The drive leading to the campground made me a little apprehensive, but the campground was beautiful. Lots sizes are large and the staff was very helpful.

The park is beautiful, quiet and well kept. The people were very welcoming and helpful. The road coming into the park was a bit hairy, but that was the only downfall and not the parks fault. We would definitely stay again.

The Diaz family Loves coming to this KOA campsite yearly. The management team is wonderful, caring, and goes out of their way to ensure their campground and guests are 5 stars. Every year the kids love swimming at the pool, smores by the fire, the labor day festivities, and going to the general store for candy and treats. We always leave waiting to come back. Thank you for all you do mgmt team!!!

We love the Harrisonburg Koa! It looks like a page out of a KOA magazine!! It is welcoming! The staff are wonderful! And the fried fresh fruit pastries! But the best part was the dog park! Will come back again next year!!

What a beautiful, serene location that’s close to the interstate. The check-in process was quick and informative. All the staff were friendly and professional.

Very nice Campground, friendly staff, well stocked shop, clean bathrooms and showers. Site was level and well shaded. Staff guided us to the site and assisted with parking. Price is on the higher side. To get to the campground you're iving through scenic rolling hills on a fairly narrow paved road. Location is a reasonable distance from main highway, far enough that you don't hear highway noise.

The office personnel recommended joining the KOA club which wound up saving me about $150. Well worth it. Communication from the staff on a regular basis via text message was very much appreciated. I rented a cabin and the cabin was very clean and was more than I was expecting. Very pleased and will be back to rent the same cabin again next year.

This is a very well managed, clean, and safe campground. The staff were friendly and made the best of a rainy holiday weekend for all their campers! There are lots of hikes nearby and it’s a scenic drive from the campground to skyline drive. We will be staying here again!

All of the KOA staff was very friendly, kind and informative. They really create a family-like atmosphere throughout the campground. The facilities were all very well cared for and CLEAN!

We had a great time Labor Day weekend. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The campground looked great and the bathrooms and store were very clean. We will definitely be returning.

Not a level site, rough gravel and mud throughout the park, sites extremely close together. 4.5 miles on a winding road.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are sorry you were not happy with our campground. We had just received 2.25 inches in 30 minutes which is rare for our campground. Mud can’t be helped in these conditions. Sites are not close together since this campground was built 52 years ago. We hope you can find a campground you like.

During our stay it was nice and quiet. Enjoyed the walking with our dog around the campground. Nice clean sites and campground. Woman and men working the campground were very nice.

We love this beautiful KOA in the woods. Quiet, facilities are beautiful, staff is friendly and helpful. Great hiking trail on the property. Only issue, be prepared for a very narrow, twisty road to get to this camp. We’re a 40 ft MH and tow a 2 door jeep. It was very scary and difficult for us. We met 2 school buses trying to get there which required a great deal of maneuvering to get by!

Signs on road leading to campground were helpful. Guided to site, quiet campground, clean laundry room with a lending library. Great base to see the caverns & hiking. Loved the woodcarving on the signs, benches etc! Very talented artist.

The campground managers are super friendly, you can tell they take pride in their work. Campground is clean, nice amenities and a great camp store. Will definitely return.

Clean,rustic feel, nice showers, but the pool let it down for me, dead insects floating feathers and twigs , ie the filter was not working, did not stay in pool for very long, we only stayed one night, the pool had no bearing on our length of stay, pre planned for one night only, 3rd visit to KOA site will stay again when required.

We are sorry to hear that you were displeased with the pool. Did you happen to notify the office so that they could have maintenance see about this issues. We checked the filter and we have no issues with the filter. Pools do tend to have things fall into the water. Thank you for your comments.

This campground is wonderful!! The staff is so welcoming, helpful and friendly !! The amenities are endless, even though quite never had time to use them. The site were awesome, spacious private and to our surprise we had a concrete patio section complete with lounge chairs, a swing, 4 seat table, fire pit and gas grill!! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!

It’s a very clean and quiet campground. One suggestion, have more motion activated lighting to help with walking around in early morning.

The Owner has made some really nice improvements to the overall Park. Facilities are great...the staff is very accommodating...very nice gift shop...just a real nice place to stay!

Susan was very helpful getting our reservation upgraded due to a glitch in the process. The cabin was beautiful, clean and very organized. The campground is very well kept and user friendly.

Second year in a row that we stayed here on our way from Maine to Florida. People working in the office are also campers. They are very friendly and helpful. They even take you to your site. Will most likely make them an annual stop. Very clean and quiet campground.

First time staying at this campground and we will return in the future. Easy check in, friendly staff, good site, bathrooms & laundry areas well maintained, many activities to keep you active, hiking trail and quiet at night for sleeping.

It was a great time, the campground was well kept and the bathrooms were clean. The staff were awesome and very helpfull. There is alot activities for kids and adults during the weekends and overall alot to do at the campground we did not have much luck fishing but it was still fun. The campground was packed but it was quite early morning and at night witch was great. They have a good delivery service, pizza, firewood and propane all delivered to you site. The only downfall we had is that it was far from anything we wanted to do, but that was due to our planning. We will definitely go again

🌟 An absolute gem for a weekend getaway! We came up to see the fall colors on Skyline Drive and truly picked the perfect place to stay. From the moment we arrived until checkout, our experience was nothing short of awesome. The staff here is phenomenal—friendly, helpful, and genuinely engaged. Every single interaction felt welcoming. You can easily tell the owners take serious pride in this property; the sites and facilities are impeccably maintained and clean. Location-wise, it doesn't get better. It's the perfect launchpad for Skyline Drive (we did a gorgeous 5-hour loop with breakfast and tons of photo stops). We also ventured down to the Harrisonburg Farmers Market, which is a must-try if you stay here! Back at the campground, it's incredibly kid- and dog-friendly. Saturday was packed with events for all ages—the trick-or-treating and haunted hayride were an absolute blast for everyone. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a memorable weekend! 🙌🏼🏕️

We have camped at this KOA quite a few times! The staff are wonderful and went out of their way to accommodate us when there was a scheduling error! They made sure we were taken care of ! The sites are well maintained and the amenities are A+. We were there over the Fall weekend and throughly enjoyed the “Hey Ride” with Brian, he makes sure kids of all ages has a great time! We will be back for a third year next year!! Check it out you won't be disappointed!
