One of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed in!! And an added plus was the 10 mile bike/ walking path along the creek attached to the campground. Loved having breakfast and pizza available too

Great staff! I however am concerned about the health issues regarding the rubber mulch (recycled tires) My kids wanted to spend allot of time at the park. Each time they did, they got black stains and dust all over them from the mulch. I looked it up, and this is a known health hazard. I would love to stay here again, but would only do so if the mulch was changed to a safer kiddie cushion.

One of the nicest campgrounds I've stayed at. Plenty of on site activities and staff kept you apprised through text messages. This is how a KOA park should be run. Park and amenities were kept very clean and store was well stocked. Huge thumbs up to this park and staff!

Nice clean park close to river walk and city bus route if you don’t want to pay to park down there. Tons of activities planned for the weekend but we didn’t get to participate. Busy with kids tournament. We’ve stayed here numerous times always friendly staff and clean amenities.

Best KOA in all of Texas. Friendly staff, great felling of being outdoors and not in a parking lot.

We spent six nights at this KOA between Christmas and New Year's 2025. The campground was well kept, staff was both cordial and professional and the activities, store and Cafe we're all great to have. The campground is relatively close to the Riverwalk which we spent a couple of days at. If you're looking for a place to stay near downtown San Antonio, I would recommend.

We Love this Koa and stay here at least twice a year but...it's getting very expensive. Paid over $500 for 4 nights. They also removed the basketball court and have been promising to build a new one but after 2 years nothing has been done.

Beautiful park. Best KOA stop so far!

The park is well maintained, the sites and facilities are immaculate and the KOA location is close to all San Antonio attractions. If your travels include San Antonio I highly recommend Alamo KOA.

July 2026 Nothing to add except that the price is getting high at $74 a night we will be back. 2023 We did come back and were just as happy with the location and the campground. We did end up in a spot that was a little tighter for our 35ft rig. still decent wifi little over $60 a night this time patio site. We will be back. 3 years ago, I have to give this park a five star. The staff was very helpful and always nice. As they say in Texas everything is bigger, for KOA the sites here were large. It is gated and is 10 min from down town and the Alamo. It has plenty of amenities. Full hookups 30/50 amp, Cable TV and the wifi was decent at our site. $53 a night we would stay again.

Checked in, Kelly led us to our site. She made sure to find us a spot next to a big tree giving us a A TON of very much welcomed shade. After that, Kelly, went to man the Patio cafe, where they make pizza and wings on site! This lady does it all! Definitely worth looking or calling them and asking for a specific site as some can be pretty short and out in the open with no shade. If Kelly wasn't on watch, we would've ended up on a fully sun exposed spot! Very nice clean property as well!
