The water in the pool was COLD! Disappointed that the restaurant (Miner's Table) is permanently closed. The stairs leading up to cross the road to the diamond mines needs to be updated (painted). A bee's nest at front of cabin - stung 5 times (we informed cleaning staff and front desk). Other than that, we loved it there!!! Would like to return.

I will never stay at a different camp ground again! It’s KOA was a total win for us! When traveling we will stay at a KOA over an air bnb if available within 30 miles of destinations!

The cabin was the perfect size and right in front of the creek. Would definitely go back and rent the same cabin.

Stay was great. Everything was perfect, pool was great, the lazy river was full which was great. Everything and everyone was very nice and any issues were remedied right away. One thing, SL2 cabin didn't have a microwave, or a big fridge, seems like oversight with the price point.

It was a surprise to me that although I booked two cabins in one transaction that the cabins were not located together. Instead we were told that we would have had to pay an extra fee per cabin to be next to our family.

We stay in the newer cabin and it was gorgeous view on top of the hill. The inside was beautiful and it was great to not have to bring as much as we normally do.

We 5 stayed in SL1 and loved it! This is a great place for families, whether in an RV, tent, or one of their many cabin/cabinette options. There's a swimming pool, playground, and creek alongside offering a bunch of things for kids to do. It's located across the street from Herkimer Diamond Mines, where you can dig for shiny treasures. We'll definitely return for a bit longer next time.

I really enjoyed the mine. It was a great time there. Staff was all super nice. Pool was average. My kids did love the slip and slide addition. I was not as impressed with the deluxe cabin. We had many issues. Which were mentioned to staff. For the price we paid. I expected a little better. But loved the location of the deluxe cabins to the mine.

I couldn't have asked for a better trip. The treehouse was even more than what it lived up to be, and everything you could needed was accommodated for around. I even got engaged at the mines and the staff made SURE it was nothing but an EXCEPTIONAL stay for us, even giving us their blessing of good luck and fortune �ϋ� Thank you so so much to everybody at the resort and mines! You are the best!

Loved the Glamping pod. Pricey- but OK. Well appointed- perhaps advise guests to turn off their cars ( or drive a little ways away ) so others may enjoy the porch without noise and exhaust fumes. Also advise guests to bring a bag that slides under the bed easily- no drawers or counters, of course. I would have loved the porch lantern but the battery was dead.

We stayed one night on our drive back home from Maine to New York. It was clean, cozy and quiet. We will definitely be going back when the weather is less hot so we can enjoy the mining experience!

We stayed in a Kozy Kabin and it was just that! Though small, it was comfortable and having AC was a wonderful break from hot days.

I love that everything is provided for like the linens and individual grills at the cottages. You did not have this years ago. The only problem I have is that the kid's activities are mostly with a fee and the bathrooms were not cleaned consistently.

we stayed in tree house and it was dark inside did not care for that. i forgot to tell the front desk that they need to spray for ants at the tree house as we saw a few small ants walking around on the countertop in kitchen area. Steps had a hole in one of them that needs to be fixed. the main bed needs a new mattress, the mine, should offer different rates for different times of the day

The astronomy Lodge was a delight. True, some finer points need attention such as rotting railing, replacing microwave, extra trash bags, observation dome door fixed...but it was comfortable, working, and decorated perfectly. Well placed in the campground. Staff this year were excellent, all were polite, helpful and friendly.

The Campground is very well maintained. The staff are professional and extremely helpful and accommodating . The setting along the West Canada Creek is Beautiful. The proximity to the Herkimer Diamond Mine is convenient . Our accommodations in a small cabin was clean and comfortable. We are looking forward to a return visit. Thank you for a good getaway .

Herkimer KOA is meticulously clean. The grounds are gorgeous and employees are super friendly. We rented a deluxe cabin for 3 nights. Love that the cabins are on the river. We brought tubes from Walmart and my kids had a blast! Our cabin didn’t have hot water so we bathed in the bath house (slight inconvenience). Also the AC would make loud screaming sounds at 2am-ish and wake us up and shut of

Excellent place to stay and we will return again someday. Would have given a 5 but the bathroom near the basic cabins had a strong smell of sewage coming from the drains in the women’s bathroom. Hopefully they are able to get that fixed. Everything else was great. Ice cream truck and outdoor fire pits were very upscale for camping.

This was our 1st experience with KOA. I know not all properties have the same amenities, but we were blown away with Herkimer. Our cabin was clean, comfortable, with a HUGE deck. We were steps away from the playground and creek, and my kids (ages 12 and 14) had an amazing time. They tubed in the creek, rode pedal bikes, and had a campfire. The onsite food vendors were fantastic. We'll be back!!!

The room was ok but I was woken up Multiple times through the mourning from a woodpecker on the pod I was in. As well with the window curtain breaking off a few times and falling while we slept.

This campground is a true GEM (yep, I said it!). On top of the awesome family friendly mining experience, there are many other amenities & activities for families. Also a great variety of lodging options to choose from. Lovely to be able cook at camp site but also use the food truck for a night "off". Everything was clean and well kept, and the staff was super helpful! Thank you!!

We had a nice stay here, loved the garden area with comfy furniture, gas fire pits and food/drink options, people were nice, we weren't prepared to do mining so will try another time. Do wish there were a few more activities there like mini golf or basketball court, just more active things for kids. We also didn't love that we could not park next to our cabin but overall we enjoyed &would go back.

We stayed in the hilltop lodge(s) which were new, spacious, clean, and bright. Plus they were stocked with everything you need. We enjoyed our stay immensely and took in all the activities - from mining and fishing to firepits and frivolity. Thanks for making our stay an all-in-one-spot adventure! The staff go out of their way to make everything perfect!

Overall this is a great campground with excellently maintained common spaces, clean showers and bathrooms, a super fun activities schedule and friendly staff. Also its located directly across the street from the KOA Herkimer Diamond Mine, so we walked there which was convenient. We rented a glamping site for 4 which is suitable for a night or two. The only issue was the actual room was dirty ( had dust and animal hair everywhere ) the coffee maker didnt work and the towels provided were super small. I'm still giving 5 stars and still 100% recommend staying here. The beds were comfortable and the sheets decent. Many of sites, including the one we rented, are facing the river. Ours had a sweet little pourch and a swinging chair for two. All that makes up for the dirty room. Cause clearly this place is awesome and I feel lucky that I got to stay here.

Absolutely amazing EVERYTHING! The treehouse has lived up to its hype fully equipped with everything you need even down to the cutest copper sinks. The place smells of cozy warm wood, and the biggest hammocks you could ever see! The whole resort was laid out beautifully, perfect walk around all attached to the amazing West Canada Creek! Everything about the mines and the finds in the gift shop were so much fun and endless. We even got engaged and the staff made sure it was nothing but EXCEPTIONAL before we left!! Gave us a moment to ring the bell and send us off with something to commemorate our journey together. I couldn't have asked for a better trip, THANK YOU HERKIMER MINES AND KOA! ❤️The nearby towns were great to pop into as well, absolutely worth the trip from little Erie, PA!!

Great campground on West Canada Creek. Lots of stuff to do, dog friendly. Sitting in the creek with lawn chairs, watching the tubers, ducks, geese go by was lots of fun
