We were enthusiasticly greeted by Lana upon arrival. Our site was wooded and close to the bathrooms. We loved that we could hike right from the campground. Everyone we encountered was friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again.

We found a wonderful trail that starts from the campground called Gulo Gulo. We recommend that you have this trail information included in your map.

Clean, quiet and convenient to our interests. Nice to have a strong and usable WiFi signal to research area attractions and to stay in contact with family.

Staff was friendly Disappointed that there was cable hook up and it didn’t work. When I asked about it, I was told that they do not provide cable

We enjiyed our stay and were greatful that we could add two additional nights without moving sites. A genrrak critique of KOA is sites are very close and a little pricey.

Check in was quick and easy. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We were guided to our site and had to do a bit of leveling. The site could have been longer. Getting our 30' travel trailer and large pick-up parked was tight. Site was well maintained and staff were frequently around the grounds. Price point was a bit steep for what was provided, but that is how things are trending these days.

I had previously stayed at NorthPole - yearly for the Oktoberfest at Whiteface. I was very disappointed in 100 acre woods. We were in a pull through - and we were like sardine cans. The cabin next had folks so close, several times that I thought they were in my rv when they were talking. the site was completely stone - no grass at all. and the shower light was shining all night at campfire.

Our family camped at the previous KOA location for years and were sad when it closed. We are happy to find this new location had a friendly staff, great trails with signage and beautiful sites. Very relaxing!

Office staff very friendly and helpful with questions Camp site nice. Showers need different placement of shower heads. Adding small bench inside each stall would be a plus.

It sucked!!!

This KOA was well maintained and has both heavily wooded and open sites. We enjoyed our open space with just a few trees along one side where we were able to get a strong Starlink signal. Staff were helpful and accommodating. Thanks for a nice stay!

Campground was very clean and quiet. Sites were gravel and level. Store had a nice amount of needed stuff and a small supply of RV need in case you forgot or broke something.

• Staff at the desk told me head office had jacked up the price for labour day weekend. • The campsite had no pool, an undersized play area and a minuscule laundry room. • My neighbour in site number 91 was so close, we could hear them whispering. • The three services were so poorly located we could only connect to two services at a time. What a disappointment for me and my family. $8

Perfect location clean we all felt safe and had a great time definitely coming back

We had a lovely site, backing up to a wooded area and convenient to showers. Our stay was a day shorter than expected, due to a mixup on the part of the campground. When we got a new camper, I emailed to ask whether the then-reserved site would still accommodate us and was told it would. When we arrived, we were told it would not fit. They did fine another site, but we had only three nights.

Great campground. Met all our needs!

Everything was good but for the price, I expected more improvements since last year. Still no cable and the wifi was hardly what I would consider streamable. A lot of dogs barking all day and off leashes too. No one really enforcing the pet rules. It's a beautiful area and this is really the only park with full-hookups so I guess it is what it is.

Great stay, we visited the Olympic sites, Ausable Chasm, and High Falls Gorge. Staff was very helpful in recommending sites to visit. Had a good dinner at the Pickled Pig in Lake Placid. Campground was very quiet and sites were ample size for our 40ft fifth wheel.

Nice campground and appreciated that the sites were wooded and offered more privacy than some KOAs we have been to. Found the prices rather high for the services offered especially since there was no cable and very limited non cable tv available. Liked the proximity to Whiteface Mountain

We spent six lovely nights at the Lake Placid / Whiteface Mountain KOA and had a wonderful stay. As campers who typically prefer smaller, family-owned campgrounds, we were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed this KOA. We stayed in the Mountainside section, which features mature trees that provide plenty of shade and create a true outdoor camping atmosphere. In contrast, the Riverside section is much more open and grassy and felt more like an RV parking area. We were very happy with our Mountainside site. Upon arrival, our Starlink satellite unexpectedly malfunctioned, which was disappointing because we had hoped to watch select FIFA World Cup matches during our stay. Fortunately, the campground's Wi-Fi was more than adequate for streaming the games, with only minimal freezing or buffering. We were grateful to still be able to enjoy the matches while camping. The campground store was exceptionally well stocked with camping supplies, food and drink essentials (including locally made craft beers), gifts, and apparel. In fact, we were very impressed with the quality of the clothing selection. The T-shirts and sweatshirts were higher quality and more attractive than many of the souvenirs we found in downtown Lake Placid. Location is one of this campground's greatest strengths. It is just a short drive from the shops, restaurants, Olympic venues, and attractions of Lake Placid. It is even closer to the Whiteface Mountain Veterans Memorial Highway, which provides access to the summit of Whiteface Mountain. The surrounding area also offers countless hiking trails and outdoor recreation opportunities. As an added bonus, there is a charming snack and ice cream stand, established in 1968, located directly across the street from the campground. This KOA serves as an excellent basecamp for exploring everything the Adirondack Mountains have to offer. We visited in late spring before most schools had let out for the summer, so the campground was wonderfully quiet throughout our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, the grounds were clean and well maintained, and we always felt safe and secure. We especially appreciated the short hiking trails around the perimeter of the campground, which were perfect for walking our dogs between the Adirondacks' frequent pop-up mountain rain showers. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would happily return. In fact, we're already planning to!

This is a good place to bunker down for the night. I rented the single room cabin. The room had a mini fridge and three beds. Furthermore, there was a nice space heater that really warmed up the room. Each cabin has a parking space in front of the building. Overall, it's a great place to rest for the night especially if you're trying to get an early start on hikes nearby.
