The Lake Placid KOA is fantastic. The sites are heavily wooded and very wide. The location is perfect for hiking in the Adirondacks. The campground personnel were very professional and pleasant.

Street lights near sites 72 & 73 shine directly into the campers. Our group reported this to onsite staff but apparently fell on deft ears. Lights shining against a camper is no fun. It's an EZ fix by simply pointing the lights downward or turning off. Some spots in the park are very dark well other locations are overly bright. A better response to the sites lighting plan needs to be addressed.

We booked a specific site in the fall and then checked to make sure we still had the site in April and told us we did, and then when we got there they gave us the site we hated instead and said we didn’t lock it in. They should have told us when we first booked the site and we would have locked it. The woman at desk was unpleasant as well.

I enjoyed my stay at your park. Great accommodating people,beautiful scenery great place to stay. one major complaint,and it’s a big one Is your price. You are definitely gonna squeeze a lot families out of the market at that price.

Overall, our stay was acceptable, but several issues need attention. The bathrooms and showers require better cleaning and maintenance. Unfortunately, our site was positioned close to the septic tank, resulting in an unpleasant odor throughout our stay. Additionally, the campground is not gated, allowing unrestricted vehicle access.

WE HAVE BEEN STAYING HERE FOR YEARS...THE PRICE GOES UP BUT THE AMENITIES GO DOWN. THIS IS A "HOLIDAY" KOA WITH NO POOL, WAS INFORMED IT WOULD BE OPENED ON THE WOODED SIDE, ICE CREAM SOCIAL WAS CANCELLED ETC

The sites where you actually park your camper are a little narrow. Couldn’t have a rug out because of “new grass“ a playground for children would’ve been a plus. The jumping pillow was nice for the granddaughter. On the plus side, the seating and propane fires by the water was wonderful. And it was very quiet except for one beagle that kept barking.

The campground was well capped. It had beautiful views, and the sites were large and accommodating for big rig vehicles however, there was little or no amenities. If you were a family there was no playground no pool no weekend activities. It was really a place to relax park your RV and catch a few views of white face mountain.

This was our third visit to KOA Lake Placid. Such a beautiful spot. Mountainside is amazing. Great little store and responsive staff. Campground is kept clean, washrooms are well placed and clean. Already booked for next season!

While we enjoyed Lake Placid the campground was disappointing. There we no photos of the sites on line, nor were we told we could not have mats which led to flys, bugs and dirt everywhere. The campground is very expensive with very few amenities if any. If the campground (grass) was not ready you should not have opened it or at least let people know and charge them a reasonable rate.

This place has grown leaps and bounds. It’s great to revisit each year and see the additions. The additional site developments are impressive and we were happy to see activity at all of them! We are very much hoping for a pool again someday and mini golf as well!

Group of four friends stayed on the mountain side and it was fantastic. Large RV sites separated by trees, shaded lots, clean bathrooms. Did not travel with kids so can't speak to the children amenities. Christine from the office was super friendly and helpful to our group. Food within walking distance.

The stay was great, nice campground. The price is outrageous, $110 one night and $150 for the same site for the second night. Not even on the weekend. I am tempted to stop using KOA as they are too pricy for 2 Sr citizens. We don't use a pool, we stay to ourselves. There should be a rate for people who don't use any of the items such as pool, laundry, etc.

The sites at the new Riverside area were very nice, clean and large. The staff was friendly and helpful. and the location was perfect for getting to the Lake Placid Village and White face mountain activities. However for what we got at the campsite itself was quite expensive compared to many other KOA Holiday level sites. WIFI was strong but absolutely no TV service for news weather local stuff.

We started on a riverside site-lovely and new but not our preferred camping style. Fortunately, you were able to move us and we couldn’t have loved our new site more. Perfect spot under the trees, lots of space, and very peaceful. Staff terrific! But, kids riding around way too fast on e-bikes. Dangerous, because people don’t drive the speed limit either! Also, Are the roads one way or not?

Some family were having 2,3 and even 4 dogs and there was a lot of dog poo close to the river. Some were not having dog poo bag with them

The sites are nothing more than row upon row of small parking pads. We stayed at the Riverside site. The Mountainside looked a bit better, but the old site on Fox Farm Road was superior to both Riverside and Mountainside. There were no amenities to speak of at Riverside. All in all, not a great stay for 8 nights.

New and nice, no issues. Very nice river access. Can't complain because we knew going in the riverside lot was an open field turned into a campground so zero shade. Friendly staff and they had everything we needed.

Riverside was nothing but a parking lot . A shame that all the trees were removed, not a single bit of shade on this side. Sites are not level either. How do you build a new campground and don’t have level sites ? The area by the River was however beautiful with hammocks, chairs, and firepits

Almost everything about our stay was wonderful. The staff are friendly and helpful, the sites are tucked among the trees and well-sized, the location is close to town and activities in the area, and everything is clean and well-kept. However, the bathhouse among the sites only has three bathrooms that has the toilet and shower in each. That’s not nearly enough.

Very disappointed. Worst value KOA stay in all our year’s of frequenting KOA. Site was not level, no grass, our view was the dumpsters and koa vehicles. Booked it 2 months in advance and was the worst pull through site in the park. The price was the highest ever paid so expected much more

For the VERY expensive of the site, it seems completely reasonable to have a choice where we chose to sleep. This is the only campground we have ever been to that did not allow anyone to sleep in a tent outside of our camper. Has absolutely nothing to do with "we have tent sites for that". We had 3 people in our party, plenty of room, and one wanted to pitch a tent. Completely ridiculous.

This is a good place to bunker down for the night. I rented the single room cabin. The room had a mini fridge and three beds. Furthermore, there was a nice space heater that really warmed up the room. Each cabin has a parking space in front of the building. Overall, it's a great place to rest for the night especially if you're trying to get an early start on hikes nearby.
