A large campground, many sites and cabins-some a river to float, this KOA has beautiful grounds. Across the street from gem mining which was a fun activity; the mining costs in addition to the pricey site costs. Saturday night concert was nice, and the pool and camp store were also good. Food trucks on site were also helpful, and thankful for member appreciation weekend to offset costs 1 night!

Prior to arrival we would be on site 65. We had family and friends that were to be on site 68 and 69, one has to cancel. The front desk told us we were moved to 68, which was a pull in. We have a tow behind camper, can’t pull in, river front site. All weekend 65 was empty. Our friends had to move their spot to help accommodate, after we were offered a smaller spot without a patio. Desk= No Help

Lovely park. One of my favorites. Bathrooms could use a little TLC. Staff are super nice. The entertainment was great. Food truck was great!

We love this campground. We use Herkimer as a first stop and last stop on trips from Vermont our west.

No TV cable and nowhere in our paperwork did it say that a Roku was needed. Had to borrow one from the office. Women's bathroom in the office building needed cleaning. Bugs, dirt, leaves, toilet paper all over. Prices are high, too.

Very nice campground on the river. We enjoyed our one night stay and would definitely stay at this campground again when in the area!

A beautiful and well laid out resort like campground. However my low rating is attributed to what I can only assume a lack of staff issue. Upon arrival the first thing announced was there was no food. None in the store, no cafe, no coffee. When I attempted to do laundry it was apparent that the KOA staff had occupied all the machines and then went home for the day. The store closed at 5:00 not 6.

The park is beautiful and I wish we could have enjoyed our stay. There are no indications on the website that everything would be closed down on 9/5-no pizza, icecream, mining, shopping. This was disappointing. We weren’t escorted to site and the number was missing off the sign so it was not great getting to our site. Beautiful setting but staff was indifferent and hard to reach. Bathroom dirty.

We loved the campground! Staff was friendly, grounds were clean and there was lots to do. We loved tubing right out of the campground.

We had a bad experience. The horrible part of our stay was the conditions and cleanliness of the place. The bathrooms and showers were always extremely messy and dirty.....toilets clogged, paper towels everywhere, floor muddy....not nice. The worse part was the dump station....clogged and overflowing! can you picture it? Can you picture using it only to see your waste overflowing? Horrible!

Stay was awesome Travis the Manager was great. Only problem we had was we were supposed to get 25% discount off our homewares but for some reason the guy at the counter only haves us 15%. I only checked receipt after we left.

Been coming to the Herkimer KOA on Labor Day Weekend for 10-12 years with a bunch of friends and family. We all agree that many upgrades have occurred over the years,But Not to substantiate the random fees and price hikes that have occurred. We’ll be looking elsewhere for next years experience. Thanks for the memorie$$$ , Mike Dennie

Much to expensive. After paying a lot for the site most of the childrens activities were extra. The lawn needed to be mowed before we got there not when we were leaving.

We have been coming for holiday weekends for 19 years, I would say the last 5 years have been a disappointment. There were no activities, the grass was not mowed(very gross), and staff are not as friendly as they once were. the prices are outrageously high! We keep coming because of the creek only!!

We really loved our buddy site location just wish it had sewer hookup there. Dump station was an overflowing mess, not sure you could do anything to help it or not.

We stayed in the new section. All the staff was wonderful and exceptionally helpful - even when we had a sworm of wasps starting a next by our awning! The new section is already in good shape. Hoping the new section will have a dog park.

Amazing campsites, very clean campground. We just wish that the front end staff knew what a 'buddy site' was as we received opposing campsites, which were NOT buddy sites, even after much discussion about them. We had to finagle our camper in the wrong way in order to make the sites we were assigned into buddy sites. Otherwise, very happy with the experience!

We really enjoyed the outdoor area with games, fire pit gathering spots and food rvs! This is a really nice quiet location right on the creek. Tubing down the creek looked awesome!

We stayed over night Fast check in. I think one of the neatest KOA resorts . They have a lot of cabins and the store has water snacks etc. The store was open to 8:00 wich is a plus I highly recommend this KOA

Really disappointed in the upkeep of the resort. Bathrooms were NOT cleaned once during my stay, they were gross! Unacceptable and disappointing for the cost. Been here a few times and it has gotten worse over the years. River location, mine and close to home is why we come back. There are much cleaner, better maintained campgrounds in the system. This one is on auto-pilot just to make money, sad.

You told me in May that you were keeping the play set that had been in the Garden, but it was Gone. No high speed internet available; would rather have had cable since it was reliable. TOO HIGH PER NIGHT PRICE to stay. This isn't Aruba!

Lots of things to do , loved everything except the fact that every other rv site was on the wrong side, it made it very difficult to get out of the door and you were right on top of somebody else’s site

Group 6 sites down blasted horrible music all day and into the night. Could not hear ourselves think or enjoy sitting outside. That should not be allowed. Ruined my vacation. Extremely disappointed at the lack of follow through by the KO@ staff after they were asked to turn the music down.

Was booked a new patio site and when we got there they said it didn't exist yet. Why did they allow us to book it? Then they told us there was no price difference .... um no. Of course there was - a new KOA Patio site vs a squished site??? Plus we paid for a locked site????? My husband said they finally gave him some refund but in my book it should have been free.

This a first time for all of us and was different. I had fun even though the rain had to remind us that we're powerless when nature brings the rain. Several diamonds were found including several decent sized ones. Prices in the shop were a bit steep for my budget but the little experience I've had with Crystals kinda shows what we all know...quality is not cheap. I do wish I had brought a few larger rocks back as I now have the means to cut into them. I did grab a few that should look nice after a session in the rock tumbler.

We camped here last weekend for their season opening. The staff was so very nice at both the Campgrounds and the Mines. Everyone we met was just absolutely just the most friendly and welcoming that we had an amazing time and immediately rebooked to come back when it's a tiny bit warmer. Despite having a rainy and cold weekend, the view of the creek was lovely and my kids had a ton of fun at the mines and my little guy loved the playground.
