Enjoyed the very quiet & relaxing stay. Easy smooth access to site. The staff are all very nice and welcoming. Extremely clean pool, bath house, grounds, and store. Loved the swing in front, was able to have coffee and also lunch watching wildlife under the shade trees. The pizza was delicious!!!! Tent loop was shady (and buggy) and very quiet, there was like a million fireflies!!

Remote and quiet location about 30 miles from Shenandoah NP. Stayed in a tent site with water. Very small tent area and difficult to find level ground for 4-person tent. Clean bathrooms but shower was only ok.

Beautifully kept grounds. The staff where all so friendly and took great care of our whole family. My kids had such an amazing time at the 24hr rec area! We will definitely be back.

This was our first camping trip in the USA. We spent the night in a tent at a site with water and electricity hookups. It was a quiet, peaceful spot with friendly and helpful staff. The bathrooms were clean, the shop was well-stocked, and there were great activities for the kids. AND - No mosquitoes at all – wow! Our children really enjoyed the campsite, and we will definitely be back :)

Friendly staff. Clean and nice facilities. Fun. Did the hiking trail and tether ball. Quiet for sleeping. Peaceful. Yummy pizza.

We stayed 2 nights and went out into the mountains during the day. It was a great stay and the pizza was awesome. The staff were very friendly and we plan to do a family vacation here again! Highly recommend

Love the campground. We always stay at the back in full hookup sites. Lots of space between sites and peaceful since they backup to the woods. We love the nature trail as well. As always the staff were very helpful and friendly. We will be back!

It was a wonderful stay. We was in a tent for 8 nights. Weather was awesome. The staff was amazingly. The campground and all the facilities were exceptionally clean. Will be back again to visit.

Never again. This KOA clearly caters to RVs & treats tent campers like an afterthought. Our anniversary trip started with a campsite buried in dead leaves we had to clear ourselves. Then the showers had no hot water, and staff’s solution was to “jiggle the knob.” Ridiculous. We chose KOA for clean, working facilities—this place failed badly.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are sorry you feel this way. Did you ask for the actual Campground Manager? You could have moved to another site or our staff could have cleaned those leaves off of your site. The same with the issue with the water in the bathhouse. The Campground Manager was not made aware of this.

We stayed in Elec/Water tent site and overall, our stay was good and staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend larger tent sites as our site (B06) was barely large enough for our tent putting it a little too close to the fire pit. I would recommend increasing tent site to accommodate family tents maintaining an adequate safe distance from the fire pit. Other than that, all good.

We came for our very first family camping trip and this campground was absolutely perfect for it! The pool and their playground wore the kiddos out! Even got to get some antiquing in close by. They also have some of the cleanest facilities I think I’ve ever seen anywhere!

Wonderful and clean campground. If you are looking for a camping experience in a natural setting with conveniences of clean bathroom and a stocked camp store look no farther. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

What a great place to stay at! My first ever KOA that I can remember and the staff at Harrisonburg/Shenandoah knocked it out of the park. I would come back again 100 percent! The grounds are well kept the area is very nice! They keep you up to date on everything! Can’t say enough about this place! Definitely staying at more KOA’s now because of this experience!

Everyone was very nice and things were available for convenience. Gift shop prices were VERY decent. I was pleasantly surprised. It’s a bit further from Shenandoah than we initially realized, but we’d still stay there again and explore the area!

We had the most perfect stay! Every campground host was sincerely helpful and happy! We enjoyed everyone we had the pleasure of acquainting during our stay. Bathrooms were especially clean. I’m especially grateful for the help we received (maybe from Mike?) at the tail end of our trip when we needed jumper cables to start our car again. Thank you again for all of your help! We had the best stay!

We had an awesome time. My girlfriend and I visited KOA in Harrisonburg/Shenendoah Valley for the first time last weekend, the staff was so friendly and welcoming. The bathrooms were extremely clean and only a quick 1-2 minute walk. They had showers as well, we didnt end up using them but it was good to know that they were available. They also provided free coffee in the morning. Highly recommend!

The campground was clean and quiet. It looks like a great place to stay if you are in a Camper or RV, but the tent site we stayed in was very small and rocky, we ended up setting up an the side of the road because there were so many rocks. We did ask and were told that people who camp there often generally pick one of the better sites, but it had not been cleared as well as the other vacant sites.

I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay. You should always ask for the Manager whenever you are not happy with a site. Even if you arrive after closing please call the emergency number and I will be happy to find you a better site. Whenever you book online the system randomly places you.

Third time visitors and it keeps getting better and better. Staff is absolutely amazing, plots and amenities are clean and well maintained and the area is stunning in every season.

The camp site is in a beautiful location. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The camp site was clean and free of debris despite the windy conditions. The facilities were clean and welcomingly warm for the extreme cold that came in our last day. Hurray for hot showers! We love this location and hope to come back in the spring/summer.

We tent camped and loved it. The campground was very clean and well kept. We liked all the Fall/Halloween decorations. The bathrooms were very nice and the showers were plenty hot. The hike up the mountain was very nice too.

We had an amazing Halloween weekend stay. Everyone was so friendly and the campground was clean and easy to navigate. It was my son's first time tent camping and he had a blast. I really loved that there was a hiking trail directly from the campsite. We will be back next year for the haunted hayride again!

Campground was great. Staff was great. Sensible Weather coverage is a SCAM DO NOT PURCHASE and the campground should no longer offer this when reserving. It literally rained ALL DAY on Saturday and we were expecting our money back since we left. It said if it rained between 8am and 8 pm for more than 1.5 hours, but apparently the fine print says it has to be more than 1.5 mm per hour. SCAM

This KOA was BY FAR the BEST KOA my family and I have been too. The individuals at the front desk had been super friendly and helpful. The team members who have been working the activities and events were SUPER fun and made sure everyone was included. The best part was the water fight hay ride. We stayed in the RV Rental (Beehive). Not only was it spacious, but it was so so clean and centrally located to all of the amenities. It was the best vacation yet, we will absolutely be back.

We had a wonderful overnight stay at Harrisonburg / Shenandoah Valley KOA Holiday. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was exceptional. The staff was professional, friendly, and genuinely made us feel welcome. They struck the perfect balance between being attentive and personal, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The amenities were excellent and well-maintained. Our kids especially loved the variety of games and activities available, which kept them entertained throughout our visit. The campground offered something for everyone, making it easy for families to relax and have fun together. We were also impressed with the gift shop, which was stocked with a great selection of unique and useful items. It was clear that a lot of thought has gone into creating a positive guest experience. Overall, this KOA exceeded our expectations for an overnight stop. We highly recommend Harrisonburg / Shenandoah Valley KOA Holiday and look forward to staying again in the future!
