Our family recently stayed at Alamo KOA for a family reunion, and unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing campground experiences we've ever had. The biggest issue was the way we were treated by the manager, Jeff Clark.

Honestly the stay wasn’t great but wasn’t terrible.Most everyone was kind except for the manager.He was ridiculously rude and unfortunately ruined our trip from the start.We are business owners and couldn’t believe his lack of respect and aggressiveness to patrons, especially after traveling all day. Unfortunately we will not be back and we’ve been coming to this specific koa for 40 years.

The park itself is always nice. However this time in the cabin we stayed in, the floor was dirty like it had not been mopped or swept and the staff needed to spray for bugs. There were little bugs and spiders everywhere. This is the first time something like this has happened with us staying at this KOA annually.

This KOA should not be considered "Holiday" status. We rented 2 cabins, one had mildew smell coming out of the A/C unit and the other one had roaches in it. I was very disappointed in our stay having just been at a holiday KOA in Las Cruces that was gorgeous and clean. Bathrooms were NOT up to "Holiday" standards either. Would not recommend.

Everything went well as usual. Everyone is very friendly and the facilities and grounds look good despite the staff being shorthanded. We look forward to another trip back soon. #ashleyyouwillbemissed

It was really fun and very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful many fun things to do swimming walking the trails riding the trails with the carts there is also a small store in case you need or forget something for your bbqs plus the free coffee I got in the morning was delicious and the restroom and showers were clean they also have a small cafe that serves pizza wings and salad � was

We had a great stay. The staff was very nice and helpful, and our cabin was comfortable. The kids especially enjoyed the pool and playground.

We have stayed at many KOA'S over the past 2 years and this was our only bad experience. We got little to no sleep! The smoke alarm was defective in our cabin and sounding off so we had to disconnect it. When turning on the light to fix that issue, we discovered several roaches and couldn't sleep after that! Check out was notified and didn't offer any compensation.

Bathrooms were clean but extremely hot. If you had to poop yoh may get heat stroke. Grounds were clean cabins just basically get swept out they don’t go thru and deep clean them. Do yourself a favor don’t lift the mattress and look at the bed frame in detail. Lots of bugs and old rotten food. Spiderwebs and we had a lizard in one of the bunk beds. The ac barely worked. Will not stay again.

We stayed in a Deluxe Cabin (Full Bath with Shower), Patio Studio - pondside. The pond was full of moss, so not much to look at and enjoy. The mattress on the bunks were very uncomfortable. I appreciated the laundry being open 24 hours. Staff were friendly.

I loved this place! Very clean and staff is friendly. The cabins are adorable! I will definately come back. The swimming pool is very clean, the only thing is the fishing is not good. There was thick algae on top of the water that no fishing could happen. Other than the fishing everything else was exceptional! I will definately come back and hopefully next time we can fish.

My family had a great time there,so much to do.. the pool is great and the drinks and pizza by the pool was great, can't wait to come back for our next outing.

There were a few things I wanted to tell management, however office was closed during departure. The AC in Cabin DC6 didn't cool in living area. Seems the bedroom AC controls controlled the Cabin. Like I set it on 78 for my Mom, and it was 78 throughout. The TV kept buffering like internet signal wasn't strong enough. We expected The Patio Cafe to be open, but found it closed during our stay.

The key fell off the key ring that they issued and I called the after hour phone number and never received a call back..luckily we found the key on the ground and was able to get in the room, but they never called..sad but true

It was amazing stay. I want to give shout out to the maintenance guy. I fridge went out in the cabin and he replaced it quickly. The staff was amazing. We loved the playground and the pool.

The weather didn't cooperate for our visit to San Antonio/Alamo KOA and thus we were unable to setup our tent trailer. The hosts were very accommodating! They allowed us to move to a Kamp cabin and "dry" store our trailer. That saved us from dealing with a wet trailer at our next stop. The location is convenient for travelling to the Alamo and river walk.

My friend and l stayed in a cabin. Restrooms and showers nearby were always clean. Our electricity went out and was immediately fixed. Staff very friendly.

this KOA is beautifully well kept! the cabins are always in great condition, the customer service is wonderful and the visitors are always lovely. I come here yearly with my boyfriend and sometimes with my family and I love it!!

We stayed in a camping cabin for our 2 nights. The air conditioning did not work the first night. We ended up opening the windows as it was cooler outside at 3am. Then the second night we needed the heat due to the cold winds. Unfortunately, that did not work well either. The campground overall was nice and kids enjoyed the activities.

Staff was very friendly, clean cabins. There were lots of kid-friendly activities held on during our stay. Kept kids busy and there was even Bingo for grandma!

July 2026 Nothing to add except that the price is getting high at $74 a night we will be back. 2023 We did come back and were just as happy with the location and the campground. We did end up in a spot that was a little tighter for our 35ft rig. still decent wifi little over $60 a night this time patio site. We will be back. 3 years ago, I have to give this park a five star. The staff was very helpful and always nice. As they say in Texas everything is bigger, for KOA the sites here were large. It is gated and is 10 min from down town and the Alamo. It has plenty of amenities. Full hookups 30/50 amp, Cable TV and the wifi was decent at our site. $53 a night we would stay again.

Checked in, Kelly led us to our site. She made sure to find us a spot next to a big tree giving us a A TON of very much welcomed shade. After that, Kelly, went to man the Patio cafe, where they make pizza and wings on site! This lady does it all! Definitely worth looking or calling them and asking for a specific site as some can be pretty short and out in the open with no shade. If Kelly wasn't on watch, we would've ended up on a fully sun exposed spot! Very nice clean property as well!
