Our tent site was fine, just disappointed in the way events are held (under the tent vs. in the pavilion), and no pancake breakfast or ice cream social. Especially on the 4th of July weekend!

We stayed one night on our drive back home from Maine to New York. It was clean, cozy and quiet. We will definitely be going back when the weather is less hot so we can enjoy the mining experience!

My most favorite koa so far. The grounds are beautiful. The kids had a blast in the river and the pool. All the staff are so kind. A lot of activities for the kids to enjoy. All the facilities were spotless.

Tent camped for three nights, four days. Campsite was clean. Views and access West Canada Creek were amazing. Staff was friendly and attentive. Onsite events for families and children were fun. Only recommendation is to put showers/bathrooms closer to tent sites and plant more grass on tent sites for better padding under the tents. Overall great stay!

Very nice campground, clean, good utilities. This campground is a good place for families lots for the kids to do our complaints were the $20 resorts fee everyone had to pay on top of the daily cost of the campground which were expensive, for older couples it didn’t make sense. Plus on like other KOA’s there was no garbage pickup and no cable even though they had cable connections at every sit

The campground was very well maintained. Very good laundry facilities. Good wifi. Bonus, in our 3 days at the Herkimer KOA I identified 34 species of birds on the property!

Nice grounds. Didn't get to do many activities due to the weather, but still got a full day of mining in. Looking forward to coming back in the future.

Great clean quiet park that has level sites. Found herkimer diamonds at the minning area right along the paths right in the open. Looking forward to staying again, only longer next time.

We stayed in a Kozy Kabin and it was just that! Though small, it was comfortable and having AC was a wonderful break from hot days.

Picturesque, lawn neatly trimmed, accommodating staff. There were activities for children. Son went across the street and rock hounding for quartz. We were camping and cooked our own food. Neighbors seemed to have a good time.

I love that everything is provided for like the linens and individual grills at the cottages. You did not have this years ago. The only problem I have is that the kid's activities are mostly with a fee and the bathrooms were not cleaned consistently.

we stayed in tree house and it was dark inside did not care for that. i forgot to tell the front desk that they need to spray for ants at the tree house as we saw a few small ants walking around on the countertop in kitchen area. Steps had a hole in one of them that needs to be fixed. the main bed needs a new mattress, the mine, should offer different rates for different times of the day

great stay, beautiful sites along the river. The only place for improvement is in the showers. They was no place to put your showering essentials like shampoo and soap. also there were only small hooks to hang your clothes and towels, making getting dressed after your shower difficult. this was at the showers located ant the main building, my wife had the same complaint. otherwise it was a great

The astronomy Lodge was a delight. True, some finer points need attention such as rotting railing, replacing microwave, extra trash bags, observation dome door fixed...but it was comfortable, working, and decorated perfectly. Well placed in the campground. Staff this year were excellent, all were polite, helpful and friendly.

The Campground is very well maintained. The staff are professional and extremely helpful and accommodating . The setting along the West Canada Creek is Beautiful. The proximity to the Herkimer Diamond Mine is convenient . Our accommodations in a small cabin was clean and comfortable. We are looking forward to a return visit. Thank you for a good getaway .

For koa's having 3 levels of stays journey, holiday and resort,doesn't live up to be considered a resort. Tent site very beautiful the grounds beautifully kept. bathrooms not very family friendly as in being able to clean children at the same time. pool was nice just cold. Playground is beat up some things broken. Mining discount was not great. Staff doing kids acti. talked poorly of their jobs

Herkimer KOA is meticulously clean. The grounds are gorgeous and employees are super friendly. We rented a deluxe cabin for 3 nights. Love that the cabins are on the river. We brought tubes from Walmart and my kids had a blast! Our cabin didn’t have hot water so we bathed in the bath house (slight inconvenience). Also the AC would make loud screaming sounds at 2am-ish and wake us up and shut of

Great location. Friendly staff. We all had a great time. Only suggestion would be a small plastic stool/table in the shower stalls. Hooks are fine for clothing but who really wants to out the rest of their stuff on an icky wet floor?? I would also say maybe a better suggested items list for Visiting the mining side.

Excellent place to stay and we will return again someday. Would have given a 5 but the bathroom near the basic cabins had a strong smell of sewage coming from the drains in the women’s bathroom. Hopefully they are able to get that fixed. Everything else was great. Ice cream truck and outdoor fire pits were very upscale for camping.

Me and my friend took her 9 yr old grandson here this past weekend. We stayed in a cozy cabin K16. Fresh linens provided, very clean, rustic, cute. This particular one did not have a bathroom but it was very close. Pretty, well maintained site with playground. Staff is FABULOUS and Phil gave our car a jump start as we were trying to leave with a dead battery. Outside of bathroom big sinks with Dawn soap/hot water to wash dishes. All the cabins and sites are beautiful and we had the mohawk to wade in a stone's throw! The shops are beautiful and he had fun in the mines. Not 1 piece of garbage, anywhere. I highly recommend this beautiful place, especially with a family. U can be in the thick of things or more secluded! JUST GO and see this 'GEM' of Upstate, NY!

Overall this is a great campground with excellently maintained common spaces, clean showers and bathrooms, a super fun activities schedule and friendly staff. Also its located directly across the street from the KOA Herkimer Diamond Mine, so we walked there which was convenient. We rented a glamping site for 4 which is suitable for a night or two. The only issue was the actual room was dirty ( had dust and animal hair everywhere ) the coffee maker didnt work and the towels provided were super small. I'm still giving 5 stars and still 100% recommend staying here. The beds were comfortable and the sheets decent. Many of sites, including the one we rented, are facing the river. Ours had a sweet little pourch and a swinging chair for two. All that makes up for the dirty room. Cause clearly this place is awesome and I feel lucky that I got to stay here.
