We had a blast! First camping trip with daughter as a divorced mom and dad and we couldn't have been more happy with the facilities, activities, river and of course the public mine across the street.

We stayed in one of the rustic cabins and when you say rustic I say primitive. The cabin floors was very dirty and worn out. No air conditioning or even a fan. The porch had carpenter bees drilling in the wood above us so we weren’t able to relax on the porch.Those cabins need a lot of work before I would rent them to anyone. The only good part of staying was meeting the asst manager and Amber.

We stayed in Solar Lodge 2 for a few nights. We had friends at the same park in an RV so it worked out well. The cabin was fairly clean. The kitchen had some dishes, glassware & utensils however the pots were dirty and they weren’t the best condition. We were there mid week so the restaurant and snack bar weren’t open which was disappointing. Overall nice quiet family friendly park.

We had the tree house cabin, loved it but be carful when it rains the bathroom floor gets a puddle from a leaky electrical air exhaust fan. You could fall. We showed the staff with a Vedio how it leaks. They were going to take care of it. Otherwise it was a great time.

I would be likely recommend the KOA, however, the mining area left me and my wife very disappointed – Again. I don't think we will be back.

Wonderful camping! Staff were great place was clean, camp grounds were unique but lots of beautiful nature, plenty of activities, wonderful pool and camp store. Plus the Miners village and mine across the road were one of a kind combined!

because of the smoke in the air the boys did NOT see anything in the sky either night we stayed they were pretty upset as well as I for the money I paid. It would be nice if I got to come back with the boys maybe for half price or some kind of a deal.

The campground itself was nice. The grounds were kept beautifully. We stayed in a deluxe cabin the condition of the cabin was not great. it seemed old and worn. The wall air conditioner had been replaced with a window unit that did not keep the cabin cool. Internet Wi-Fi service was advertised but did not exist inside the cabin. Website information wasn’t accurate .Staff was excellent and helpfu

Deluxe Cabi w bathroom, 2nd time. BUT could not get TV to work, Ceiling fan was dusty, could not get my laptop to work. But we love this KOA and we will be back! My husband loves to bang on rocks for the Diamonds!

glamping pod was so cute! amazing location. the staff were so friendly. the only reason i didnt give 5 stars were because the main bathrooms were a bit dirty. they werent stocked with paper towels or TP and could use a little TLC. (there were other bathrooms further away from our glamping pod that were really nice, we just had to walk really far to use them)

We loved the Herkimer Diamond KOA! We would love to return and highly recommend! The grounds are beautifully maintained and the mining for Herkimer diamonds is so fun! It's very family friendly for all ages. We stayed in a cabin and visited friends camping in their camper. Both areas are great! The kids enjoyed the park, giant chess, corn hole, swimming, and of course, we all really liked mining!

We loved the accessibility to the river and Diamond Mines from the camp. However we booked a camping cabin, per website stated it provided air conditioner but cabin we were put in did not. But camp was nice enough to provide a fan to make it more bearable to sleep in the hot cabin. We will plan to visit again. But book a cabin with a.c. for the summer months.

We had a wonderful family weekend at the Herkimer Diamond KOA. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. The activities planned for kids were a hit for our children. Very clean and adorable cabins. So many fun things for everyone! We cannot wait to book our next stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. The facility is beautiful and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The solar lodge was lovely and suited our family of 5 well. The mattresses were not very comfortable, however that did not impact our trip negatively. We’re looking forward to the next time when we can visit for longer!

The staff is extremely friendly, the lodging is great, we didn't use any of the amenities but I noticed they offer ice and wood delivery which is a perk. The only thing that disappointed us was that we were really looking forward to having a pizza from the on-site restaurant delivered, and they are only open on weekends.

No worker/Peron available after 6 pm during the middle of week!? Pool not open stated times...see above Same as above with bike rentals.... No propane in grill that was stated that we could use Both of advertised restaurants on site were closed permanently. If I would've know this I would have booked a hotel in town so kids could swim after we get back from mining!

We had a great time at Herkimer koa! The staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. We wanted to rent a golf cart but they were rented already but one renter didn’t show up yet. A few hours later they contacted us back to let us know that they were not coming and we could rent it now.

This is our second stay at the Diamond Mine KOA due to the proximity to a recurring family reunion. The cabins are super cute and convenient for our purpose. However, for what you pay some improvements should be made. Mattresses on the sofa bed and in lofts are old, lumpy and uncomfortable. The bathroom linens are small, threadbare and in need of replacement. Our cabin also had an ant problem

I had a great time hunting for diamonds and fossils. Everyone was very helpful. The direct TV connection didn't work, and when I called about it, the response was that we don't have cable anymore. I think you need to update the website for information on times and amenities.

We stayed in Solar 1. It was clean and had everything we needed. However the water pressure wasn't very good and the hot water was hit and miss. Our son and daughter and families were camping there also. They said the water pressure was low on their sites and were told it was due to the amount of campers on Fathers Day weekend. The fireworks were great, though they started strong.

The things we liked-many activities for the family, friendly staff and well stocked cabins. The only concern was that the cleanliness of the cabin could've been better. Microwave was dirty (not cleaned before our visit) and some things needed dusting-like the shelf in the bathroom and the range hood which each had quite a bit of dust on them (have not been cleaned in a while). We really had a great time! We were with a group and were a little disappointed to be so far away from everyone else, but it all worked out. I did have to call the emergency overnight numbers for an urgent concern and left a message and didn't hear back so I hope it was tended to. Cabin bed was uncomfortable We have already shared our itinerary with others. We really did enjoy ourselves

Amazing facility. There were so many activities to participate in throughout our stay. The diamond mine is so much fun. The food was great. The staff was fantastic. We staying in a deluxe cabin that had all of the things we needed (linens, dishes, towels, cooking utensils, soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc). We didn't really need to pack anything other than clothes and a hair dryer :)

The employees were super nice and very responsive. The campground is excellent. The diamond minds are great. I have nothing negative to say about the entire trip. It was a joy amd a pleasure and I appreciate every thing every one does to make it such.

Cabin immaculate. Camp ground fantastic. Staff very helpful and friendly. However - no food close by, no breakfast. The miners table over expensive - $25 for a salad? The restaurant smelled like mildew and mold - we left and didn't have dinner. Also had our rocks with Herkimers in them stolen from our bucket while we were digging.

What a lovely stay. We found the facility in general and our tent site very clean. The kids loved staying right next to the river. Another family left us a tube, and my daughter (8) and I tubed down the short stretch of river recommended by the signs, which was fun. When the weather forecast turned to thunderstorms, the office staff helped us switch from a tent site to a cabin. Thank you Jimmy!!!!

We rented a “deluxe” cabin. Our full size bed was a futon, the sheets left for us were not only full of holes but they were for a much larger bed so they came off during the night. The hi speed internet was nonexistent. And if you want to truly mine for diamonds, find a place where you aren’t only allowed in the discard piles from the “real@ miners.

Every thing was great, except the beds. Ever single one is extremely uncomfortable. I love the new ice cream truck and the coffee bar looks like it will be a great addition. But none of that matters, if everyone is cranky because they couldn’t sleep. Please update the mattresses!!!!

Bed sheets were stained and gross on main bed and pull out bed. Window air conditioner couldn’t cool a bathroom, dog poop everywhere on our site, public bathrooms disgusting, small refrigerator didn’t cool

This a first time for all of us and was different. I had fun even though the rain had to remind us that we're powerless when nature brings the rain. Several diamonds were found including several decent sized ones. Prices in the shop were a bit steep for my budget but the little experience I've had with Crystals kinda shows what we all know...quality is not cheap. I do wish I had brought a few larger rocks back as I now have the means to cut into them. I did grab a few that should look nice after a session in the rock tumbler.

We camped here last weekend for their season opening. The staff was so very nice at both the Campgrounds and the Mines. Everyone we met was just absolutely just the most friendly and welcoming that we had an amazing time and immediately rebooked to come back when it's a tiny bit warmer. Despite having a rainy and cold weekend, the view of the creek was lovely and my kids had a ton of fun at the mines and my little guy loved the playground.
