Campgrounds is okay f9r the drive to,the campgrounds is difficult in a RV. A little difficult to find the exit when leaving In the dark. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Thank you so much for your comments. Please understand that this campground is 52 years old and the road coming into our campground is a state highway and we have no control over that road.

We were coming from NJ & we had to change our original reservations due to the blizzard. Rep was more than helpful in accommodating us to the following week. Due to upcoming snow again we headed out 2 days earlier & Sue was very helpful in setting up an earlier reservation for us. When we arrived after hours. Sue was extremely professional helping us to get a site that worked for us. Thx

We stayed during the winter so of course everything looks a little gloomy at that time. We were happy to find a campground that was open and had all hook ups (they were a little rickety). Seasonal campers often have a lot of “stuff” around their set ups. It was quiet and the office staff friendly when I called. Good as a pass through spot, but did not seem like a Holiday KOA.

We are sorry that you didn't feel like we were a Holiday KOA. We do qualify as a Holiday KOA. We only have a couple of work kampers that stay here all year. We do not allow a lot of extra items to be out. We do hope you find a campground more to your liking.

We were pleased with campgrounds overall, very spacious sites. Unfortunately the office was closed for renovation so we did not have opportunity to see store & pick up any souvenirs, or even talk to staff.

Nice camp and friendly people. The road to the camp was "interesting" with a nighttime arrival as it is rather narrow with no shoulders.

Quick over night while searching for warmer weather. Place was well laid out and appeared to be taken care of. It was the off-season and plenty of snow on the ground. It was worth the stop!

Extremely accommodating considering the weather conditions! Several inches of snow with 2 inches of solid ice on top. Bath house was extremely clean and nice as well as warm! Will definitely be back again!

Tough time to stay as it was the middle of the freezing late January of 2026 we were heading back to the family home in Connecticut just needed a place to plug in safe dry and warm for the night off the highway. Campground was very nice, quiet, seem to be well kept but there were 8 in of snow covering everything! Roads were cleared sites were cleared, bath house was clean and hot water was hot!

Had two sites for a weekend. Nighttime temps in single digits. Staff was upfront about snow and ice conditions. No problem they had both sites cleared beyond our expectations. Had difficulty with water at one site, maintenance was there within 10 minutes and fixed the issue. Campground is very convenient to Massanutten, Staff was very informative and friendly, would recommend this KOA .

As usual we loved our stay as this is at least the third time we have camped here. Excellent customer service, clean bathrooms, and a short drive off the highway but no highway noise. Perfect campsite.

We stop almost every year on our way to Florida. Easy and clean. I always think how pretty it must be in summer and fall.

Great experience for a January trip. Refilled propane tank with a smile. Check in and set up was a breeze. Beautiful park. Wonderful hosts. Good dog area. Would love to return. Highly recommend the park and the area.

Lovely campground! Sites are laid out nicely so sites are not one on top of the other. About three miles off the highway so no traffic noise. Very peaceful and clean, staff is so friendly and accommodating! We stop here here every time we travel between FL and NY!

This was our second stay here. It’s a great spot for an overnight when traveling up 81. Unlike some other KOAs it’s a ways from the highway and so quiet. Sites are nicely spaced apart and the grounds are well maintained. Would actually like to book in the future for a longer stay to do all the national park things, skyline drive, hike and visit some caverns.

For our first stay there and that the first time that fat north, it was phenomenal. The customer service was terrific, the sites and overall atmosphere were terrific. For not enjoying the cold, I would definitely stay there again.

Sites are level despite being on a hillside. WIFI is fast. Water connection is well insulated and heated for year-round use. Try to arrive during daytime as the roads to/from and within the park are a bit tight.

Nice sites. Loved the patio with the table, chairs, and grill. The fire ring and chairs were also nice. Top KOA that we have stayed at. Would highly recommend.

This was our first time staying at this KOA, it’s very clean and the sites are numbered that you can easily find them, when arriving after hours. Office staff was very friendly when making our reservation. Will definitely make this one of our stops when we are heading south!

We were very impressed. For us it was a travel stop, but were pleased to see a very well run campground. It's obvious it is well cared for and maintained. Most sites have cool stone firepits and really unique wooden carved signage. The facilities were nice and clean, no issues with the hookups. Sites had good spacing. We've already talked about returning and staying longer on a future trip.

The campsites are nicely spaced, some very generously. My site was dead level side to side. Fresh water is heated so there is no shut-off during winter. Nights during my stay were in the twenties. All RV sites have a crushed stone base. This KOA is at the base of Massanutten mountain. The area is heavily treed and rocky. You feel surrounded by nature, as you should when camping.

A nice, well kept campground. My only comment is the placement of the hookups. Lucky I had an extension for my electric to reach the rear of my unit. I do plan to book stays in the future.

Very nice KOA. It's in the woods with tons of trees and shade. Sites are spread out so you are not packed in next to your neighbors like many campgrounds. I was also able to move around easily with my 33 ft trailer. Would absolutely stay here again.

One of the best koa facilities I've been to in a while. Roads are well kept, staff is kind, sites are nicely place with plenty of trees, activities to do if you feel like it and a decent pool. Not much to complain about here. Thanks for making this a home away from home!
