The diamond lodge location and exterior was great. Upon entering we found that there was not 4 Bed-Bunk Bed Sets and 1 Bed-Full Bed. There were 2 full beds and 2 bunk bed sets, we made it work with the family we were sharing it with but it was unfortunate. The other thing was finding two cockroaches in the house (so don’t leave food out). Other than that, it was a good experience.

Our stay was wonderful. The cabin was very nice but no hot water for the shower, if that is the only problem we had then be it. Everybody was very nice from the people who worked there from the other travelers. We stayed at the WOOF cabin. We will definitely stay there again in the WOOF cabin

The worst stay I have ever experienced. We arrived about 40 min early to resort and when we went to check-in they told us it would take a 25 early check in fee. after that I was rudely told that my kids cannot take picture by the golf cart outside.The rooms smelled like alcohol and mattress very uncomfortable. there is literally nothing do around here besides spending 2 hours at the Diamond mine.

Only 1 minor suggestion - in shower room there should be at least 1 bench. Older people cannot get clothes (pants, socks) on standing up. Other than that, it was great!!!

We have been to Herkimer KOA many times in the past and always enjoy it so much. This time was no different and we had a great time. The only problem we had was that every utensils and the pot and colander were put away without being washed. Everything was covered in crusted, old food. We had to run to Walmart to purchase plastics silverware and a spatula before dinner burned. Otherwise perfect!

The camp ground is very nice and we did enjoy our time there the only issue was the activity they had schedule were not very organized. They would change location constantly. A lot didn't start on time especially the flash light games. They started the time it should have ended, we sat around for 30 min waiting and pushing bedtime even later. A lot of the crafts didnt have enough materials

This has been the best camping experience I have ever had. The campground was clean, well organized and with the amount of campers there, very quiet. There were a variety of activities for kids of all ages. We will definitely be back. We rented the solar cabin which had a smaller refrigerator and no microwave or oven due to the electric draw on those appliances.

Our family has been going to this koa every year on this weekend for 24 or 25 years. New policy says you can't check in early regardless that the cabin is cleaned. I was charged 25.00 to check in hour early because after traveling to here for hrs, had to plug crockpots in for the lg friday night meal. Had to leave the key in cabin 1 door because it selflocks. Not happy with the new extra fees.

Rented the Diamond Lodge from 7-26 thru 7-31 for approximately $3911.70.We specifically rented this unit as it had central AC and could accommodate five guests. AC was not working the first 3 nights.I understand malfunctions happen but it wasn’t till after the 3rd day an HVAC technician came out. I was surprised at the way things were handled by KOA: no apology, AC window units nor extra fans.

This was our first experience with a KOA and overall it was pretty good. We were disappointed with the activities schedule online vs what actually happened for the week and it was disappointing not being able to check in any earlier than 3:00. Every hotel or resort we’ve ever stayed in has been available for check in at least an hour early. Amenities were fun and everyone had a good time though.

This was the best vacation! The staff is amazing! Polite, informative, very helpful! We stayed in the new Glamping' Pods above the mining area. Great site, very serene, quiet and very comfortable. The Pods are perfect for us that prefer modern yet simple accommodations. We will be staying again next year!!

I was beyond disappointed with our stay. After a long day of driving, we arrived to our cabin and it was about 90 degrees inside and humid. We almost didn’t find the AC hidden behind the table and it took about 6 hours to cool the bedroom down because there was no fan or AC in it. If you need smaller than a large, don’t plan on getting a souvenir shirt or sweatshirt either. Worst experience ev

We had a great time! Missed my coffee first thing in the morning around 7 but it was available after 8 when the camp store opened. Employees are friendly and very appreciative of the campers.

This campground was great! Everything was clean and well kept. The beautiful grounds, cabins, pool, store, and public areas. Lots of things to do, and the creek was awesome. The windmill lodge had all the kitchenware we needed and a nice big deck with plenty of seating. The only thing I would change would be the fold out couch. That mattress was very uncomfortable, but all the other beds were nice

Overpriced for the condition of the lodges. I stayed in Bluebird #17. Toilet was not clean. I took a picture and showed it to Becca. Dirt in the corners of the baseboards. $25 for early check-in. Charging for more than one car when the unit sleeps 6. All money grabs. Marriott prices for Motel 6 condition. Use of the amenities should be covered by the high rates.

We always have a nice time because the KOA accommodates our entire family reunion. HOWEVER, the sleeper cabins are extremely hot. Something needs to be done to lower the temps in those ovens! Air conditioning? Maybe a ceiling fan? The prices are high for a cabin with no bathroom, running water or AC. Making them more comfortable would help!

always have fun, people friendly place to. I stay in a lodge#78 @ koa Herkimer for the past 10+ years for our family reunion. It's old,unkept. Cleaning is poor. For the $ price I pay I wonder what do yo do with all of it? The fees so ridiculous, it makes on feel like you don't much care. We are a very large group, location and logistics inside the park work, so we return for that feature yearly

After 40 plus years camping at Herkimer, the cabin we stayed in (#77) was run down and the broken wooden deck that broke last year had not been properly repaired a year later. The Roku for the TV was missing. The staff was great (especially Jamie) who assisted us in finding a lost necklace. For $300 a night, every cabin should be properly equipped (missing can opener & bowls). Hope it gets better.

This is a great campground. The property is beautifully maintained the staff are great and there is something for everyone there. I had a wonderful stay in one of your cabins. I have stayed there several times in different cabins and pods. All are very nice. The deluxe cabin has everything you would need for your stay.

Fees for everything! Considering how much we paid for a bug infested “glamp” pod, we arrived at 2:15 pm and though the space was ready a $25 fee was requested for early check in. Mining costs $19/ per person, premium up charge for Fri/Sat/Sun. There is also a late check out fee of $25. On site amenities shut down by 8 pm. I will not be returning to this site.

I stayed 8 years ago. With my son. We came back for his 21st birthday. You have made some amazing improvements in the campground. The stay was wonderful. My son an my nephew who also came 8 years ago kept raving about it. They are already planning another trip next year.

Back of pod felt like it settled/unlevel a smidge. Keurig cord didnt reach outlet but no biggie, we moved it to another one. Overall, a great time and loved the mountaintop privacy for two!

The way that cabins are listed online is entirely deceiving and we didn’t get the type of cabin we deserved. While the manager was sympathetic there was no other cabin available. We spent a lot of money for something not adequate for our family and I’m really disheartened by it. We have very little desire to ever return here. The food truck was phenomenal however. Kudos to them.

The Deluxe cabin had everything listed in it's description, cabin and linens were clean, new appliances. Had a handicap cabin w/ bunk beds and futon which is odd setup. Campground is clean and updated. Have visited the Herkimer Mine over 10+ years. Cons: On site food or beverages was lack luster at best and requires review, especially when traveling with families. Overall enjoyable visit.

I received your message and am really disappointed in koa. Our family has held a reunion in Herkimer for over 15 years, bringing 70-80 cousins together making countless memories. It now includes four generations.I found it necessary to cancel some reservations due to family reasons. I was told I would be charged $25 each. Customer service is the key to successful business operations, this is an extremely poor example of that skill. The amount of $25 for each reservation cancellation adds onto an already large amount of money I spend there .Koa would not miss this amount, in my financial life, it matters. It also says a lot about koa and their lack of appreciation for loyal customers

The entire experience was amazing. The cabin was clean. They provided everything needed from dishes and pans to towels and shampoo. Everyone was extremely helpful and pleasant. The mine was a great found some great crystals. Will definitely be back!
