Everything was very clean and well thought out. We loved staying near the Creek. The towels were extremely cheap and left lint on me after my shower. Everything else was fantastic!

I’ve stayed in site 65 for the past four years, same weekend each year, usually book six to eight months in advance. Our group books a total of 11 other sites, including 3 cabins. This is the first year of the “lock it in”. Several of our friends were moved from one site to another, including me that lost my site. This new policy is nothing more than a money grab, to add an additional cost.

Thank you for a wonderful stay. We stayed in ML cabin and our troop and pack camped in the tent sites. Everyone had a very enjoyable time and is still talking about the mine. The scouts enjoyed the gift shop, the playground and the Gaga pit as well. My most memorable experience was meeting Hazel and her human Mom. Please be sure to thank them for their hospitality.

Our cabin upon arrival was full of dog hair, clumps of it. All over the bottom bunk, all over the full size beds sheets and clumps all over the floor. The cabin had not been swept. Had to clean before I could let the kids in so my daughter wouldn't have an asthma attack. Other than this our stay was great.

We had an amazing time, even despite the rainy weather. The glamping pods were small, but comfy and the shower was very hot. The 2 bundles of wood could easily have been 1, but we used all of it on Day 1 since it rained Day 2. The 'free' hammers are worthless and the office did not not have a wedge to rent to us. Fortunately, we rented a larger hammer and a guest gifted us a small wedge.

Our stay at the Herkimer Diamond KOA was peaceful and relaxing. The staff were incredibly friendly, and our cabin was clean, cozy, and quiet with beautiful scenery all around. It felt like a true nature retreat while still being just 15 minutes from town amenities. The perfect place to unplug, recharge, and enjoy the outdoors. We can’t wait to come back!

Not happy with all the higher prices for everything from cabin prices, mine entrance fee, sleuth bag fee, etc. The restaurant used to be part of our favorite experience when they had a great chef. Very disappointed. I do like the craft sessions they offer. Been coming for over 10 years and no diamonds around like it used to be.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at this campground and the mine across the street. The grounds are beautifully maintained, cabin cozy, and the staff were all so friendly and welcoming. I wish every camp experience was like the weekend we were able to have in Herkimer last weekend!

This was our 2nd year staying in our favorite cabin. It was an adventure because it rained our 1st 2 days. We mined in the rain and found more crystals than last year. My husband had one diamond set in a ring for my Mother's Day gift. The cabin is so wonderful. It had everything. We just needed our clothes! Everything includes shampoo, conditioner and liquid soap in the shower, the list goes on!

This was just a touch and go for us as we were traveling through. We really appreciated the nice level site and ease of getting in and out. It was a pleasant stay and we would stay again if we are ever in the area.

We stayed for opening weekend from May 1–3 and had such a great experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. You can tell they really care about making sure everyone enjoys their stay. We stayed for the first time. We absolutely loved it!! We loved our cabin and being right on the river. The kids loved the mining. We will definitely be back next year for a longer stay!!!

We were 5 people in a cabin that sleeps 5. There is only 3 beds so in order for all to sleep we had to squeeze in an inflatable bed. Our shower water kept getting cold quickly if it came through at all and this was a problem on cold evenings to shower at the bathhouse and walk back to our cabin with children

Clean, beautiful campground. Stayed in site 85 on the river. Staff was friendly and helpful. We will be back!! Only complaint is only one handicap shower with only one grab bar, and no hand held shower head.

Great place. Neat clean, friendly staff and beautiful scenery. Been there several times. I would definitely would recommend this place 10 times over. Mining right across the street. Herkimer is a lovely place to go to.

My family and some friends rented the Diamond Lodge for two nights. Everyone LOVED it! The perfect spot for cooking group meals and hanging on the porch with a gorgeous river view. It was very clean, private, and spacious enough for the kids and parents to relax. Fully equipped with everything you need. Spiral staircase might be tricky for younger kids and older folks. We can't wait to return!

My wife and I got the deluxe cabin. It was very comfortable, warm. I loved that we had a little kitchen area to cook, especially with the provided kerosene grill outside and fire pit. It was super cozy and I already can't wait to return even if only just for the camp. My only issue, was that the wifi was a awful. The mine was interesting and exhausting all together.

Fantastic! We can’t recommend this location enough! It was our first visit to the area but we will definitely return based on this experience. No complaints with the cabin we stayed in and linens were brand new, which we appreciated! Staff at both the campground store and Miners Village were friendly and welcoming.

last year: 5 stars in a deluxe cabin. That cabin was brand new, great set up. This year, we got a deluxe cabin that was older, worn, the kitchen was missing some of the basics (ex. spatula for the grill). Still tons of stuff for my kid to do and we had fun, so I would do 4 stars, but our cabin had tons of wasps. husband got stung, we complained, they sprayed and told us it happens every year.

There were ants all through our cabin and even in the bedding. The maintenance guy was very nice and brought us bug spray but it did not stop the ants from coming in and only resulted in dead ants all of the floor, bed, and counter.

Accommodations were very good. Facility was well set up. Only concern was seeing people climbing on cliffs and hammering rock above children. Did see a partial collapse of cliff face which, fortunately, did not hit anyone. Need to enforce rules and not just say them.

We had a wonderful stay at cabin 352 this year, its our second year here and having more time to enjoy the area and camp was perfect for us. Even during a difficult time with the water pump having issues the staff were extremely accommodating and willing to work with us to make our stay be special still. Thank you so much for another beautiful year and we will see you next year.

Overall we had a nice time. The grounds were nice and the dig was great. Our cabin wasn't what we had expected, tried to fix with management, but was met with alot of attitude and no resolution. Refused any recompense for the issue. That was incredibly frustrating and put a big damper on our stay. There were 2 staff that stood out as exemplary , Nancy from the gift shop, and jewelry maker guy

Me and my friend took her 9 yr old grandson here this past weekend. We stayed in a cozy cabin K16. Fresh linens provided, very clean, rustic, cute. This particular one did not have a bathroom but it was very close. Pretty, well maintained site with playground. Staff is FABULOUS and Phil gave our car a jump start as we were trying to leave with a dead battery. Outside of bathroom big sinks with Dawn soap/hot water to wash dishes. All the cabins and sites are beautiful and we had the mohawk to wade in a stone's throw! The shops are beautiful and he had fun in the mines. Not 1 piece of garbage, anywhere. I highly recommend this beautiful place, especially with a family. U can be in the thick of things or more secluded! JUST GO and see this 'GEM' of Upstate, NY!

Overall this is a great campground with excellently maintained common spaces, clean showers and bathrooms, a super fun activities schedule and friendly staff. Also its located directly across the street from the KOA Herkimer Diamond Mine, so we walked there which was convenient. We rented a glamping site for 4 which is suitable for a night or two. The only issue was the actual room was dirty ( had dust and animal hair everywhere ) the coffee maker didnt work and the towels provided were super small. I'm still giving 5 stars and still 100% recommend staying here. The beds were comfortable and the sheets decent. Many of sites, including the one we rented, are facing the river. Ours had a sweet little pourch and a swinging chair for two. All that makes up for the dirty room. Cause clearly this place is awesome and I feel lucky that I got to stay here.
