Overall it was good. A couple of snafus with the kid/Halloween activities that led to some disappointments. A few are easily fixed. The train needs to run more frequently. Maybe every half hour instead of hour. Maybe run it on Friday, tons of kids already there. We have tried for several years to ride and the lines are always too much. Heard a lot of people complaining at the train station.

Great fun for our 8 yr old. Love the hallowwen weekends. Really like the text reminders for activities, when the store is closing etc. Would be nice to have kindling for sale along with the firewood. Hard to start the larger logs and can't bring our own in.

The cabin was absolutely filthy. Do you ever clean them? You charge a lot for low amenties and pay low wages for workers who do not care about their jobs.

I like the campground. It is pretty pricey though. Also, their ice cream palor on site had its hours set until 9 pm. We showed up at 7:57 and was turned away even though the employee said they closed at 8pm. I told him he should change his sign then.

Pricey. Brought our own golf cart since we are handicap and arrived Thursday evening. Was charged for Thursday but never drove it until Friday. Think should only be charged for the days it is actually be used. Thank you, Christine

Staff was helpful, entertaining, and hands on. Bathrooms were clean and stocked, campground overall was very clean amidst the chaos of Halloween weekends. Very impressed, will be back

Had a wonderful time there! Was on a brand new site. Had a little trouble with the grill there but messed with it enough to get it to do what we needed. Booked next year already!!

We went to play a game of disc golf and there were only two discs left, a putter and a mid-range. While I am all for free equipment to borrow, I feel like you should hold a $10 deposit to make sure that the equipment returns and in good order. Everything else was perfect as usual and you guys did an amazing job for Halloween.

We had a great time! The only issue is the nickel and diming for everything. We had family from out of town that wanted to visit but thought the $10/person visitor fee was a bit much so they left

This was the biggest, nicest and coolest campground we’ve ever been to! We had so much fun doing the Halloween camping this past weekend. So many activities for the kiddos! It was wonderful! We will be back.

Staff was phenomenal. We loved all the activities for the weekend. Can someone please clean the fans for the cabins? They were pretty dusty, but overall a great stay!

WE have stayed here several times a year for the last few years and we came and stayed a week this time. Love your facility and will definitely be back again :D <3 always pleasant staff and always helpful. <3

Wonderful staff and campers. Feel very safe there. Enjoy their icecream stand, along with their pizza all within the campground. Campers put on wonderful Halloween displays and all kids enjoy the trick or treating.

Everything was great. Fun weekend. Clean park. Good staff. However the noise level after 11pm (quite hours) means nothing to certain guests. Quite Hours need to be enforced more.

Over priced and the staff is rude.! Sites are cramped and watch out for KOA police.. the old guy with glasses that drives on a red golf cart. He is so rude and finds anything to yell at you and then you become his target and will was with you during your stay!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

You registered 2 adults/one child. Saturday you allowed two un-registered visitors into the campground and were caught. To avoid altercation we allowed visitor to keep car in campground. You advised office you were going to leave bad review and will never return. That will bee too soon-record noted,

Great place to be, but need to treat for mosquitoes. They were bad even when I used "Deep Woods Off." We will definitely return for more visits.

We truly enjoyed our stay. My only issue was the gravel on our site was low and there was a 4” drop from the concrete slab to the gravel. Hoping it will be fixed for next time. Front office is amazing. Kielee & Jersey were the best! Kamry, Madelyn and Savannah helped us often. We LOVE Port Huron KOA!

The communication was great. The planned activities are awesome. My only complaint is related to the cleanliness of the cabins and campsite. There was a lot of garbage on the ground surrounding the cabins. In addition, the cabins could really use a deep cleaning and update. On the surface things look clean, but when you look closer you can see lots of cobwebs, grease, ground in dirt, etc.

We have been to this campground for 6 years in a row now with a large group and always have a great time. We enjoy the pillow, bike rentals and proximity to go karts at sawmill especially. We always stay in a deluxe lodge and usually encounter minor issues (this year a broken drawer and outlet in the kitchen and a really loud/squeaky futon) but nothing too bad. Staff is friendly and helpful!

The campsite itself is a lot of fun and we enjoyed ourselves. I gave you 2 stars because the cleanliness of the lodges is really horrible. I understand that it is "camping" I do not expect perfection but I am wondering if the lodges were cleaned at all. There was urine on the toilet seat. The loft had crumbs and candy wrappers all over. The floors, window sill, blinds caked with layers of dirt.

I would give this place a 5 if they haven’t started charging high rates for cabins that are spot cleaned. Considering you bring your own linen and it’s more than a hotel! No running water no toilets. Which is what I like but these used to cost a fraction of the price now. Unfortunately I don’t think it was worth the price. Very nice atmosphere

Very disappointed this year in the cleanliness of the lodge! When we got hold of someone they were there immediately to clean what I had not already done. That was very comforting. Manager also compensated us for the inconvenience, which again was a big plus! We had to contact the front desk several times and after time on hold we were told we were on hold to long and the call was disconnected.

For the amount of money charged for the deluxe cabins, I would expect a little better. They were very dirty, not just mine but others in our party as well. Our cabin drains, the only way I can explain it, burped a nasty sewer smell that permeated the whole cabin. We wanted to rent a golf cart, was told first come first serve. We love this campground, however the cabin we stayed in is too small, bathroom is incredibly small along with kitchen space. We were lucky enough to get this one however for a Halloween weekend so we made due. In the future we will not rent these type cabins. Really love the place however!

We had a great time! I was disappointed to not be able to rent a golf cart on Friday when we arrived. Checking in at 3 and being charged a full day for 4 hours of use is disappointing. There were plenty available but they would not rent for a half day so we were not able to rent one. Kids were disappointed. We did rent for Saturday but typically do both days.

This place is very family oriented and has a ton of activities for the kids. Some areas are not shaded and small lots but some areas have larger lots and shade.
