Our stay started amazing. Friendly people in the office, clean restrooms, great cabin. Our experience with Sawmill and their threatening employees was less than desirable. I was told they were separate from KOA, however the transaction for money spent there went through as KOA. I didn't check reviews of The Sawmill before going and lessons learned.

This year my cabin was filthy we were in contact the entire time to get a manager and didn’t speak to anyone until check out, we spent Tuesday & Wednesday deep cleaning our cabin. Other than that we have fun with our family but that was not what I expected

6 person cabin and hot water lasted less than 5 minutes. I checked out and mentioned it and a young manager said he tried it the next day and it worked fine so no compensation was given. Young managers on carts yelled about slowing down while driving when I was in fact going 5mph. Staff is too young and some are completely full of themselves. My families stay wasn't enjoyable this time.

Positive convient. We have stayed there 4 times in the last year, 1 night each time. The cabins are dirty! Bathrooms are dirty! Trash around camping cabins. Golf carts not watching where they are going. Children running, everywhere and riding scoters. My husband was more stressed driving in the campground then on the 401 through Toronto. Already looked into other accommodations for next year.

Cabins were great and the resort has plenty of things to do for the kids. The only negative was the pool closed early and didn't open till 11 a.m.

It was clean, the staff were very nice and accommodating. The activities for kids were great. We stayed in a cabin. I didn’t know there were no dish towels or fitted sheets for the bunk beds. Other than that everything was great! I liked that I could text and get questions answered or problems in the cabin fixed. I was pleasantly surprised it was such a great time. Thank you!

I've been going to PH-KOA for 28 yrs.Started in KK & recently have rented Lodges.The park,overall,is wonderful!Very clean.Upgrades to pools/buildings is fantastic.Lots to do.The Lodges,for the cost,are dirty.I bring a mop,bcuz I know the floors will be filthy!Vents on A/C & ceiling fans are thick w/dust.Broken curtain rods replaced with rope?Vegetation growing in gutters.Mgmt needs to do better.

The outside is well maintained but our cabin was not clean at all. I get you’re “camping” but 5 minutes in our cabin our feet were black with dirt, crumbs everywhere. Indoor maintenance should be evaluated

The campground itself is decent but the deluxe cabins definitely need to be deep cleaned. Ours was so dirty I spent 2 hours cleaning it, then had to have them come vacuum out mouse poop from the bedroom. Floors were so disgusting we couldn't walk on them without shoes.

I would rate the campground a 5 during the week but a 1 on the weekend. It was crazy busy with kids not paying attention and parents not watching their children. There were also a lot of big aggressive dogs over the weekend. We witnessed dogs trying to go after other dogs. There was a large dog with a choke collar going after dogs where the owners started to beat the dog in front of our kids.

Me in my family been going for well over about 7 years now. This year them shower room wasn’t clean, shower curtain need to be replaced in every shower.

We love coming to koa! 6 years in a row! No problems. I like how the staff checks to make sure the parents are at the pool with there children! Will be back next year.

Everything was good! Except for the dog next to us that barked half the night and early morning. Then they left poop!

The cabin was filthy. I don’t think anyone swept. There was sand and little bits of garbage in the living area, bathroom & bedroom. The toilet didn’t have a lid, the shower handle was broken, the shower doors had mold all along the bottom. Disgusting.

Wonderful stay! Staff was very kind the loved the rules that are in place..cabin was very comfortable, except 2 room cabins need a refrigerator and more outlets.

We had a great time. It was a bit cooler and windy for August but we made the most of it. The kids loved all the amenities. The rustic cabin was perfect for our family of 5.

Considering it costs so much just to stay for a night. Prices for food $8 for fries. $8 for pickles $,8 for little tacos $8 for 10 chicken nuggets. Suggest anybody bring your own food or buy it elsewhere. It wasn't that great for the amount of money that I paid.

The cabin was clean. Many activities to keep kids and adults entertained. Great communication from the campground to let us know the activities that are occurring. Be aware, the campground is large thus overcrowded with golf carts, kids on bikes riding all over the place making it difficult to get through the park. Nonetheless we did have a good time with no other complaints.

Loved everything. Great family time, awesome staff. Campground is extremely clean. Already booked for next year family vacation. It was A GREAT 6 DAYS at PORT HURON KOA!!!

Outdoor washroom facilities were disgraceful. Urinals, toilets and sinks need a scrubbing Actually dated urinal strips were 1.5 weeks outdated from when it states it should be changed. We watched staff daily pull up (1 person sometimes 2) in the a.m. and walk out within 10 mins.Please explain how women and men's restrooms and all showers could be look after properly? 400 letters not enough!!!!

Bathrooms not very clean when you watch the cleaning crew come in and they stay for 15 minutes no way can they have cleaned throughout the entire bathroom and showers. Also noticed that when they clean the cabins not in there long enough to clean properly Skunks were a big issue one is coming out of a cabin doesn’t make sitting at your fire very comfortable . And smelling them through the night

We had issues with the stove burners not heating very well. The fridge froze most of our food. there were not enough utensils to eat with. there was not a stopper for the kitchen sink to do the dishes. Loose boards on the deck with the nails sticking up causing a tripping hazard. one outlet did not work in the kitchen area.

We enjoyed staying in our cabin. One thing I would have like to known before hand was that the rail on the loft is very short we had two children 5 and 2 that were sleeping in the loft and it was scary to have the 2 year old up there with the short railing . The “ futon” was not able to be slept on as the mat was so worn you could barley sit on it and be comfy.

Cabin had old panties on the side of the bed and candy wrappers. A old rag was on the shower rod and they came and got everything up but didn’t compensate me for the dirty cabin.

The stay was great. Cabins were clean very good. I know it’s hard but fan/chandelier was filled with bugs and and dust. Also think the pools and activities should be open later. Ice cream store etc. just a few kindly suggestions. We love the place otherwise and will look forward to coming back again.

First lodge smelled like marijuana and my 9 year old gagged and her eyes watered when we entered. Took 30 min to get another cabin that was not that same layout but told it was. Called front desk, said our booked layout not available. We specifically wanted the loft and kids were very disappointed. Floors in cabin were black and so were our feet. Broken blinds and no screen in kids window-not saf

The campground itself looks nice and clean, and well kept. My cabin floor was not very clean, the stovetop burners were dirty, and the grill was beyond dirty (not useable). The rest of the cabin was nice enough to stay in. I would recommend this place and I will return.

Really nice stay like normal, but still issues with how clean the lodges are. Not sure how often the air conditioners filters are cleaned, but it is not often.

The only complaint I have, is the cabin we stayed in 307 was in need of a very deep clean and likely an update. The beds were hard, there were hardly any kitchen supplies (mixing bowls etc.) dingy and dirty drawers and bathroom shower. The glass door had dirt and grim on it. Other than that we love our stay at the KOA.

This is the best all inclusive camping experience with great staff, clean and beautiful. The layout makes it easy to find everything and get there easily. They have two big pools with kiddy pools attached in very centralized locations. The sites are big and staff is everywhere helping out and very friendly. The golf carts are really nice and convenient. The reclining bikes look amazing. Everyone is happy having a great time. The pizza they sell is delicious and they deliver free too. The ice cream is good- tastes like hudsonville. There were no skunks or rodents anywhere do i dk where people got that idea. I didn't even see a squirrel. The gazebos and big covered areas are nice for families. The events at the opera house, pavilions and those big bouncers are great. We found the magic show boring, but at least they have one. The railroad is adorable and great for kids too. Even without sawmill city, there is tons they offer for the price including 5 or 6 kid parks inside. We will be back.
