Harrisonburg / Shenandoah Valley KOA Holiday General Information

We are not a very large campground. As such, everything in the campground is within walking distance and a golf cart is not necessary. Golf carts will only be allowed to be driven in the campground if you have a handicap license plate or placard. In addition you will need to show proof of insurance for the golf cart. Golf carts are only allowed to be driven by licensed drivers who are not under the influence of alcohol or other controlled substance. If you qualify, please let the office know at check-in that you have a golf cart and provide a copy of your insurance. Permission to use a golf cart can be revoked at any time if we feel that you are compromising the safety of yourself or other campers.

Late check out for ALL sites is at a rate of $5 an hour fee.  If you want to stay past 4:00 PM you will be charged for an extra night.

From I-81 Exit 257, take 11N 1/10 mile, then right on Mauzy-Athlone Rd (608) for 4 miles, we are right there at the end of the road.

To guarantee your campsite, a deposit will be charged to your credit card at the time you make your reservation. If you need to cancel your reservation, please call before the deadlines listed below to receive your deposit refund, minus a $10 cancellation fee. Text and email notifications of cancellations are not acceptable.
RV & Tent Sites: 48 hours cancellation notice is required. Please notify us by 4 p.m. two days before your scheduled arrival. Camping and Deluxe Cabins: 7 days cancellation notice required.  Please notify us one week before your scheduled arrival.
Reservations made after these deadlines require nonrefundable deposits. Cancellations made after deadlines will result in forfeiture of all deposits.

Active military, Fire Fighters, EMT and Police you know who you are! Show us your ID and we will show you the discount! You get 10% off your site fee. This discount is valid year round. No other discounts apply. Discount must be requested when making a reservation. Valid ID card necessary at registration. Active member must occupy discounted site. We thank you for all you do!

Rates are based on 2 adults and 2 persons under 12. All additional persons are an extra $6 per person per day. We do require all visitors to the campground to check in at the office before proceeding to your campsite.  We have a limit of six persons and two cars per campsite. All cars must be parked on the gravel and not on grass. All additional cars shall be parked in the parking lot. Visitors have full access to all the campground amenities.

Our 1 room cabins have three beds with mattresses (1 full size & twin bunks)

Bring: Flashlight, camp chairs, bath towels, bed linens and pillows 
Inside: Cable TV, a microwave, refrigerator, trash can, air conditioner, heater, ceiling fan, reading light, smoke detector, and power outlet.
Outside: porch swing, fire ring, picnic table and charcoal grill.
No bathroom or kitchen in one room cabins
No cooking or smoking allowed inside the cabins
Bathhouse is located across from the cabins
Fresh water is located near the cabins
The laundry room has a sink for dishwashing

We have a maximum of one car per cabin. Additional cars shall park at the parking lot. We do not allow tents on the Cabin Sites. Open sided gazebo or EZ UP type shelters in addition to the camping unit are allowed.

Our staff goes out of their way to work hard and make sure your camping experience runs smoothly. The 2 bedroom cabins have: Queen size bed, twin bunks,and full size futon couch
Max occupancy is six persons
Bath includes: shower, sink, toilet, soap, and toilet paper.
Kitchen includes: microwave, small refrigerator, toaster, coffee pot, and sink (no stove top)
Inside: Cable TV, DVD player, dining table that sits four, trash can, paper towels, dish detergent, dish rack, dishes and silverware to serve six, two microwave safe bowls, can opener, two serving utensil, and a broom/dustpan.
Outside: Charcoal grill, picnic table, fire ring and a gas grill

We have a maximum of two cars per Deluxe Cabin. Additional cars shall park at the parking lot. We do not allow tents on the Deluxe Cabin Sites. Open sided gazebo or EZ UP type shelters are allowed.

We allow one camping unit, six person maximum, and two cars maximum on each RV site. Open sided gazebo or EZ UP type shelters in addition to the camping unit are allowed. If both of your cars can not fit on the site without parking on the grass, you will need to park one vehicle in the parking lot. Unfortunately, we cannot allow a tent to be placed on an RV site with an RV. We do have a limited number of "buddy sites" available. Call ahead to reserve yours today! Rates are based on 2 adults and 2 persons under 12. All additional persons are an extra $6 per person per day.

Our pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
All children must be supervised by a responsible adult when in the pool area.
Please do not bring your pets, food or drinks into the pool enclosure. There is no smoking in the pool area.
There is no lifeguard at our pool. You are responsible for your children at all times.
Diving is prohibited.
All children in diapers must wear plastic pants with snug fitting elastic waist and leg bands.  Swim Diapers are availabe for purchase in the Kamp Store.

We offer several options for groups. From a dedicated RV section where you will be in your own Cul De Sac, to cabins, lodges and two group tenting areas. Reserve our pavilion and party grill for the afternoon or pre-order dinner or pizza from our catering staff. Call ahead to plan your group event.

You are responsible for your children. Children under the age of 12 must be directly supervised by a responsible adult at all times. 
ALL Children must wear a Helmet at all times when riding Bicycles, hoverboards, etc.  This is a Virginia Law.

Our campground maintains quiet hours between 10pm and 7am. This includes barking dogs, loud voices and music. Please keep your music volume so it cannot be heard outside your site.

The Harrisonburg/Shenandoah Valley KOA Campground does not discriminate against any dogs based upon breed or size.
We do require all dogs be on a leash measuring no longer than 6 feet.
All dogs must be supervised at all times.
You must carry a pick up bag with you at all times when walking your dog and you must clean up after your dog immediately.
Barking and aggression is not tolerated.
We allow pets in our cabins and lodges. Pet fees for cabins are $35.00/pet and deluxe cabins are $50.00/ per pet. Managers and owners discretion on pet weight.

The Harrisonburg/Shenandoah Valley KOA property borders the George Washington National Forest. In the interest of protecting our National Forest from foreign diseases and insects, we can not allow foreign wood to enter the property. You may bring in locally purchased kiln dried firewood or purchase firewood from us. We reserve the right to request proof of origin of all wood entering the campground.
