One of the nicer KOA's ever stayed. Landscaping and grounds are immaculate. The park is clean and well kept. Showers were clean but a bit tight for getting undressed and dressed. It's certainly in the middle of natural beauty.

The campgrounds are beautifully maintained, the staff is super friendly! The lodge we stayed in was clean, most of our needs were met, such as, bathroom towels, linens for every bed! Dishes, flatware, pots. The skillet should be replaced, it was very old and sticks! The lodge could use more hooks in bedrooms and bathrooms. Otherwise we had a fun time with our family despite the rain!

I walked through this site on a different trip about 15 years ago and promised myself I would return with an RV one day. Yesterday was the day! I was able to enjoy a stay while making my way out to the east coast and it was just as beautiful as I remembered. This site is very well manicured. And the setting of campsites along a gorgeous Creek is just sensational. Staff was kind and helpful.

We have been going here for years and now reluctant to come back as the price to get in the mines and slice bags are too much. The restaurant menu change and fish dinner was the worse I’ve had. Must be change in chef and no longer appealing. So sad as it used to be the best. You’ve added but also took away the affordable prices for families.

We paid to be in AAL (Astronomy) where there was no telescope (we were told it was broken the week before). Also, a square box that used to have something in it was missing a wall of glass w/remnants of the glass still in place. My niece cut her finger on it. Additionally, the staff that facilitated the events were not welcoming or engaging. We left after waiting half hour at the “karaoke” e

This is our second time here and we just love it. We stayed in a glamping pod in the mountainside camping area and it was so great. Just enough for 2 people and the miners table dinners were delicious as always. The staff and the owners are so warm and welcoming. We cant wait for next season! Its our yearly anniversary trip!

We stayed in the treehouse. It was supplied with everything we needed. I loved how it came with a Roku for the television. The decor was so cool. I would definitely recommend to anyone who likes an adventure.

Stayed in one of the small cabins with no bathroom. Cabin and nearby bathrooms were clean, cabin was cozy. The creek is always enjoyable. Had an enjoyable time, look forward to booking next year as well. A little pricey but always look forward to our stays with herkimer Koa. This is year number 5 that we’ve stayed here and the stay is always a nice get away. Hoping prices get lowered a little

First time here. We were impressed with the beautiful upkeep of the expansive lawn spaces & thoughtful landscaping! Enjoyed a spacious ‘pull through’ RV site under the trees. We will return!

Always enjoy staying at Herkimer KOA! The staff are very friendly and helpful! They go above and beyond! I recommend Herkimer KOA to anyone who mentions they're planning on going camping!

We stayed on the free day weekend and are thankful. We were directed across the road to the mountain view sites. There are about 80 very nice FHU sites. There are 3 single bathrooms in 3 huts, no showers. It is a 20 minute walk down 140 steps to get to the actual park and amenities. This is misrepresentation and should be explained when booking. $130 a night for a site with no amenities?

Laundromat was old, 6 dryers only 4 worked & 1 of 4 had a broken door handle. Speeding throughout campground even tho signs posted. Garden was beautiful, campground clean. Unlevel sites.

The staff was always kind and caring! Our cabin was clean and comfortable. The stream was a lot of fun but the Best part was the Diamond Mine! We had a great time at both the camp and the mine! We learned a lot about Town of Herkimer too. Can't wait till next year to go back! If your looking to do something cool with your family and friends, Go check this place out and Find some Diamonds!!!!!!!

We went midweek and had a great time. Only thing we would have changed is needing to ask for the pool to be opened as it was quite warm and locked. Camp staff didn’t mind opening it for us, so that was fine but the maintenance guy would hover letting us know it’d be locked by 5. We were in at 3 pm. Facilities, grounds, showers were all clean and maintained.

We did not feel the cost of the stay was worth the price charged: additional charge for person #3+; no showers on the new side (only across the street); no paved road up the steep grade hill; only $2.00 discount at mine and then charged extra fee for Fri/Sat/Sun; no dog run in new area. I have stayed at other KOAs for less, with more amenities. Best of luck.

The campground is well maintained and it’s nice being able to use the West Canada Creek. The sites near the garden are very tight. There is a serious lack of bathrooms for campers. There usually was a line. There is a single camper dump station and the black tank flush is a joke as the spigot is hooked up in line with the spray nozzle and no way to isolate the flow.

We had a great time, but the tv didn’t work. KOA sent Tom to help us. He was great, and fixed our tv and was very knowledgeable about the campground.

Positives:The lawn was mowed! There were more activities planned for the whole family. Check in was easy, the staff was friendly and helpful. Negatives:The price per night is outrageous- we used to visit at a minimum of 4 times per year but have cut down to the 2 big holiday weekends only. Our sewer kept backing up and we had a difficult time emptying our tank 2xs(full hook up site). The Garden:

Overall, the campground is beautiful! The courtyard with fireplaces and entertainment was a pleasant surprise. Staff was very kind and helpful. We stayed in solar three it was the perfect cabin and dog friendly. The only downside was the shower would not stay warm or would go from ice cold to scalding hot no matter what we did over the three days the cabin was clean but could’ve used a dusting.

You have a nice place but I have a couple complaints the sites on the water are too narrow . When I put my slide outs out I felt bad for my neighbors on the other side as it really blocked them in. All they really had for room was the cement slab. And we could not get our trailer level with our leveling system. We worked on it for over 5 plus hrs. Moving the camper 2 times.

We brought our granddaughters 11 & 8. They seemed bored and disappointed they didn’t find diamonds. The area seemed to be mined out. However they said they still enjoyed the weekend with all your activities. You have a beautiful facility and it is well maintained. Check in was quick and easy.

It was ok, - campground very well maintained. - staff was ok, not very pleasant but not rude. They could have done a better job explaining things. DISLIKES - getting charged a resort fee really no reason for it. - no free entry to diamond mine or reduced rate. - everything was over priced and or money grab.

We stayed at the trailer on the mountainside and it was beautiful. The only thing it was far away from the activities especially to let my granddaughter to go down to . We needed a car always.

It is unfortunate how downhill it went so fast. Now 6 stays..we won’t be back. The first stay we were hooked&loved it! The newly renovated park was impressive too! It made the drive off the highway worth it! The structure is still there. The amenities/activitesthat require staffing..not happening. No restaurant 2x now! Food trucks closed early on Labor Day wknd! Obvious $ grab. Frustratin

Cabins come with luxury items including mini heater, dorm room fridge with freezer, Roku TV. Nice outside barbecue and fire pit for each site. There are tent locations plus RV hookup spots. Right across the street from the Herkimer diamond mine. So those that visit the mine can also walk from the campsite straight to the mind. Decent amount of tent sites and cabins directly adjacent to the park as well as restroom area. And find out away from the main road not to hear the hustle and bustle of the mine.

What an amazing team lead by Rebecca! Cannot say enough about the service we received from everyone! We attended for a scout weekend and brought 46 scouts, leaders, and family. We were in several tent sites, 10 cabins, and 4 RV sites. They were very responsive to our wood needs (28° degree night). Had events Saturday. Grounds were well maintained, restrooms and showers were clean, and parking was close! We will return. Thank you to all.

My family and I absolutely loved our stay at the Herkimer Diamond KOA (Kampgrounds of America) Resort. We only stayed one night mid October 2024 towards the end of the season, and it was so much fun we didn't want to leave! Located in the heart of the Mowhawk Valley, HDKOA Resort is a great place to stay when you're visiting the Herkimer Diamond Mines, which is conveniently located directly across the street from the resort. The price per night will vary based on how many nights, time of year and season. There is an outdoor pool and public restrooms with two showers and the staff work hard to maintain it's cleanliness. You will need to book a reservation online or on the KOA app and the prices will vary depending on where you stay and what amenities you choose to pay for. We stayed in a pod and it had 4 full size beds, 3 electrical outlets, air conditioner and a heater, a mini fridge and not much space. There are cabins you can book with their own bathrooms, shower and kitchen but they are pricey. You can pitch a tent on one of their tent sites or hook up an rv on one of their many RV sites. There's even a tree house like cabin you can rent but again, very pricey. The gift shop here is pretty large and sells all of your camping needs including bug spray, fire wood, lanterns and even blankets. The staff here are very friendly and knowledgeable and are very helpful. They hold seasonal events for campers during the day and night and the kids and the Adults always have a great time and have many cherished memories that will make any childhood so much better. You will love your stay at KOA ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
