Our third time to Herkimer, we always stay at the deluxe lodges on the mining side of the street up at the very top (351). There are three (350, 351, 352) This time we brought up two additional families and we all enjoyed the accommodations, employees, and mining. We were bummed the Miner's Table restaurant wasn't open for the season yet, but Hannaford has great party platters for large groups.

There appears to be no reinvestment in the property. No telescopes in astrology lodges. The lights are not working. The heat in one of the rooms is not working. The facet in the bathroom is falling apart.

This was our 2nd stay in the Miner's cabins. We had such a great time previously, we convinced my brother-in-law and wife to join us and everyone had a very pleasant stay in the cabins, and some very exciting moments in the mine!! Such a unique adventure! On a practical note, the cabins were clean, the kitchens well stocked, and loved little details like the porch swing and outdoor grill!

The ceiling fan was very wobbly, the bbq grill hinge was not attached and the grill would not stay lit. The silverware was dirty and there was an old sock in the couch with crumbs in the crack when we laid it down to set up into a bed.

It was perfect !!! They thought of everything for us in the cabin !!! The bed was so comfortable, the living was perfect. Even the bathroom was perfect.where the cab is situated is breathtaking.. it was our first time camping and this was an amazing experience thank you .and the staff was so friendly.

Check in/out seamless, staff friendly. Campground very clean. Stayed in cabin right in front of diamond mine. Spacious/Clean, had everything we needed. Amazing being able to walk right over to diamond mine. Only cons were that we believe there was a prom at the diamond mine and we were left listening to all of their music till 5 minutes before 10pm on Saturday night. Grill needs TLC.

Stayed only one night in a glamping pod eith a bathroom, wished it had been 2. The pods are small, but very convenient and cozy. Out only suggestion would be more hooks to hang up towels and jackets. There is only 2 on bathroom door. Mining is fun, found several beautiful diamonds on the ground just after the rain. My hubby mined a few out of the stone. Great time!

Booking.com sold me a room in a motel that was no longer operating, and I was without lodging in a strange place. Thank you for taking my late booking! The glamping hut was gorgeous, and the hosts were very kind and thoughtful. I could have done without the weed whacking outside my hut at 8am, particularly since I was one of the only guests out there, but I guess it’s gotta get done some time!

I added on a night to the beginning of our reservation and it was a smooth, efficient transaction. The cabin is exactly as described. This is first time staying in a campground. Was pleased with cleanliness, quiet surroundings and location of our cabin. Look forward to booking again with Herkimer KOA.

We were arriving late and the caretaker at the time was absolutely amazing in helping us along the way. It was our first time there and we are planning on coming back asap. Cute little diamond in the rough :-). I even caught a fishy in the fishing pond.

The diamond mine being right across the street, a 5 minute walk away, was perfect! It helped us maximize our time at the mine. We also enjoyed the cabin. It was a nice size and we appreciated that it was green.

Overall the park is nice. Our cabin was pretty dirty though. Lots of spiderwebs and dirt in the cabin. I've worked for the parks in Michigan for years and we always do a deep clean at the beginning of the season. This definitely wasn't done. Also had my shoes stolen from our porch. Didn't seem like the front desk people cared to much which was crappy.

Our Cabin was very nice but it was infested with spiders. I killed about 20 before I went to bed. I woke up to having 2 more on the ceiling and one crawling on the side of our bed and more in the bathroom. I'm not a spider fan.

Hilltop Mountain View lodge was very luxurious, clean and cozy. It has everything you need so you can pack light. We were there when it was cold and had no issues with heat or hot water for showers. It is a 10 minute hike to the mining area so you may want to drive if you opt for these beautiful new lodges. My family will remember this experience.

DK1 Cabin. Nice. Clean. Had everything you need. Bedding, towels, soap, dish soap, paper towels, dishes, cookware, silverware. Good heat except the bathroom. not sure of that setup. Happy to have the warming light and the hot water. I would stay there again. Wish the prices weren't so high on the cabins.

Person at front desk of KOA was very nice and informative. Cabin was a perfect size for a family of 5. Location was very convenient to the mines. All of us enjoyed looking for diamonds at the mines.

Fantastic campground, plenty of amenities! Stayed in one of the Glamping pods and it was everything I needed. I also attended the 1st Crack Event at the mine and it was amazing! Would recommend

Loved the hospitality of the staff. We came in late after office hours and they left the key for us. Our favorite KOA is in Herkimer and we have been coming back for years.

We had an excellent stay, the cabin was really lovely and much nicer than I expected plus it was well stocked. We could not have asked for more. Check in was easy and the staff were helpful. Thanks KOA, we will definitely be back!!

My husband and I came for the first dig. We have been to the mine many times but this was the first time on opening day. We were very impressed how organized every thing was. All the employees were very kind and friendly. We will be back later in the year.

Vic was very knowledgeable, and knew exactly what to do, answered all my question. I cut myself and he gave me bandaids and alcohol wipe to clean the cut. He seem to genuinely care. The room was marvelous. There were enough towels, pillows, sheets, and a nice shower. The tv was nice. I had a really nice time for my 42nd anniversary. I couldn't believe it was that nice at a great price.

We had a good time in miners village cabin. I was disappointed that there were no activities during our weekend ( 10/19 - 20) Just because it's the end of the year shouldn't mean that you don't offer what happens in peak times.

We arrived in the and The directions on the map they left for us made no sense. It told us to look for a little side street to park on but yet there was a driveway behind our pod. While it was nice I didn’t feel like it was worth what we paid. There was no WiFi in the cabin. I messaged the number that is listed to ask for assistance with the WiFi but they don’t respond.

I received your message and am really disappointed in koa. Our family has held a reunion in Herkimer for over 15 years, bringing 70-80 cousins together making countless memories. It now includes four generations.I found it necessary to cancel some reservations due to family reasons. I was told I would be charged $25 each. Customer service is the key to successful business operations, this is an extremely poor example of that skill. The amount of $25 for each reservation cancellation adds onto an already large amount of money I spend there .Koa would not miss this amount, in my financial life, it matters. It also says a lot about koa and their lack of appreciation for loyal customers

The entire experience was amazing. The cabin was clean. They provided everything needed from dishes and pans to towels and shampoo. Everyone was extremely helpful and pleasant. The mine was a great found some great crystals. Will definitely be back!
