The staff were all very pleasant and helpful -I stayed in a cabin which was unfortunately a distance from the rest of my family in RV's (I didn't know their spot numbers - so my fault, not campgrounds) Cabin was very nice! returned to cabin at 8 pm to find no hot water or working stove. (grandson took cold bath) Someone came quick ly to fix. A small discount would have been nice - but great cab

The staff always go above and beyond. Very clean camp grounds, fire pits and restrooms. We love all the activities that are available and can’t wait for our next trip. Shout out to Michelle, Daisy & the whole crew! They work hard.

Quiet during the week and fills up for the weekend. Very dusty, hilly location, so forget bikes. It’s nice that each spot has its own secluded area. Nobody bothered to clean the bathrooms our entire stay of 5 days, nor fix the broken toilet leaking all over the floor. They do a lot of activities for kids on Saturdays. Location is excellent, near lake and Pismo/Morro/etc.

We always enjoy all the activities for the kids. We haven’t been out for bit and the upgrades are really nice. It’s good for me to have WiFi. Michele is absolutely lovely and is the reason we go back. She is on top of every detail with heart and takes time out of her busy day to chat and connect. 5-stars.

Kind staff, spacious,good location, the bathrooms were unclean during our visit. We took pictures to document the lack of cleaning. We understand behaviors cannot be controlled, there was not enough cleaning to keep up with the volume of people over the weekend especially. Gum was in the shower, feces on the toilet handle, little/no refill on toilet paper/paper towels, garbage overflowing.

Loved the pool and arts and crafts for kids. Showers are free, but bathrooms are far and few. We had to climb to get to our bathrooms and we had a few people fall. It would be helpful if the map showed all the mountains and cliffs.

Schön gelegen, aber der Pool war kalt und nicht sehr schön gepflegt. Wir nehmen immer KOA wegen der Pools. Bis jetzt waren fast alle immer beheizt. Dieser leider nicht und sehr dreckig.

It was very hot and our RV was mostly in full sun most of the day so we had to live inside the RV in the AC. Would have enjoyed it more if we had more shade like many of the other campsites near the large trees. Bathrooms were very far away also but we managed to shower while there. The fire pit was right next to the tall dry grass which was a concern to start a campfire…very dangerous.

The campground is very nice and the staff were very helpful. We will certainly stay there again. Unfortunately we did have a squirrel chew off a pine cones above our RV, which put a hole in our awning fabric. Not the campgrounds fault, but we will ask for a spot away from trees next time.

We love this place, but it would be nice if it was a little cleaner, the restroom near our campsite was dirty for all 3 days we were there with feces splattered on the toilet. The pool is a nice touch but it was yellowish & full of hair, we also didn’t see anyone clean it the entire time we stayed. Very nice camp ground with plenty of space between RV spaces. I wish the WiFi worked better is the only request. Couldn’t watch streaming tv and my phone was disconnecting from wifi continually .

My review is 5 stars because I like the hilly walks, the nature and my kids did too. But I have to juxtapose that to my wife who had challenges and her father had challenges too. This KOA is top tier if you are looking for Southern California nature. But if you have mobility issues, or looking for something more urban, it is probably a no go.
