Super friendly staff and they kept the whole campground tidy. We had site 49 which was nice and level and being enough for our trailer and truck to fit. We stayed because it was close to JMU and will likely stay again.

Best staff ever!!! We recommended to friends after our last stay. They took our advice and took their palm tree for nightly luaus! We will definitely recommend and will definitely be back.

Liked the stone apron. No puddles when it rained . Tough hike to the showers but I really liked where we were camped on 57. Everyone very friendly and staff very helpful. Will camp their again

Friendly folks, campground has a lot for kids and dogs and adults. Lovely wooded setting. Would gladly stay again.

Had a pull through in the new section. Very, very nice level lot. Just stayed one night so made it easy that we didn't have to unhook. Very clean bathrooms! This is our second time here and will come back when we travel this way again!

One of the best places we’ve stayed in our 6 years of camping. The employees were very helpful and friendly and there were plenty of employees for the needs. The campsites were spacious and all services worked well. Nice work.

After 3 1/2 weeks on the road we ran into a tech problem. Dave was a god send and got us on the road. Thank you KOA for having such helpful. Knowledgeable staff.

Had a nice stay but we hardly had WiFI, the management knew so I was surprised nothing had been done to fix it.

Great KOA! Staff extremely friendly ( especially Deb & her husband)! Lots to do around there. Only issue were the gnats or no seeums !! Staff said came out because of tree cutting going on. Should have done that after they close. They were thick!

Sites and roads are one in the same, can't tell them apart. Need to have directions on them

Bathrooms and showers are clean and well kept. Store is convenient however "Primitive sites" are uneven with rocks, wet and muddy, and full of insects. Fire ring is not a ring but some broken stones. Other more expensive sites better but very little privacy and small pads. Campground is an hour drive from Shenandoah park and staff can be very friendly at times and/or outright hostile.

Very nicely done campground. But when the campground is full too many campfires leave the air acrid and tough to bresth outside the RV. Like no smoking sections I wish there could be a no fire section farther up the hill there.

Nice stop on I-81 not to far from the Heritage Market which is interesting to visit. Beautiful scenery going in & out on their road. Beware some sites may not be level and some have acorns dropping, but the shade trees are nice. Friendly and efficient staff. They have really good fried pies for sale in the office and will deliver a pizza to your site. Great cable TV and good I-net!

Very easy to get to off 81. Staff was very friendly and helpful even guiding us into our site. Campground was well maintained as well

I love camping here! i talk with other campers during my stay and almost everyone says how nice the campground is and how friendly the staff is. It’s so clean and inviting. I witnessed staff members helping late comers find their site while walking their dog (David) or Tim escorting two units after dark after putting in a long day himself. They show such dedication during and after hours.

Highly recommend this KOA. Easy after hour sign in and the bathrooms are immaculate beyond words. No mold and the temperature/air quality was better than any KOA bathroom we've stayed at. I can't recommend this KOA enough 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🙌🏻

We travel around the U.S., Mexico and Canada with our 5 dogs. We usually seek out KOAs because we feel welcome with that many dogs and there usually aren't any ridiculous limits on how many dogs you can have. We felt very welcome at this beautiful campground run by super nice people. We came in after hours and the available sites were left in the box in envelopes. (I even messed up and forgot to take my site map out of the envelope and didn't know my site number and couldn't find my campsite - there were staff members on site that came to my rescue even after 10pm and they were very nice about it.). Nice fenced in dog area, pool even pizza! We have been here at least 4 times for overnighters but definitely have to stay for a longer visit.
