This was our 1st experience with KOA. I know not all properties have the same amenities, but we were blown away with Herkimer. Our cabin was clean, comfortable, with a HUGE deck. We were steps away from the playground and creek, and my kids (ages 12 and 14) had an amazing time. They tubed in the creek, rode pedal bikes, and had a campfire. The onsite food vendors were fantastic. We'll be back!!!

This was our 3rd time camping at Herkimer KOA. We always have a great time. The bathrooms are so clean and we appreciate that being tent campers. Shout out to the staff! Check in and check out was easy and friendly.

The room was ok but I was woken up Multiple times through the mourning from a woodpecker on the pod I was in. As well with the window curtain breaking off a few times and falling while we slept.

This campground is a true GEM (yep, I said it!). On top of the awesome family friendly mining experience, there are many other amenities & activities for families. Also a great variety of lodging options to choose from. Lovely to be able cook at camp site but also use the food truck for a night "off". Everything was clean and well kept, and the staff was super helpful! Thank you!!

The campground was beautiful and well-kept. We were given a free site upgrade, which was very nice and very much appreciated! My only complaint would be the cost to do extras. For the price of the sites, more things should be included or be cheaper. Thank you!!

First time staying at a KOA and we were impressed with the helpful staff. The whole campground was beautifully landscaped and all facilities were clean. Will definitely return to other KOA sites and recommend to friends and family.

We only stayed one night but it was a nice extension of our vacation as we were headed back home to Michigan. We explored the grounds by walking along the river, across the street to see the Diamond store etc, and ordered dinner from the food car and then treated ourselves to some ice cream from the ice cream car. Everyone was so pleasant and seemed to really enjoy being a part of HD KOA.

We had a nice stay here, loved the garden area with comfy furniture, gas fire pits and food/drink options, people were nice, we weren't prepared to do mining so will try another time. Do wish there were a few more activities there like mini golf or basketball court, just more active things for kids. We also didn't love that we could not park next to our cabin but overall we enjoyed &would go back.

We stayed in the hilltop lodge(s) which were new, spacious, clean, and bright. Plus they were stocked with everything you need. We enjoyed our stay immensely and took in all the activities - from mining and fishing to firepits and frivolity. Thanks for making our stay an all-in-one-spot adventure! The staff go out of their way to make everything perfect!

The people who run the KOA are so nice and helpful. The grounds are extremely kept. Facilities are kept very clean. My dog loved the dog park. He had a blast in the river too. I will definitely be back

This place is fabulous!! We stayed in the Deluxe Lodge and it is so beautiful! The beds were so comfortable and the views go on for days!! The staff were so friendly and made sure our stay was the best!

I was so impressed by the campgrounds and the staff. Everyone was so helpful and let us check in early because the cabin was ready. The grounds were so well-maintained, and the tree house had everything we needed to be comfortable. It was a memorable visit for my kids' first camping/glamping trip. We will definitely be back next year!

We had an excellent stay. From the contact before arrival to check-out, the staff was fantastic. We stayed in a deluxe cabin which had plenty of space for what we needed. Cabin was cozy and rustic. The only thing it could use is more light as it tends to be on the darker side inside due to the shade from the surrounding trees. We would recommend this site to others and will definitely be back!!!

The cabin was comfortable, and the food offered at the airstream was great. The staff at check-in were very nice. The property was great and being located along the creek was awesome. Spent a lot of time just sitting by it.

We had a very awkward camp site for a back in RV camper trailer. No sewer hookup and there were plenty of sites with sewer hookups available. This site #35 is located right next to a cabin and was very difficult to back into. Not to mention it isn't level. The overall campground is lovely and lots of amenities and I would stay there agin but would not accept the site we were assigned ever again

Pod was too small even for just an overnight stay. Everything else was good. Could not find checkout info. Left the key in the pod and locked the door. Got a call from Koa asking if we had the key.

I have always mined next door at The Ace of Diamonds mine. I like and always found lots of lose stones through the panning. Really wish you guys offered that not just through the pay dirt. And flipping the material with fresh tailings would be nice. The grounds were nice and the cabin was perfect.

They frightened my wife into paying $30 to save a site in an area that was almost empty. She complained, they said KOA wouldn't allow any refunds. what a crappy way to run a company! Not only will we not go back, we will not use any KOA in the future! I had a similar problem two years ago in Wilmington. I will tell all of my camping friends and my wife will expose you for what you are on social

As first time visitors it was nice to find everything you needed was supplied so if we come again we can pack less. We were a little disappointed to find out at the 4:00 PM check-in that the diamond mine and miner village closed at 5:oo pm. Wish that that information was told to us in some way, shape or form. So to us the first day was a waste of time and money. If we come again we will come early

Me and my friend took her 9 yr old grandson here this past weekend. We stayed in a cozy cabin K16. Fresh linens provided, very clean, rustic, cute. This particular one did not have a bathroom but it was very close. Pretty, well maintained site with playground. Staff is FABULOUS and Phil gave our car a jump start as we were trying to leave with a dead battery. Outside of bathroom big sinks with Dawn soap/hot water to wash dishes. All the cabins and sites are beautiful and we had the mohawk to wade in a stone's throw! The shops are beautiful and he had fun in the mines. Not 1 piece of garbage, anywhere. I highly recommend this beautiful place, especially with a family. U can be in the thick of things or more secluded! JUST GO and see this 'GEM' of Upstate, NY!

Overall this is a great campground with excellently maintained common spaces, clean showers and bathrooms, a super fun activities schedule and friendly staff. Also its located directly across the street from the KOA Herkimer Diamond Mine, so we walked there which was convenient. We rented a glamping site for 4 which is suitable for a night or two. The only issue was the actual room was dirty ( had dust and animal hair everywhere ) the coffee maker didnt work and the towels provided were super small. I'm still giving 5 stars and still 100% recommend staying here. The beds were comfortable and the sheets decent. Many of sites, including the one we rented, are facing the river. Ours had a sweet little pourch and a swinging chair for two. All that makes up for the dirty room. Cause clearly this place is awesome and I feel lucky that I got to stay here.
