I really liked the campground but I think the bathrooms could be closer to the tent sites. Why would they be so close to the big trailers and RVs when those have bathrooms inside them? The site we stayed at was great though, very quiet. The river, pool and swimming being advertised but being a drive down the road was odd though.

the facilities are clean and well maintained. had to cut my stay by one day and was told no adjustment could be made to the bill.

Staff very friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back for a stay. My son and daughter-in-law stayed in a cabin and were extremely happy with the provisions and enjoyed their stay.

For the price you pay of a KOA I expected there to be more accommodations. The only activity for kids would a ride pulled around by an ATV. There was an activity room but most of the stuff didn't work in it and the jump pad that was advertised was basically the bottom of a blow up jump house that wasn't even blown up. The facility was clean but the bathrooms were a bit dreary.

Friendly welcome at check in, clear directions. Campsite was good, not great. Not a lot of options to place a tent and I was worried about 2 large dead trees falling. Facilities worked well. Would certainly go back.

People were great. The park was clean and well taken care of. Site 89 for 4 nights. Constant slight odor from the leach field next to us. Saturday our Progressive surge protector tripped 8 times. Maint. agreed and said it was low114/108 then said our gauge was bad.. At 5;00am mine read 120 118. Use caution with your electronics, Frig, Ac.

Stayed here before with no problems. As soon as we arrived, in the first 2 minutes of checking in we were told “our heads would be ripped off” if we were not quiet by a staff member. We were respectful when entering and the whole time we stayed.

Mom of 3 review! Overall nice campground and we’d likely stay again. Pros: good wifi, firewood delivery, train ride for kids, close & easy trip to attractions. Cons: all roads are small gravel stones which was not stroller or wagon friendly and caused a few spills on bikes; No organized activities for kids, jump pad is down and across a fast busy road, and the main road is super loud and clos

The deluxe cabin was as expected and very clean and comfortable.The desk attendant who checked us in was very welcoming.However we were extremely disappointed with the location and outside space of the cabin.There was no shade at all and an extreme lack of privacy in terms of the location of the fire pit and outdoor seating. We enjoyed their previous location so much more on Fox Farm Rd.

Such a disappointing and precipitous downgrade from the former location. Our carbon monoxide alarm went off at about 10pm and no one answered the front desk phone so we had to call the fire department ourselves to come check it out.

No bingo , no crafts , no pool , dogs no leashes , broken down rec room , wires all over site , sand and dirt hill my cabin was stuck on . Fire pit basically on the road no privacy .

We stayed on the Riverside of KOA Lake Placid. Although it was not what we were used to being so wide open, our stay was exceptional. We understand that the wide openness was due to the fact that it was brand new this season the staff and amenities were amazing. Everyone was super helpful and everything was spotless clean.

Stayed 4 nights here in site # 89. your at the end of the leach field, slight odor. in the past it looks like they tried to fix the odor by sealing the sump hatch but by the looks of the grass on the field it leaks out the right side corner. I had progressive built in surge protection trip 8 times Sat. 114,106 reading said my surge was bad. AT 5:00am both had 120.. use caution with Elec.

The staff were amazing. We were very excited to see that the Riverside reopened. We absolutely LOVED the river access and hang out area that was open to all campers it was a fantastic and relaxing addition. PLEASE PLANT TREES on the camp sites. The heat from the summer sun was harsh and made siting/cooking/eat outside at the site difficult due to the angles of the sites even with the awning out.

I camped at your KOA when it was on Fox Farm Rd at it was a great place. And again when you moved out on to Rte 86 current location and it was great. But last week I stayed in the new section down the street, and it was horrible! It was like being on the face of the sun. HOT and absolutely no trees no shade. You may as well build a Walmart, you have the parking lot!

We were in town for a Jeep Jamboree. The hotel room was exceptionally clean, well maintained and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. I will be back in the coming years for the jamboree and will make booking here a priority.

NIce grounds and staff. There needs to be a restroom at the tent sights farthest from the entrance, and the shower stalls need benches in the dressing area.

The river side camping area has zero trees in the majority of sites. Sites with trees have only minimal shade. With so many trees removed, the river side camping area resembles a typical shadeless, hot RV park in the desert with the exception of having a river we could walk to and a view of green mountains. The river side camping area itself lacks the feeling of the Adirondacks.

We stayed at riverside park vs the mountain side one. Great location new facilities. Very clean and lots to do in the area Only drawback is not much shade at campsites.

In over 40 years of camping I've never stayed at a nicer campground. The sites are well spaced, the facilities are modern and clean. The location is beautiful, quite and convenient. We stayed near the furthest part of the park and the electric, water, sewer and WIFI all worked flawlessly. We will definitely be returning.

The campground itself is very nice if you are staying at the mountainside location however it really lacks in amenities for families with children. The old location offered so much for the kids to enjoy and this place doesn’t measure up at all. The playground is very old and quite honestly dangerous. The jumping pillow was up the road at the riverside. We will choose a different place next time!

Campground is well managed and kept clean. Bathrooms were also the cleanest I’ve ever seen. Personnel were friendly and very helpful. Just wished the store was open later at least till 8 pm and we were disappointed no cable hook up was available. WiFi was also very slow and spotty. Overall we had a very pleasant stay

Awesome job on constructing the sites. We used to stay there when it was the North Pole campground. Love the gravel sites.

The camp sits at to close together and there are no shad trees. I was very disappointed when I got there and you had cut all the trees. In all the pictures I had seen there were trees with no trees makes it very hot and uncomfortable. Will not come back!!

Lovely check in experience, respectful neighbors, fantastic access to nature and activities. If there as an area for improvement, it would be this: It would have been nice if the team had left some trees between each campsite to offer shade and privacy between sites.

The Lake Placid KOA is fantastic. The sites are heavily wooded and very wide. The location is perfect for hiking in the Adirondacks. The campground personnel were very professional and pleasant.

Street lights near sites 72 & 73 shine directly into the campers. Our group reported this to onsite staff but apparently fell on deft ears. Lights shining against a camper is no fun. It's an EZ fix by simply pointing the lights downward or turning off. Some spots in the park are very dark well other locations are overly bright. A better response to the sites lighting plan needs to be addressed.

We booked a specific site in the fall and then checked to make sure we still had the site in April and told us we did, and then when we got there they gave us the site we hated instead and said we didn’t lock it in. They should have told us when we first booked the site and we would have locked it. The woman at desk was unpleasant as well.

This is a good place to bunker down for the night. I rented the single room cabin. The room had a mini fridge and three beds. Furthermore, there was a nice space heater that really warmed up the room. Each cabin has a parking space in front of the building. Overall, it's a great place to rest for the night especially if you're trying to get an early start on hikes nearby.

My husband and I had a very good experience at this campground. Staff was friendly and campground was super clean and very well maintained.
