We stayed 2 nights and went out into the mountains during the day. It was a great stay and the pizza was awesome. The staff were very friendly and we plan to do a family vacation here again! Highly recommend

We had a great time at this KOA! The lodge we stayed in was clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed all the games and activities that the campground had to offer.

We use this as an overnight stop, but the campsite is very beautiful and it was our third time using it in the last two years.

Always a great campground to visit. Incredibly friendly staff. Easy to maneuver through the park. Shaded spaces make it even better when temps are in the 90's.

Love the campground. We always stay at the back in full hookup sites. Lots of space between sites and peaceful since they backup to the woods. We love the nature trail as well. As always the staff were very helpful and friendly. We will be back!

I only stayed overnight, but it was very clean well kept and very beautiful campsite. A lot of effort put in to make this campsite very pleasing.

Great for an overnight stay although I could have stayed longer if my trip allowed. Location was approximately 30 minutes from where I got off the Blue Ridge Parkway but was worth the drive. Staff was friendly and helpful. Facilities clean and well maintained.

A great place to stay, site 71 is perfect for pets. A very friendly and welcoming staff. Close to New Market battlefield and Shenandoah National Park.

It was a wonderful stay. We was in a tent for 8 nights. Weather was awesome. The staff was amazingly. The campground and all the facilities were exceptionally clean. Will be back again to visit.

Never again. This KOA clearly caters to RVs & treats tent campers like an afterthought. Our anniversary trip started with a campsite buried in dead leaves we had to clear ourselves. Then the showers had no hot water, and staff’s solution was to “jiggle the knob.” Ridiculous. We chose KOA for clean, working facilities—this place failed badly.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are sorry you feel this way. Did you ask for the actual Campground Manager? You could have moved to another site or our staff could have cleaned those leaves off of your site. The same with the issue with the water in the bathhouse. The Campground Manager was not made aware of this.

You have a lovely campground, however terrible customer service. I will never stay with you again and could never in good conscience recommend your facility after the way I was treated. Your ownership and staff have no empathy and/or compassion.

Had you not screamed at the staff trying to assist you when you were trying to cancel the day you were supposed to check in we would h The staff were following policy and you upset a 15 year in her first job. We offered to reschedule you but you chose not to. You are not welcome back.

This one is a real campground! Quiet, beautiful, well-seasoned with large trees and bird song, and a get away that's close enough.

After a long road trip, we ended up spending our off day in the campground rather than driving to the NP, and it was great. There's a nice hiking trail and plenty of activities for adults and kids in the campground. The staff was friendly and helpful, facilities clean and well maintained. The showers were amazing! The layout is pretty dense, but it wasn't that crowded so all good for us!

The Harrisonburg KOA is such a relaxing, peaceful campground tucked in the woods! The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Sites are easy to get in and out for our 40’ fifth wheel! Will definitely recommend!

We stay in the rustic cabins , which we enjoy. This trip we were next to the pet park. Didn’t mind the daytime visitors but late at night when they came by flashlights, they did not pick up after their dog. Next morning 6;00 am another visitor with a barker. Maybe there should be posted hours like same as quiet hours. Other than that we enjoy this park.

Our campsite was shaded with a stone firepit and picnic table. Campground was very well maintained with employees riding around on a regular basis to check things. Bathhouse was always spotless. Great playground, pool and fenced in area for dogs. Staff was very friendly. We will definitely be going back.

Check in reception, facilities, site good to go. Beautiful Shenandoah area. Will definitely use again when in that area.

Everything about the stay was fantastic. Everyone at the front desk was super helpful, friendly and a joy to interact with. The cabin we stayed at was well maintained and perfect for our family. Our family enjoyed the activities and amenities around the property. Thanks for helping us make a great family trip.

We had a large wooded site, comparable to those in state parks, with a fire pit lined with natural stones. The bathrooms were first rate, and even the wood we bought was high quality. We usually prefer state park campgrounds to private ones, but this KOA had the natural beauty and space we like, along with superior amenities.

Top notch from the get-go! Impressively professional staff, excellent value, beautiful campsite, pizza delivered to site was a real plus! Shower/restroom facilities primo! We will definitely be back!!

We had such a wonderful stay! What a nice, clean campground and facilities. The staff was seriously amazing, they were so nice, I was very impressed! The food/wood/ice delivery was great. We will definitely be back!

Very clean campsite. Very well organized. I would recommend free coffee prior to 9 am otherwise everything was impeccable!

The hosts/staff super friendly. Our site was level with FHU, there were 2 sewer connections on forward and one back. Campground was quiet and clean. There is camp store that will deliver fire wood or pizza to your site. I plan on staying again next spring.

We enjoyed the quiet of the heavily wooded and large sites. Staff was helpful. The campground was clean and well taken care of. Definitely a place we will return to on our trips from NY to FL.
