The sites are clean and have space. The staff are friendly and helpful. Oh and try the fried pocket pies, they are fantastic. I will definitely plan a return trip to explore the area more.

Stopover two nites pull thru. Well laid out, but many trees dead or dying. Unsightly, and hurts shady areas. Biggest complain is narrow twisting county road approach for three miles. Barely wide enough for motorhome to meet a car, and zero shoulders in some places. One slip, and there’s the ditch or trees or mailboxes. White knuckle drive!

Thank you for your comments. Our campground cannot and should not be reviewed based on the road as this is a state of Virginia highest that we cannot control. The dead trees are being dealt with as this is caused by soil compaction from large rigs. Please contact the Virginia DOT about road.

The front desk/welcome staff were terrific, very informative, efficient, and pleasant! Our only negatives were (1) no restrooms/showers other than at the check-in building; (2) our site was a tri-level, making it a bit of a challenge to find the right spot for a level trailer (we did though); and (3) the water pressure was barely 30 psi at our site. Otherwise, it was a very nice, very clean camp.

Thank you for your comments. 30 PSI is very low for our campground. Were you using a pressure regulator? If so you will achieve that low PSI as we have a well and control the PSI. We hope you will come back and give us another chance in the future.

It’s a good stop for the night. They did update hook ups at all of the sites, but the sites are not level and you have to use blocks.

We appreciate your comments. This campground is 52 years and we maintain the campground with leveling regularly. We are at the base of the mountain so there is only so much that can be done. We hope you will give our campground another chance in the future. Call for a more level site at booking.

Very clean grounds and bathrooms. Decently stocked store with friendly staff. Wish the pool would have been open. Closed after Labor Day. Tried to fish pond several times with no bites. Shower hot water is spottie.

I had a wonderful time just hanging out in camp or hiking the trails nearby. The staff at the KOA are wonderful. The camp is clean and well maintained.

What a beautiful, relaxing campground. Super friendly and welcoming staff. Well maintained sites. Sparkling pool. Big playground. And a chicken house! Extra clean restrooms. Well-stocked store. Trash pick up at your site every morning. And they will deliver ice and firewood. A fabulous spot for a family vacation.

We loved this KOA. Very lovely natural setting, woodsy, without the concrete pad parking lot look many KOAs have. Reliable WiFi.. Manager is the best. Friendly, caring. Helped when my husband became extremely dehydrated and ill. Not only offered a suggestion but gave us 3 packs of an electrolyte solution which kept him from going to the ER. We are very grateful for her kindness.

We were on a cross-country trip with only one-night stops. It's important for us to quickly get settled to relax. Our trailer is only 20' but we were having a problem getting it leveled on our assigned site. The staff quickly came to the rescue and moved us to another site. 10 minutes later we were leveled and settled in. They even freshened the firepit from an earlier rain. Great service!

We had a full service site that had been vacated by a full time resident. It was convienant to a walking path. He bathrooms were quite a distance but ok. We had been here before and liked it. Very well kept and lots of shady sites.

Best ever ..the staff is great ,friendly ,helpful and grounds are beautiful. We will be back . We have stay in other sites but never felt so welcomed . This site is something very special . And I cant stress how great the staff is . Perfect

staff was great! very helpful and planned neat activities for the guests. some sites could use some leveling, and maybe some additional laundry facilities, but overall would go back! (gnats were annoying but couldnt be helped by the staff :) ) it was also great to see younger people working for the campground and engaging with the guests. Loved getting text updates about weather & such!

First time there. Short drive from Interstate. Nice and quiet. We had lots of room at our site. Got pizza at store after setting up. Delicious! Everyone was friendly. Our new puppy enjoyed his treat from one of the store's staff.

Our first visit to Harrisonburg/Shenandoah Valley KOA was an amazing experience! It was our first time camping for a whole week in our new camper and it was wonderful. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly. Loved that they delivered pizza, ice and wood to your campsite. Definitely recommend this KOA.

Peaceful wooded campsites, exactly what camping should be. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Disappointed that the pool was closed as we were told when booking that it would be open.

Everyone we dealt with was pleasant and helpful. A staff member escorted us to our site and made sure we had what we needed. We had firewood and hot, delicious pizza delivered right to our door. There were a lot of activities for kids and we received numerous texts during our stay to keep us up to date on weather and upcoming activities. It seems to be a well run campground.

It was a great time, the campground was well kept and the bathrooms were clean. The staff were awesome and very helpfull. There is alot activities for kids and adults during the weekends and overall alot to do at the campground we did not have much luck fishing but it was still fun. The campground was packed but it was quite early morning and at night witch was great. They have a good delivery service, pizza, firewood and propane all delivered to you site. The only downfall we had is that it was far from anything we wanted to do, but that was due to our planning. We will definitely go again

🌟 An absolute gem for a weekend getaway! We came up to see the fall colors on Skyline Drive and truly picked the perfect place to stay. From the moment we arrived until checkout, our experience was nothing short of awesome. The staff here is phenomenal—friendly, helpful, and genuinely engaged. Every single interaction felt welcoming. You can easily tell the owners take serious pride in this property; the sites and facilities are impeccably maintained and clean. Location-wise, it doesn't get better. It's the perfect launchpad for Skyline Drive (we did a gorgeous 5-hour loop with breakfast and tons of photo stops). We also ventured down to the Harrisonburg Farmers Market, which is a must-try if you stay here! Back at the campground, it's incredibly kid- and dog-friendly. Saturday was packed with events for all ages—the trick-or-treating and haunted hayride were an absolute blast for everyone. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a memorable weekend! 🙌🏼🏕️

We have camped at this KOA quite a few times! The staff are wonderful and went out of their way to accommodate us when there was a scheduling error! They made sure we were taken care of ! The sites are well maintained and the amenities are A+. We were there over the Fall weekend and throughly enjoyed the “Hey Ride” with Brian, he makes sure kids of all ages has a great time! We will be back for a third year next year!! Check it out you won't be disappointed!
