Arrived right at closing. Night reservation box was empty. Staff had locked the door to the store but were still inside. It was obvious they wanted to go home. Not a warm and fussy reception.

It would have been nice except Where we stayed at v260 there were a lot of bumps from tree roots which made a few of us tripped. Luckily no serious injuries only minor scratches. Plus holes on the ground that made it a safety hazard.

The cabins need maintenance and housekeeping attention. The bathroom shower door does not slide properly, the shower backs up and you are standing in 'ankle-deep' dirty water, the kitchen sink backs up...The list can goes on. For the nightly set-rates, the cabins in my opinion should be much cleaner and better prepared.

This place is normally a 5 star but this last trip was different. There were a few things that I was unhappy about. There was a scheduled activity that didn’t happen and the bathroom was out of toilet paper on 2 different occasions. My daughters (5 and 7 years old) also got yelled at by a grumpy employee for riding their bikes in middle of the road…really.

Love the Petaluma KOA. The staff are amazing and the facilities are well kept. We like having the food truck and well stocked camp stores for anything we might’ve forgotten.

Only issue was showers in campground buildings. The water went from just right to cold then to scalding hot. Needs to be regulated. Would not want to shower child in there.

We rented 3 cabins for our Girl Scout troop and they had a blast! There was so much to do that they were busy and exhausted by bedtime. Our only disappointment was that the goats area didn’t open when we arrived at the scheduled time and no one at the desk seemed to know what was going on when we asked about it. Everything else was well organized and lovely. They all want to come back!

KOA was great! The bathrooms were clean, the camp spaces were nice, and the staff was very helpful. But, this is a family KOA, there were always what seemed like hundreds for kids riding/running around all day. Second, the pool and hot tub were always completely packed, so we couldn’t partake in those. These are thing that can’t change, but more of an FYI to future campers.

Our site (H114) was clean and private. The patio area was not big like the other sites along our row bit simi private . They should have just done a way with the small site next to us and made ours the same size as the others.

The cost was a lot for a KOA however the spot we had was nice with shade and patio. The biggest downside was the ants.

Amazing!!! Furst KOA stay and it was a great experience. Bathrooms always clean, camp site clean, tons of activities for my 5 year old who cried when we had to leave, food truck was an awesome option, customer service was superb!!!

The stay was great, relaxing and kinda close to the city. The only downside was the cost per night seemed high during the time we were there. I could see us staying here again if we are going to be in the area.

I thought this campground was beautiful spacious woodsy. I didn’t have any problems with flies. It was on a holiday so it was really crowded and children friendly all over the place. If you have kids it’s a great place to go pool, event center, petting zoo, food truck the food was delicious and they deliver it to you at your campsite. I had an all-around wonderful time here.

The staff at this KOA is the BEST! They are always willing to help with anything. This campground is very well maintained. There seem to be regular upgrades. Most sites are level and we don't have to use our levelers. The store is very well stocked. This is our favorite campground even though we live locally. Thank you Petaluma KOA for always making our stay wonderful.

6 people, of varying ages, spent 5 days in a deluxe cabin. As 2 of the guests were children, we tried everything: swimming, tie dying,movie, rock climbing, petting goats and jumping, up and down on the trampoline. All the activities were wonderful. We enjoyed them all. Our cabin was cleaned to perfection and very comfortable. My one suggestion is that you put more hooks in the common shower.

we only stayed one night up and one night back and stayed in the same spot 133. nice folks, even the workers who did all the maintenance were friendly. People at the Desk were getting trained so I can not rate them. No explanation as to what to do it you get the gate entrance number wrong, just caused a traffic pile up!! till resolved. This is our 3rd time with this KOA and we plan to return.

Very clean restrooms, did not shower but looked clean, Had same location on 2 separate stays, we have no kids, new people at the desk Aug. 2024. Goofed the front gate number was not told what to do net (I realized the desk help had never pushed the number and there for really did not know). we did not eat there nor use the pool. seems more set up for weekenders.

It was a very nice campground except we didn't get any tv or internet. Also my phone didn't get good reception. I did go to the office and tell the lady that was working that morning.

The campground is very nice. A LOT of kids in the weekend which created a fair amount of noise. We liked the separate shower setups and would recommend it highly on a non weekend for example Monday was much much quieter and better from our standpoint. We would highly recommend it for families the pool and events seemed very good. The other issue is it’s very expensive place to stay

You know what would be a nice addition, a very simple little workout room - such as a stationary bike, a few weights, and some kind of multi function pully / weight combo piece of gear. Nothing fancy.

Nice campground; friendly staff! Close to Smart Train which takes you to a ferry to get to San Francisco. Also very close to Bodega Bay!! We were told we would have a satellite friendly site but did not; took a while to find one, but finely did. Other than that nice concierge service (they come by & dump every day for you if you want)!

Always a nice place. Very clean girls at desk nice n helpful. Goodie truck good idea. If you have kids. This is the place. For adults check your space carefully. Your bathrooms need a lot of attention. Smelly. Trashy toilets need constant cleaning. Good wine selection���

We loved our stay. The campground is clean, quiet, lots of things to do for kids/families. Bathrooms and showers are very clean with nice hot water. We will definitely choose this KOA is we are in the area.

We have been travelling through a few US states and we found a park within distance to San Francisco. On the advice of the lady at the RV park we had access to San Francisco by train and ferry. Downtown Petaluma was pleasant as were the access to other localities. The one complaint we had was the state of the main amenities block, it took a good 10 minutes for hot water to come through, other than that a great park to stay in.

The campsite is very well located, except SF, very quiet. true very clean and very nice everything. is a pretty big campsite but offers something for everyone. Pool true unfortunately too because of maintenance work but we only keep the nights there.

The campground is nice but be aware that if you need to do laundry there, you are forced to sign up for an app on your phone in order to use their machines that do not accept credit cards or coins. My husband and I have traveled all over the country and this is the first time we have encountered this. We didn't want to have to acquired an unwanted app on our phones and the instructions for acquiring it aren't easy. So we had to haul our laundry to a local laundromat and as we were leaving we saw other guests taking their laundry back after they left too. I complained nicely to a staff member who didn't seem to care. Having said that the campground is nice, surrounded by pine trees and redwoods. It's real advantage is being near the ferry boats going over to San Francisco. Be aware, while there is a local train going to the ferry, where it lets you off is three quarters to a mile walk to the ferry. In rain it would be very unpleasant and no one tells you how far the walk is. It is better to drive your car to the ferry and pay the $2 on the digital parking meter. We took the train once and drove three other times. Other than that, the campground is in a nice setting and near wine country too.
