Always a great stay.

This was my 3rd stay. I've done both tent and cabin camping and had a great time every time. The staff is friendly, the facilities are clean, lots of kid friendly activities and I'll definitely be back again this fall. Deluxe cabins are worth the splurge if you need to do a lot of cooking. Full size fridge and oven with a gas range on top. Love this place!

Our stay was great, so peaceful and relaxing this time. ( former employee made it difficult last summer) Pool was not as cold as usual and I was actually able to get in it!

Explained to the person on the phone our need to unload a side by side from the toy hauler. Site was on a hill, unable to unload. I had to sleep in my truck for the night after 10 hours of driving. Site was most expensive stay I paid for in the past 3 weeks of camping. Orgeon to AZ.

Site was spacious and clean. Park was calm and quiet. It would be nice if the store was a bit better stocked as there is no local shopping nearby. All in all we had a very nice time.

The camp was quiet, clean and comfortable. I would like to see a little more watering of the roads for dust control. But, at least it was being done.

This is a great campsite for family stays. It’s lively for the children with activities, a pool, a playground, movies and more. Love the helpful staff, the clean sites, the water and electrical hookups and fair rates! We’ll be back!

KOA has been our annual camping spot for MANY years and we have always loved it. There was a short-term management change that made our experience not as enjoyable the last time BUT it seems things are back on track, as this year was such fun again! We love the pool, foam pit and slide, all adding to our family experience. Great folks and fun at Margarita KOA, for sure! Highly recommend this KOA.

When we initially checked in staff forgot to give me the key to get into the yurt. We had to drive back down to the office for the key. Upon returning to the yurt, we opened it and went inside, yurt was extremely hot, it had not been opened for air to ventilate. It was disappointing. The reason for our trip, it was my husband’s 50th birthday. I had to call staff several times for help.

Most of the roads are terrifying to drive. And scary around my kids. The staff Is awesome and kind and Saturday was a blast and fun.

Campground is clean and has a lot of activities for kids. It's pretty far inland from the beach so it was significantly warmer than expected bit with hook ups and AC it was ok.

Staff went out of the way to open the store after it had closed so I could buy ice. That is what is called going above and beyond. But was I truly heartbroken when I found out Kevin the emu had passed away. We will definitely be back just when it gets cooler though lol

Check in was easy. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The grounds looked great. They had a water slide foam party thing going on which my kids loved!

Lack of hot water in main washroom for a motorcycle tent camper put a damper on my visit. First shower the drain was slow. The next morning I cleaned the drain and it was better. Water was never more than warm. Don't know how much attention has been taken to the facility.

Excellent KOA tucked away in the countryside, making it a nice retreat. The tent sites we stayed at were secluded and quiet with a great view. The steep gravel road, although some find it challenging, is accessible by any vehicle in low gear. We will definitely come back!

Pros...scenery and wildlife Cons...WIFI was weak and unreliable, guests and staff speeding around on 95% dirt roads made camps dirty and dusty, and our site wasn't very level.

It was a great weekend vacation for my family! We loved all the activities they provided: jumping pillow, ducky scavenger hunt, pool, water slide/foam party, kids crafts, and "hayride". My only wish is that this campground provided individual pictures of the sites when choosing which campsite to stay in, I would have chosen differently with a real pic.

We had such a wonderful weekend here! The grounds are beautiful and the facilities are clean, staff is incredible. We loved all the fun things they have planned for families, loved the park and pool area as well as the snack shack. We really cannot thank you enough for such an amazing stay!!

We got the premium cabin which was spacious and comfortable. Staff was also very friendly and helpful. Accommodations were clean and well located. Please upgrade the premium cabin with a real AC unit instead of the swamp cooler.

Pro: Staff were polite and accommodating. Facilities and campsites were well maintained. Fun weekend events for families. Con: Frisbee golf course not maintained in a long time, chest hight weeds and broken pads. Guy w/beard from site 52 in black toyota truck came to our campfire and started burning check book registers saying “he was going through a bad divorce”. HARD brown water at RV sites

Wonderful!! Such fun for me, my adult children and 4 grandsons. Cabins were amazing. We cooked all our meals outside on the wood fire and ate at the picnic table. Tent site was quiet with a beautiful view. Kids enjoyed the pool and bouncy pad. We rented a pontoon on the lake, docked and had a picnic lunch. A perfect get-away, just 2 hours from home.

Kids had a lot of fun and enjoyed the activities. Pool was a little dirty (could be all the kids jumping in during the day). Was really looking forward to disc golf but was highly disappointed. I lost my driving disc because the course was poorly maintained. Had to quit after 5 holes because the risk of losing discs became too great. Weeds were over waist high and lots of stickers!

BEWARE OF KAREN-Owner! I have been at this campsite for 3-4 years. PAST The campsite was clean, family & friends felt welcomed by previous manager, Wolf & Lisa. We loved it so much that we brought over 16 families. 2024 We booked 13 sites for 21 families. Karen CANCELED them. Rude, initially unapologetic & did not want to take ownership. Frustratingly sad. Looking elsewhere.

We were able to give your friends all sites requested and they seemed to have a terrific time. We're sorry this spoiled your visit.

The amenities in the cabin made this camping-fearful gal feel right at home. Air conditioning, TP, paper towels, extra dishes, firepit, grill. Lots of activities to keep kids busy. Thank you!

Tent site #5 would be best for motorcycle campers. The staff were phenomenal, helping me with possible alternative sites when they saw I was standing in the shade to keep cool and struggling in the afternoon sun when setting up my tent. One particular female staffer stood out, not only recognized why I was standing in the shade, she also recommended the best path to the showers.

We celebrated my 60th birthday with 11 grandkids (and their parents of course) The kids had so much fun in the pool and the foam pit and the bounce pillow. The staff are always so friendly and accommodating. We all had a wonderful weekend !!

My review is 5 stars because I like the hilly walks, the nature and my kids did too. But I have to juxtapose that to my wife who had challenges and her father had challenges too. This KOA is top tier if you are looking for Southern California nature. But if you have mobility issues, or looking for something more urban, it is probably a no go.
