Perfect central location, lovely riverfront area, large sites, kind & helpful employees. I know the river side JUST opened so we'll be excited to see the landscaping and grass fill in the next time we come up.

The new Riverside section is great! Bathrooms are brand new and clean, private rooms which are a major plus. Awesome, helpful staff. Would love to come back to stay on the Mountain side!

We stayed at the Riverside campground. It was clean, quiet, and very pet friendly. The bathrooms were exceptional with individual showers in each bathroom. Access to the river made for refreshing dips and paddles. The helpful staff constantly added new amenities...fire pit, hammocks, chairs and picnic tables by the river. It's out of town, but close enough to drive in if you wish.

Stayed in the riverside section. As an open field it was very hot and windy. Will definitely try to get in the mountainside section next time

We spent a week and the campground was great. We had a pull-through site that had plenty of room. It is very close to Lake Placid and all of the 1980 Winter Oympic venues and right around the corner from Whiteface Mountain.

LOVED THE NEW RIVERSIDE SECTION! SO CLEAN AND PRISTINE AND BEAUTIFUL VIEW OF THE MOUNTAINS! IT IS VERY OPEN AND SUNNY! IF YOU PREFER WOODED YOU CAN DO THE MOUNTAINSIDE SECTION!

The facility was awesome , clean, organized and the staff was extremely friendly. Great Mountain View's and river was a nice bonus ! Highly recommend already booked another stay here.

We enjoyed our stay , the staff is great . Only suggestion we have is that there should be a privacy fence or tall evergreens put up between site 60 and the cabin next to it since the outdoor area for each site face each other . There is no privacy at all if both areas are occupied. Other than that all was great .

We stayed on the riverside of the campground which was new at the time. The facilities were clean and maintained. All campsites are gravel and level. It’s a great spot for star gazing as there are no trees yet. The staff was friendly and helpful and overall the campground was well managed.

Obviously new, very clean. The bathrooms were fantastic. But the campground lacked personality. It was like camping in a parking lot. No privacy. No view. No shade. Not much for the kids to do.

We were supposed to stay at the new campground Riverside. Since it is new ,there are no trees and no shade. It was extremily hot, so they were able to switch us at Mountain side, which was perfect. Nice big trees . The camping sites are spacious and clean. There are no pools unfortunatly, but there is a municipal beach at Ausable river, a 5 mins walk. Dogs are welcomed.

I have never seen such immaculate restrooms at a campground before!! The staff was constantly cleaning and sprucing and keeping the campgrounds beautiful. The downside to the river sites was zero shade. This would normally be a non issue in this region. However, on a particularly hot week it did get a little brutal, especially is your awning was on the west side.

Great location! Wonderful office & store. Lots of trees & privacy between sites. Bathrooms could be upgraded a bit is only suggestion. Showers inconsistent pressure or very little in shower near office. Thx for everything!

We stayed in the new RV park behind the motel. The sites were nice but there were no amenities for the kids. The "playground" at the main KOA, a 1/4 mile up the road consisted of a small swing set. The rec room was nice. The location was ideal for access to Whiteface and other local attractions.

The Wi-Fi was being changed to a new system which led to the sites having no Wi-Fi at all. We weren’t told of this but discovered this the Wi-Fi log on didn’t work. After several days of being promised Wi-Fi, the owner told us Wi-Fi was not guaranteed, being very dismissive towards his customers when appoached.

We really like staying at this campground & have been for a few years.The grounds,sites,&all facilities are very well kept.Negatives:The way sites are generated is poor.People next to us had a 45ft trailer on a site way to small,when 20ftrs were on double size pull throughs.Having to pay $25 to be next to friends is a joke.(Don't pay this anywhere else).My buddy needed a 7/16 socket & no help.Sad

Best KOA I have ever seen. Friendly, helpful, clean, well organized. Lovely setting in the mountains with beautiful sites. Perfect location to access the sights nearby. My family had a wonderful time together at this KOA!!!

Very lovely campground. Staff is friendly and helpful. We especially would like to give a shout out to Christy! Only suggestion is to increase the number of restrooms. There are only three serving a large number of campers in the area we were staying. Each single bathroom was also a shower stall, so guests using the showers reduced a toilet for the use of others.

Excellent campground with many nice sites. Most have some shade. Quiet area with limited amenities. Lake Placid is very nice, about 12 miles away. Skiers take a look at the Whiteface vertical! It’s scary! Just wish campground had a pool!

We love the new section for our big 41 foot 5th Wheel. It’s a great place to stay so close to all the things to do. The gal in the office were is kind and good as they could be.

The staff at the Whiteface Mt. KOA is always helpful, professional and wonderful! The campsites are always clean, and ready to use every time we return to this KOA. Although the KOA on FoxFarm Rd. is now closed (as we knew it), and we camped there for over 30 years, this KOA on Route 86 is actually our new favorite. Keep up the good work!

No Enforcement of Rules re. Dogs. Beautiful KOA & staff is very friendly & accommodating. However, this KOA's management is just not taking care of business when it comes to enforcing rules about dogs. Several sites had big dogs barking all day and all night, and the staff scared or clueless about how to handle it. Instead, I had to move to another site (travel trailer all hooked up).

Fantastic park, if you like shade take the mountain side option, if you like a field take the river side option. Only complaint is lack of pool - thought all holiday KOAs had pools and the old park had one. There is a nice town beach you can use but would have liked a pool as well. Great location for whiteface and other attractions.

Had an excellent weeklong stay! We love this campground and use it for our base camp for all our ADK adventures. The campground is quiet, clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We love this place!

The employees were very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are brand new and cleaned frequently. Unfortunately there is no shade, no pool, no playground and the gravel is so loose that the kids didn’t feel safe riding their bikes on it.

We stayed in the new section. It's very nice! Easy access to the river. One thing we did not like was the fact that we couldn't have a fire because the ring was too close to the edge of the patio, making it too close to the camper. Also it might be a good idea to put some overflow parking in some empty space down closer to the river. We had a hard time fitting our truck into spot w/the rig.

Nice place to stay to take in the sights around the area. Lots of trees so if you are a Starlink person it can be difficult. The wifi there is excellent and I still was able to stream Netflix. We have T Mobile and our cell service was pretty non-existent in the campground so plan accordingly. We are a 37 foot Super C towing and the campground was big enough for us. Definitely recommend.

Stayed on a Patio site. Everything great with except location of the fire pit is very poorly designed: - Fire pit is way to close to patio edge by camper - Awning would be over fire pit - Repositioned camper to allow fire pit use, had to pull forward, past patio, which required 3 sewer hoses (sewer connection is to far back) - Camper was 35' 5th wheel with opposing slides which is very common

This is a good place to bunker down for the night. I rented the single room cabin. The room had a mini fridge and three beds. Furthermore, there was a nice space heater that really warmed up the room. Each cabin has a parking space in front of the building. Overall, it's a great place to rest for the night especially if you're trying to get an early start on hikes nearby.
