Quiet, clean, lots of amenities. This was our 3rd visit. Halloween night was a blast and our kids are grown so it was just us and our dogs and we really enjoyed all the decorations, costumes, kind and fun people. Always feel very safe here. Amazing how everything was clean the morning after the Halloween fun. Heartwarming to see how much fun all the kids and adults were having.

Nice campground. I just wish the store in the campground was open.

We loved it, it was quiet around the resort during the week, but still enough people to chat with at the pool. The staff was very kind and helpful, the facilities were nice & clean, and our (tent) camp site was good.

What a great little place to stay while exploring the San Francisco area. Great for kids with petting zoo and bounce pad. Bathrooms were super clean and smelled fresh. Would definitely recommend

We had a wonderful stay! We were greeted by the Petaluma KOA ambassador Maddy. She was such a cute pup! Kai at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating. Everyone was quick to respond to all our needs. Thank you again for facilitating an awesome family trip!

We love the Petaluma KOA and make this an annual vacation spot! The staff are all friendly and welcoming and the campground is beautiful and extremely well kept. Thanks for another wonderful stay!

A great campground if you have small children.

The resident 'owl' sighting and hooting in the Redwood section was our highlight of the visit. Definitely on our next destination to stop if traveling on Hwy101 again! Lastly, especially enjoyed the Halloween experience as well!

We had amazing time and definitely will come back actually considering to buy the membership. I like the fact that you guys allow campers to bring their own wood and drinks to the pool. Most of the camp have a lot of restrictions and we don’t like it .thank you so much.

This is a very nice campground with lots of big trees for shade. There is a big swimming pool and hot tub. We were there on a late summer weekend and the campground was pretty full with lots of kids.

We enjoyed our stay. things that could have made it better were being able to use the rock wall & knowing that there was going to be a movie night. The last 2 times we came here there were signs posted about movies so we looked for them. But as we were getting ready for bed one night we noticed that a movie was playing & there was no hayrides going on. Seems like a down grade from the past 2yrs.

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful which was nice. I was a little disappointed in the campsite because it says they have a petting zoo but it was more so a couple goats you can pet through a cage, the rock wall wasn't open and they advertised the food truck but it was out of majority of the things.. we paid a lot and left the night before check out because it wasn't what we thought.

plenty of empty sites of the type I asked for. With shade of course, which my site didn't have. That would have been nice on a 100 plus day. We were put in the back of the back by the cow pasture, wonderful aromas for eating our meals to.The gentleman who guided us to our space was wonderful and pleasant. I think they put us there because if I requested a better site, they could charge us $30 more

Professional assistance at the office. Nice campsite. Thank you.

Had a great time, the Halloween activities were fun, the staff was very nice. We’ve already reserved our stay for next year.

I really appreciate how easy it was to order from the store or from the portable kitchen and have it delivered to our campsite, not to mention the daily service of our holding tanks. Some of the campsites came with a beautiful cement patio with umbrellas and chairs, I'm definitely booking one of those for the next stay.

This was our family's first experience doing the Halloween venue. It was a lot of fun and the KOA organizers are very good at making sure the kids have plenty to do. The only bummer was the heat and you have no control over that. We will be back again next year if the weather cooperates with us.

A bit expensive for parking and hookups, not to mention additional costs for visitors. If we had kids and could use all immensities then maybe it’s a great deal. But it is not that close to Napa/Sonoma. Not a bad drive to the coast. It is also quite the drive to San Francisco so don’t let the name fool you. This is in North Petaluma, traffic can take up to 2+ hours depending on when you go.

Our rv site had an ant hole and we ended up getting a trail of ants in our trailer. They did come and spray but for the amount of money we paid for this site we were really displeased with the overall customer service we got when this issue rose. We have travelled to many campsites across the US and this was the first time we got a bug infestation. Campground has a lot of amenities, A LOT of kids.

It's become a family tradition to set up a tent and jump right in to the happiness that is Petaluma KOA. The staff is wonderful, the facilities are great, and the folks who are camping with you are all welcoming, safe, and friendly people. We walk away with new friends every year. Special shout out to Kathleen for being simply amazing and making so much magic happen.

It’s nice to see the upgrades that are going on. Down side was the over zealous sprinkler that sprayed over 10 feet from the edge the lawn and shorted out my electrical connection. Also, this year they didn’t do a sign up for Saturday trick or treating and it was very unorganized.

October trick or treating in the KOA is one of our kids and group of parents favorite stops for the year. It was hot but the swimming pool, lots of trees for shade and convenient stores for drinks made it an easy and fun trip.

Great place for families with children; but not my choice.
Oct 07, 2024
The office seemed very under staffed and the food truck had problems all weekend. The kids activities Seemed very unorganized Unlike other trips. We went to get a scavenger hunt twice and they did not have any at the office… bounce pillow wasn’t turned on till 930 and it said on the schedule nine. Overall, we love your KOA bathrooms and cabins were super clean. It also was super crowded…..

We were hoping for more kid activities and more shade in common areas

Best place to get together with our friends and families.

The pool area was allowed to devolve into a party for one large group, essentially dominating the entire location all Saturday. Hot tub being packed with small children all day/night, made it impossible to enjoy if you were over 10yrs old, except when that large drunken party took it over completely. Wrist band rules! Limit of 6, so kids can't bring their friends, doesn't feel like real camping

The campground was very busy and noisy. Children and adults constantly walked through our site. It is a very pricey park and you would expect everything as advertised. There was absolutely no wifi tango would not even come up. When I enquired at office she informed me it was your most frequent complaint and you were working on it. So get a new provider!

Wish we could have spent more time. Everything was perfect. The front desk staff was very helpful.

Very lovely stay. The only problem was there was no hand soap in the bathroom near the group kitchen for 3 days despite housekeeping cleaning the bathroom.

We have been travelling through a few US states and we found a park within distance to San Francisco. On the advice of the lady at the RV park we had access to San Francisco by train and ferry. Downtown Petaluma was pleasant as were the access to other localities. The one complaint we had was the state of the main amenities block, it took a good 10 minutes for hot water to come through, other than that a great park to stay in.

The campsite is very well located, except SF, very quiet. true very clean and very nice everything. is a pretty big campsite but offers something for everyone. Pool true unfortunately too because of maintenance work but we only keep the nights there.

The campground is nice but be aware that if you need to do laundry there, you are forced to sign up for an app on your phone in order to use their machines that do not accept credit cards or coins. My husband and I have traveled all over the country and this is the first time we have encountered this. We didn't want to have to acquired an unwanted app on our phones and the instructions for acquiring it aren't easy. So we had to haul our laundry to a local laundromat and as we were leaving we saw other guests taking their laundry back after they left too. I complained nicely to a staff member who didn't seem to care. Having said that the campground is nice, surrounded by pine trees and redwoods. It's real advantage is being near the ferry boats going over to San Francisco. Be aware, while there is a local train going to the ferry, where it lets you off is three quarters to a mile walk to the ferry. In rain it would be very unpleasant and no one tells you how far the walk is. It is better to drive your car to the ferry and pay the $2 on the digital parking meter. We took the train once and drove three other times. Other than that, the campground is in a nice setting and near wine country too.
