We thought the campground was very nice, but we’re disappointed with the little cabin. We have stayed at several and were bummed to see no porch swing, or refrigerator. The picnic table looked unsafe and the ac unit didn’t work. Fortunately my handy guy husband cleaned and fixed it, but it took an hour. It was also right by a very busy road.

We've stayed at a lot of different places in Lava, but after staying in this cabin, we found our new favorite spot! It was clean, very cozy, had a lot more amenities than expected and a view I wouldn't mind waking up to every day! The staff was very friendly and helpful, which is always greatly appreciated. The trains do run by there a lot but it didn't bother us at all. Thx KOA! Two thumbs up!!

The stay was great once we got into our cabin. The front desk person (Jim I believe his name is) was not the most cordial. In fact he was seemingly a little rude. I get it was a busy weekend but treat customers how you’d like to be treated. Check in said 3pm and we didn’t get the cabin until 4:30pm. Should have started the cleaners there since we were on site waiting.

It was nice unit especially the deck area but I thought sleeps 4 was for 4 adults… no way do the bunks sleep adults. Also the bunk area needed more air circulation.

Enjoy our stay, beautiful campground, nice cabin but the trains and traffic at night when you are trying to get to sleep loud. Next time will except war plugs they offered.

The KOA cabins in lava hot springs are extremely clean and well kept. They are nice and comfortable and a great place to stay! It was perfect for our family of 5. We will for sure stay here again!

The Deluxe cabins were perfect for our family reunion. Each family had their own little cabin, right next to each other. The location on the river was so fun to watch the tubers...and you can walk down the hill to grab a tube from Gator Rentals and jump on. So convenient. The man at the front desk was awesome and helpful and was so gracious when we had a misunderstanding about our dog.

The stay was great! Friendly staff. I have stayed in multiple KOA cabins but this one was a little different. The bunkbeds seemed extremely narrow compared to other ones we have stayed in. Also not front porch swing :(

Very happy the basic cabin had air conditioning. The individual bath rooms and showers were a pleasant surprise as well.

Employees were young yet very friendly and helpful. It would be nice to get more instructions upon checking in. . 1) don’t use the cooling unit it will blow the fuse and leave you with no power. 2) no tank needed for your grill it is plumbed in. 3) fire place requires a lighter etc. The beds were surprisingly very comfortable.

The Cabin was clean, the shower rooms were clean but down and locked up for a whole day. That’s the reason why I pick lava Hot Springs KOA, was because they have shower rooms but when they’re down and you can’t even use the bathrooms it’s really frustrating. The older gentleman at the front desk is very non-Friendly very short spoken and acted like I was interrupting him. But overall it wa

That day was a nightmare for us too. In a perfect world things like this would not happen. We did our very best to get the bathroom facilities up and running as quickly as possible. At no level will we accept less than friendly for our customer service skills. This gentleman will be retrained.

It would be nice if you had just bathrooms instead of shower and bathroom, I had to wait to use just bathroom.

Great location. You can walk to the tubing put-in and to the hot springs pools. Cabins were just outside the campground proper but there was a nice walking path to get back to the office. Very quite. The deck off the back had a great view and a lovely gas fireplace. The futon did not come w/ extra sheets/blanket/pillow but the office staff was very helpful getting it all figured out.

We were originally going to stay somewhere else but for reasons not sharing, we came across KOA. I was sure they’d have nothing for us seeing how it was a Thursday and my wife was pregnant. Facilities were run down, expensive, and at one point plumbing was completely unavailable. Fire pit was not managed and required us to dig it out of the mud to even use. Firewood was nearly $10 a bundle. Staff was friendly, but overall very run down cabin and restroom facilities

Beautiful location! Nice that it's all walking distance. Being next to the highway and trains are pretty loud. Young gal at the desk could be a little more knowledgeable about the cabins and what necessities they contain. The website could be more detailed of what the cabins contains (i.e., microwave, small or big fridge, dishes, pots, stove top count, inside pictures).

We stayed in L46 and patio is facing the river. Very nice night bbq and fire pit experience. Close by train tracks and freeway is the downside though. The cabin was very clean and cozy. Kids loved the bunk beds.

The cabins are very cozy, close to the Portneuf river across from the cabins. It runs by some great RV parking spots looking at that river. I gave them 2 stars for service because no one is around Monday to Thursday, along with limited working hours Friday- Sunday. If you want something, you have to get in your vehicle and drive about a mile away to their other office in a different area of town. I find that ridiculous or even worse, asinine, not sure what the owner was thinking of that concept. Everything else was great. Some people might have other opinions about driving away to check out, they should have a drop box located around the office area to drop off the keys where we were staying at, instead of us driving to the other location drop it off, I found that to be very inconvenience for us.
