Super friendly staff, nice and clean facilities. We miss the pool and access to the river from the old KOA on Fox farm road . We have been going to the old site for over 40 years and miss it but we would definitely come back to this site.

The staff are friendly and the campground is clean. However, there is absolutely nothing for kids to do. No activities, no pool. The advertised ice cream social didn’t ever happen. We set up a tent for our kids to play in since there was nothing for them to do and we got scolded almost right away. Fine for adults but don’t book here with young kids.

Friendly, helpful staff. Gorgeous location. Close to lots of trails and lake placid. Kayaked on lake Everest. Hiked the onsite trails. Great stay.

Great location and nice, clean cabin. Not enough stuff for families to do at the campground which made us drive to other locations to enjoy our vacation. The cabin price is expensive for not much at the campground. Also, the camp store closes at 6 along with the very little arcade and jump pad at the playground. By the time we got back to the campground during the day everything was closed.

Very expensive for what you get. Sand pad wasn't even level. Wood $10 per bundle. Locally, $5.

We had a great stay at the KOA camp ground at Lake Placid/Whiteface Mtn. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. We enjoyed how quiet and peaceful it was. We look forward to next year. Thank you Many thanks to the STAFF.

There were many improvements made since our last visit in 2023. Additional gravel and logistics being one aspect and a jump pad and beach access to the town beach another. There is still no pool like the old site and we are hopeful that’s being considered as the beach is a drive or long walk too far with children in tow. Looking forward to next year !

We only spent 1 night, but the staff was very accommodating, polite and helpful. The area is very beautiful,our site was a pull thru with full services was very nice & convenient.

This is a nice campground in a great area. The staff is super nice. The nearby beach area and local hikes are nice. Lake Placid area is fun. The only issue is the push showers that stop running and need to be pushed again. The facilities are clean. In general, the area is on the expensive side.

We were guests in the motel. Our room was clean, comfortable and conveniently located for our outdoor activities. The staff were helpful and friendly. I expect when the final upgrades are completed on the property we can add a couple stars.

They mention BIG RIG FRIENDLY. That is not the case, at least for Class A rigs (40 ft) - maybe 5th Wheels. Both my side mirrors almost scraped the trees at the park entrance after the main office. NOT LEVEL It wasn't even close. We had to take out our Camco ramps (#12k lbs/ramp) and get the tires to the top level. Insufficient 50amp - best was 114-116amps. Left after 1 night.

We loved the shaded playground and location to Whiteface. Our cabin had many issues with the window screen being bent and loose screen on door. Other then that we enjoyed our stay. The staff was great and store had everything you could need.

Another wonderful stay! This campground is our second home during the summer. Staff is welcoming, very friendly and helpful. Campground is beautiful, clean and well maintained and nice and quiet at night. We will always stay here!

Great place, wonder experience. Very nice campground. Constructive criticism - stop renting those carts to the kids that can't possibly be peddled on the crushed stone roadways. Also we felt really bad for the couple who had the site next to your leach field with the open trench and stinky leachate. Stop renting that site to anyone. On a positive note, the staff was great, so we're the cabins

There are so many good things and other things we wished were different. Good- check in, staffing appeared to be abundant, location. Not so great- very few kids activities, would have love o know what was happening in wilmington at check in since cell service wasn't great, shower timers were annoying, no hiking/trail map for the trails. We tried not to compare to fox farm but we miss the old koa

Check in and check out were easy and the staff was friendly. The bathrooms were clean and campsites roomy. My favorite part is that you can rent stand up paddle boards and kayaks for a reasonable price and take them out on Everest Lake. So peaceful!

We stayed in a deluxe cabin. It was clean, comfortable and had all the modern conveniences - even a Keurig coffeemaker! We will definitely return. Our only disappointment was that the KOA did not have a pool, as many do. All in all, a great weekend experience!

We love staying at the KOA at Whiteface every year when we visit Lake Placid. The staff is always wonderful and the cabins and all of the camp sites are perfectly maintained!

Facilities and staff were exceptional. Disappointing was the courtesy of other campers specifically chopping wood and using normal voices at 6:00am. The sites are simply too close and woke us up friday, Saturday and monday. When i left at 4:00am sunday for the race i stressed my crew move quite not to disturb others

It's a lovely campground, plenty of room on our site, with clean shower facilities nearby. However, the constant smell from the leach field in the area, and fluid running from one of the vents down the road negated any positives. We probably won't go back unless we can be assured that this health hazard has been fixed.

The deluxe cabin was clean and new . In the photos online it shows a bigger cabin and a full oven and stove despite only having a cooktop. Need more than 1 key. Could use a kettle, toaster and scissors.

Sites were big and good hookups. Seemed strange there were water lines and wires laying on the ground. Staff was friendly. A little pricey.

***Update 2025** The new KOA is barebones and not worth the same price of admission. The old KOA on foxfarm is undergoing renovations or is permanently closed. Which is sad because it was a special place. The new KOA is pretty much a parking lot without much trees on one side l, the other that has tents is more conventional but the place is outdated and the pool wasn't working on my last visit. Buyer beware, this place isn't the best. ** THE BELOW REVIEW IS FOR THE OLD CAMPGROUND at Fox run road which is now closed or being renovated** This is our favorite camping place. The rates are affordable for all. We have stayed here 4 years in a row. We have done the cabins, tent camping and recently glamping. Tent sites - On a sand pad, some have electricity, some don't. Bathrooms nearby are clean and have showers with warm water. Staff cleans bathrooms throughout the day. Can't ask for more! Always plenty of sites available with their own fire rings. Kids can ride their bikes to 1 of 2 playgrounds safely. Cabins - We stayed in deluxe cabins and it was awesome. They are right on a cliff above the below stream and you can hear the rushing water constantly. They have 4 bunks in most of them with a pull out couch and queen bed. Also a private bathroom that has soap provided, a kitchen and living room with table. Outside has a deck, firepit, adirondack chairs, and gas bbq grill. Perfect for family outings without having to rough it. Glamping - This is new and we did it recently 6/4/21. The tent is beautiful and has 2 rooms, one queen and one with 3 bunk beds. There is space to hang your stuff, a deck with a picnic table, a gas grill (no utensils provided, BYO), a fire ring, 4 adirondack chairs and it is close to the stream in an isolated area. There are 4 tents. GT2 >1 are very close to each other so be aware of that. The nearby bathrooms are very nice and clean with hot water and a tiny walk away. This place will deliver ice and firewood to your site if you call and request or ask at check in which is AWESOME. There is a heated pool next to the lodge which is awesome. There are 2 playgrounds, an arcade and mini golf on site. The staff are the friendliest people ever and are so nice. Highly recommend for everyone to check this place out. Veterans and Military discounts available.
