We arrived after 5pm on a Friday in October, after traveling all day. We smelled pizza in the office while checking in. Yes we are still making pizza was the reply. They delivered 2 pizzas to our site as we just finished setting up. This campground is beautiful the people are amazing. We spent the weekend and continued our trip on Sunday. Yes I recommend this campground.

Where to start!!? This place was amazing from top to bottom!!!! Amenities, lodging, activities, staff, cleanliness, everything! I was shocked at how many activities and kid-friendly things there were to do ON SITE! The staff was insanely responsive and kind and helpful, which was refreshing! This place will be a yearly family vacation staple! We can’t wait to come in the summer too!

My son, my mom and I had an amazing time at the Harrisonburg KOA - the Halloween activities were so fun and everyone was incredibly kind and helpful. This was our second year coming for this Halloween weekend and we will be back!

This was a completely wonderful weekend. The Halloween decorations and activities were fantastic. Everyone on staff was just lovely and created such an inviting atmosphere. The camp makes an amazing effort to be user-friendly, from delivering wood directly to your campsite, to creating fun mystery quests, to having a dedicated sink in the laundry room. I certainly hope to be back soon!

This was my first time staying in October. Two nights was not long enough! We had so much fun! The staff were all amazing, funny, kind and helpful. They had so many amenities and little events that we didn’t even get to do everything since we left to go to skyline drive for half a day. We loved trick or treating and riding the haunted hayride and relaxing later that day. We will be back!

This was our first time staying here and what a gem of a small campground. All the staff were very friendly, from check in to check out. Very clean. Definitely will come back!

That staff was awesome and the campground was nice and clean, it was quite and in the mornings and the evenings. The bathrooms were clean and they provided a great delivery service. Alot to do for the family. During the weekends there were different crafts and activities going on. We did not have any luck at the fishing pond. A downfall is it is far from alot of stuff so pack what you need.

It was very nice staying at the KOA here. Lots of weekend activities for the kids,clean. Overall great experience. Hope to be back soon!

Very nice and quiet campground. Little scary on the road to get there off of 81 but made it. Thank you!

Thank you for your comments. Please do not review us on the road coming to our campground as this is a State Highway and we cannot control that. You should only review what a campground actually can control.

My stay was great. But something was running off and on all night. It may have been the furnace from the cottage next door but it was enough to keep me awake. Other than that everything was great

Please in the future give the campground a chance to correct issues before giving a bad review. The cottage/cabins have nothing that clicks on and off. It had to be one of the other campers and we cannot fix something we are unaware of.

Stayed at a premium patio site. They need to be upgraded for the price you pay. Furniture is old, wood missing from decking. Compared to Natural Bridge KOA concrete premium sites which are less expensive, Harrisonburg needs improvement.

WE thank you for your concern regarding our patio sites. The furniture is actually only 2 years old and we are in the process of upgrading the actual decks. Because we are at the base of the mountain we cannot put in concrete decks.

Excellent well-maintained campground with friendly, helpful staff. The cable TV and Wi-Fi were great. The sites are level and adequately spaced apart. They are easy to get into and out of. It's one of our favorite campgrounds to go to.

Friendly and helpful staff. Best instructions and guidance for backing into my site, since I was backing through 2 large trees on either side. Loved the free coffee in the morning and pizza delivery to my campsite. This campground had so many activities for kids and a mystery to solve using QR codes that had you out walking and learning at the same time!!!! Nice experience!!

Very clean campground. Only concern is the amount of dead trees. There are quite a few very close to campers and campsites and therefore a safety concern

We appreciate your concern for our trees. We have cut down over 30 this year alone and are in the process of consulting with an arborist to determine what is killing the trees. We have removed all tress that are a concern for guests.

We only stayed at this campsite for one day as we were passing through on our way south to Florida. Our only regret was that we did not extend our stay for a few more days. A beautiful location and great site. We definitely will revisit in the future.

We love this KOA! All of the staff are friendly and helpful. The grounds are adorable, and well kept. We will definitely recommend this stop to our friends and we will be back!

Was easy to make reservations and we came in at night, and was easy to find the site. Love the kamping area, and nice to walk the dogs. Love KOA!

We took our 4 year old and German shepherd to a week of tent camping. They had absolutely everything we needed and more! We will have to come back in the summer!

We were there for an overnight. The staff was great, loved getting an escorted to the nicely shaded site. The pizza was great! The site was not quite level. We stayed in the upper part of the campground, and it was a hike to the bath house. It would be nice to have one closer by. Wifi was good. We would stay again!

This campground never disappoints us. Such a great staff here. Our campsite was very spacious with great neighbors on each side. The Halloween events held were a blast! We'll be back for sure.

We had a great time with the Halloween celebration. Fun games for the kiddos and adults. We enjoyed the hayride as well. Can’t wait until next year. Everyone in the office is super friendly.

We were in Cape Hatteras and because of a storm we had to evecuate. We decided to go home earlier and I called them the night before we wanted to stay and they worked to get us in. I was appreciative

It was good. There is lots to do in the area. Several towns other than Harrisonburg are nearby. The weekend we were there had lots of kids. People walking through our site. Kids screaming, just being kids but seemed to lack supervision. Thankfully we didn’t spend a lot of our time physically in the campground. Will likely find other accommodations for our next trip.

It was a great time, the campground was well kept and the bathrooms were clean. The staff were awesome and very helpfull. There is alot activities for kids and adults during the weekends and overall alot to do at the campground we did not have much luck fishing but it was still fun. The campground was packed but it was quite early morning and at night witch was great. They have a good delivery service, pizza, firewood and propane all delivered to you site. The only downfall we had is that it was far from anything we wanted to do, but that was due to our planning. We will definitely go again

🌟 An absolute gem for a weekend getaway! We came up to see the fall colors on Skyline Drive and truly picked the perfect place to stay. From the moment we arrived until checkout, our experience was nothing short of awesome. The staff here is phenomenal—friendly, helpful, and genuinely engaged. Every single interaction felt welcoming. You can easily tell the owners take serious pride in this property; the sites and facilities are impeccably maintained and clean. Location-wise, it doesn't get better. It's the perfect launchpad for Skyline Drive (we did a gorgeous 5-hour loop with breakfast and tons of photo stops). We also ventured down to the Harrisonburg Farmers Market, which is a must-try if you stay here! Back at the campground, it's incredibly kid- and dog-friendly. Saturday was packed with events for all ages—the trick-or-treating and haunted hayride were an absolute blast for everyone. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a memorable weekend! 🙌🏼🏕️

We have camped at this KOA quite a few times! The staff are wonderful and went out of their way to accommodate us when there was a scheduling error! They made sure we were taken care of ! The sites are well maintained and the amenities are A+. We were there over the Fall weekend and throughly enjoyed the “Hey Ride” with Brian, he makes sure kids of all ages has a great time! We will be back for a third year next year!! Check it out you won't be disappointed!
