We enjoyed our time at the campground and diamond mine. The grandkids loved the activities and grounds. Will be back again.

Loved our stay. Staff is super friendly and helpful, Janet was awesome! Our cab in was clean and well stocked. The store had everything we needed. The grounds are clean and well cared for. Please improve the wi-fi situation. We were trying to get work done remotely and it was nearly impossible. Thank you! Laura & Craig Pian

The site we were at was littered with dozens of rusty nails and an old tire. When I mentioned this to the front desk, they said they would have someone out to clean it up, but they didn't seem interested in doing anything to make up for the site condition.

The site is clean, well maintained, and beautifully designed with lots of amenities and options for all types of visitors. Highly recommended!

It was even better than I had imagined. Everything was clean, everything was so well organized, the site was beautiful and we will most definitely be returning!

Nancy was super friendly, super nice and super helpful when we got there and threw out our one night stay. Our cabin was lovely and well stocked. The futon was a little difficult to sleep on, but we loved having a fire out on the patio and the swing on the porch. The campgrounds were clean and beautiful. It was nice to see such a beautiful family place for kids could run around, swim n be safe !

Beautiful site with lots of greenery. I would like to see more signage and information from KOA about your sustainability practices, do you refrain from using pecticide and ferilizer? Do you use native plants for garden beds? Low flow toilets? River safe soaps and cleaners? Can you provide composting? Sustainability lesson? Thanks!

From the moment that I arrived everyone was absolutely wonderful. I enjoyed a nice big tent site with electric right along the beautiful sound of the flowing river. The campsite was in immaculate condition. I will most definitely be back. also, the digging for the World Famous Herkimer Diamonds was exhilarating.

This was definitely the best KOA we've ever stayed at. It was clean, had linens, your own table and chairs, gas grill, etc. Plus the staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. We made friends while camping with our cabin neighbors. We will be back in the future for sure!

I found this KOA to be one of my favorites out of many I visited up and down the East Coast. The fact that they have linens for cabins is a huge plus, especially for motorcycle riders. The staff was so friendly and accommodating and is one of the main reasons I will return soon.

Ck in was fine, the inside cabin looked like it was put together from items from a dumpster. The chairs are so badly stained. I would not even let my grandson sit in them. I was told I would not have to bring a thing this was a “deluxe”cabin#3, over $1000., 4 our stay, I believe them. There are more utensils in a camp kit. I had to ask for cof filtrs &mugs. I rc’d wet flat ones & cups.Nvr. a

What an amazing experience! The campground is beautiful, clean, and welcoming. The entire staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable throughout our stay. Phil and Janett went above and beyond to make us feel right at home. We also loved visiting the mines, where the staff took the time to help us find the perfect piece of jewelry. The customer service here is truly exceptional.

We had a lovely site by the creek and enjoyed the view immensely. Our walks with our dog were great on the well kept paths. Everything was neat and clean. Staff were friendly. Campers observed quiet hours. Would like to return and go tubing when it's hotter.

We loved this KOA!! It was beyond beautiful with the rushing West Canada Creek just feet from our back door. The birds, ground squirrels, hamburgers, gift store and of course the excitement of Herkimer hunting. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer.

This is a beautiful campground. We have stayed here twice in a creek side site. Very peaceful. Grounds are beautiful. Staff is friendly. We love the scoops ice cream trailer. We traveled across the country and this was our favorite place!

Our kids love camping at Herkimer so much, that even when our camper was out of commission, we pivoted and rented a rustic cabin. The Diamond Mine and Geode Reveal were huge hits again this year. And we just love building core memories with our kids running around a camp ground with their friends and flashlights. The whole property is maintained to a high standard.

Everyone was extremely nice. Got there after hours and they opened the store again to make sure I had everything I needed for the stay. The cabin was clean and beautiful. The entire resort was clean. The food was amazing. The prices in the main store and mine gift shop was reasonable. First time mining was amazing staff gave helpful pointers and renting equipment was easy.

We stayed on the mountainside campsite. They were for spacious and very quite setting. Have a very nice fishing pond . Will definitely be back again for another camping trip here. All the staff was very friendly and helpful with things on the area to do. Thanks again

The glamping pod was absolutely perfect in every way, I used it as a base camp to go to several different mines, absolutely love staying here and we’ll be back again!

We love our sites but after 22 years, we did not make reservations for next year. The price per night, fees and activity costs are not family friendly anymore. The campground has gone from welcoming family feel to commercial give me your money feel. We know change is essential but usually it goes the positive direction, the lack of campers should show you that did not happen. Go back to pre-covid!

Great trip. The staff is amazing! The site was clean. Keep doing what you are doing and we will be back. We were also successful with mine and came back with a handful of really nice pieces.

We were there for only one night, this time, but we will definitely stay longer when we are in this area again. It is a beautiful setting and everything is well maintained. There is a great 'trees' house, a main central outdoor gathering place with comfy seating, manicured lawn, colorful flowers. All to be enjoyed. We are full time in our RV. What a privilege this stay was.

This was my first stay at a KOA CAMPGROUND! They are pros. I feel spoiled for other camping sites now. The attention to detail, the OUTSTANDING customer service, the friendly staff and the beautiful campground itself all made this a trip to remember! I will be coming back! Great campground. Please tell people to get off exit 30 instead of exit 29A from I90. Much better route.

Me and my friend took her 9 yr old grandson here this past weekend. We stayed in a cozy cabin K16. Fresh linens provided, very clean, rustic, cute. This particular one did not have a bathroom but it was very close. Pretty, well maintained site with playground. Staff is FABULOUS and Phil gave our car a jump start as we were trying to leave with a dead battery. Outside of bathroom big sinks with Dawn soap/hot water to wash dishes. All the cabins and sites are beautiful and we had the mohawk to wade in a stone's throw! The shops are beautiful and he had fun in the mines. Not 1 piece of garbage, anywhere. I highly recommend this beautiful place, especially with a family. U can be in the thick of things or more secluded! JUST GO and see this 'GEM' of Upstate, NY!

Overall this is a great campground with excellently maintained common spaces, clean showers and bathrooms, a super fun activities schedule and friendly staff. Also its located directly across the street from the KOA Herkimer Diamond Mine, so we walked there which was convenient. We rented a glamping site for 4 which is suitable for a night or two. The only issue was the actual room was dirty ( had dust and animal hair everywhere ) the coffee maker didnt work and the towels provided were super small. I'm still giving 5 stars and still 100% recommend staying here. The beds were comfortable and the sheets decent. Many of sites, including the one we rented, are facing the river. Ours had a sweet little pourch and a swinging chair for two. All that makes up for the dirty room. Cause clearly this place is awesome and I feel lucky that I got to stay here.
