Very lovely campground. Staff is friendly and helpful. We especially would like to give a shout out to Christy! Only suggestion is to increase the number of restrooms. There are only three serving a large number of campers in the area we were staying. Each single bathroom was also a shower stall, so guests using the showers reduced a toilet for the use of others.

Excellent campground with many nice sites. Most have some shade. Quiet area with limited amenities. Lake Placid is very nice, about 12 miles away. Skiers take a look at the Whiteface vertical! It’s scary! Just wish campground had a pool!

We love the new section for our big 41 foot 5th Wheel. It’s a great place to stay so close to all the things to do. The gal in the office were is kind and good as they could be.

The staff at the Whiteface Mt. KOA is always helpful, professional and wonderful! The campsites are always clean, and ready to use every time we return to this KOA. Although the KOA on FoxFarm Rd. is now closed (as we knew it), and we camped there for over 30 years, this KOA on Route 86 is actually our new favorite. Keep up the good work!

The staff were very friendly and clean! The location is further out of town than I would have liked. We wish list of children's activities on Saturday were given to us at check in because we didn't know until we got a text Saturday morning and we already had a day planned. The ride around the campground was awesome! The playground really needs an upgrade! It's very old and could be improved.

There was some garbage at my site when I arrived but overall very nice and I appreciate the staff dropping off firewood while I was out hiking so I’d have it when I got back.

The campground staff are very friendly and helpful. The grounds are kept clean and there are lots of activities. The location is terrific! Close to the river and beach, as well as many hiking trails (some connect to the campground) and Whiteface Mountain. The cabins have everything you could need. Just show up with clothes and food.

No Enforcement of Rules re. Dogs. Beautiful KOA & staff is very friendly & accommodating. However, this KOA's management is just not taking care of business when it comes to enforcing rules about dogs. Several sites had big dogs barking all day and all night, and the staff scared or clueless about how to handle it. Instead, I had to move to another site (travel trailer all hooked up).

Fantastic park, if you like shade take the mountain side option, if you like a field take the river side option. Only complaint is lack of pool - thought all holiday KOAs had pools and the old park had one. There is a nice town beach you can use but would have liked a pool as well. Great location for whiteface and other attractions.

Had an excellent weeklong stay! We love this campground and use it for our base camp for all our ADK adventures. The campground is quiet, clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We love this place!

The employees were very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are brand new and cleaned frequently. Unfortunately there is no shade, no pool, no playground and the gravel is so loose that the kids didn’t feel safe riding their bikes on it.

We stayed in the new section. It's very nice! Easy access to the river. One thing we did not like was the fact that we couldn't have a fire because the ring was too close to the edge of the patio, making it too close to the camper. Also it might be a good idea to put some overflow parking in some empty space down closer to the river. We had a hard time fitting our truck into spot w/the rig.

Nice place to stay to take in the sights around the area. Lots of trees so if you are a Starlink person it can be difficult. The wifi there is excellent and I still was able to stream Netflix. We have T Mobile and our cell service was pretty non-existent in the campground so plan accordingly. We are a 37 foot Super C towing and the campground was big enough for us. Definitely recommend.

Stayed on a Patio site. Everything great with except location of the fire pit is very poorly designed: - Fire pit is way to close to patio edge by camper - Awning would be over fire pit - Repositioned camper to allow fire pit use, had to pull forward, past patio, which required 3 sewer hoses (sewer connection is to far back) - Camper was 35' 5th wheel with opposing slides which is very common

Our first stay in the ADK, this campground put us a few minutes from both Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. We rode the ADK RailTrail, MTBiked at Hardy Rd Trailhead, and toured all the Olympic sites. Returning to our well set up KOA made our days pleasant.

The park was quiet and peaceful, perfect for relaxing. Bathrooms could use some updating especially with the inconvenient push button showers. Our kids enjoyed all of the activities available. Staff were friendly, our site was spacious

Great spot with restaurants you can walk to and a river right on the campsite you can paddleboard. Nice wide sites with a clear view of the sky for Starlink. We were originally on the mountainside but they let us move to the newer riverside campground.

We would like to see more activities for kids. Example, a couple of years ago, you had special Father's Day activities that were so much fun for dad & kids. You had candy bar bingo in the past, that was a great family activity. Our kids enjoy ceramic painting, thank you. Will you have the bouncy pillow this season? We enjoy our yearly stays with you, everyone is so wonderful!

We stayed at the Riverside section, lot 238. I felt like I was staying at a very sterile Research lab where everyone walked around in a white lab coat and a face mask. Absolutely no style, no character, no privacy, no feeling of enjoyment! The best part was the dog park. At least it gave my dogs a place to play and feel comfortable. Not a single tall tree. I couldn't wait to leave.

It was wonderful! The cabin was spotless, the site was awesome and we loved the glider. The workers were so friendly. I would absolutely stay here again. We had a great time.

Should have bigger dog areas close to campsites. Game room needs some TLC. Sad that people have to pay to play games. Some may not be able to do that. We’ve stayed at other KOA’s that offered coffee and light snacks in the morning at no charge. That set the stage for a customer friendly atmosphere. Excellent KOA…all office and grounds staff were top notch. The property is well-maintained. We’ll definitely return. WiFi wasn’t great but they were in the process of changing the service provider. We stayed on the mountain side for more shade/trees. Avoid traffic noise by staying away from the main road. Plenty of site options.

We stayed at the lake placid K0A a few years back when it was the old location. We had no idea it had moved and would have not booked a cabin for our family if we knew it went downhill. Not only the location that is less appealing (the walk to the river on the campsite was so nice before.. not going across a main road to access it now) but the campsite is NOT for kids anymore.

This is a good place to bunker down for the night. I rented the single room cabin. The room had a mini fridge and three beds. Furthermore, there was a nice space heater that really warmed up the room. Each cabin has a parking space in front of the building. Overall, it's a great place to rest for the night especially if you're trying to get an early start on hikes nearby.

My husband and I had a very good experience at this campground. Staff was friendly and campground was super clean and very well maintained.
