From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and knew the 7+ hour trip from Long Island was worth it! The entire staff team was super friendly and the cabins/grounds were immaculate. Our entire group had a great time the entire week. This is going on my list of favorite KOAs for sure!

The number of dead and dying trees in the campground was astonishing. There were eight dead trees at our site. The number of tree trunks and stumps left throughout the campground was just a sad sight every time we went for a walk. And the noise of the drilling next to our campsite for two days was not included in the description of our campsite. Very sad, disappointing experience.

The campground was extremely clean and neat. It was also beautifully landscaped, and each campsite was nestled in among the trees. Our site had an awesome deck with gas grill, table and chairs, benches, glider rocker and a fire pit with Adirondack chairs. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We would not hesitate to stay there again in the future, and would highly recommend it to others.

We were only there for 1 night on our way up to visit family and a HS class reunion in NJ. But we loved the campground and the amenities so much we decided to book reservations on our way back to Texas for 6 nights so we can hike the Shenandoah National Park and use some of the amenities at your KOA!

Beautiful campground and very clean facilities. Careful on the drive in as the road is narrow bring your mirrors in.

Staff is great very accommodating. Everything is done so well . Love the wooden signs used for camp site numbers. The pool is clean could use one table with an umbrella. Bathrooms and showers are good one suggestion would be to redo the shower floors. Most campers wear shower shoes so not a game changer. Lots to do in the area - Uber is available. Our site was Hugh and the natural fire pit

One of our go-to campgrounds in VA, we stayed here both going and coming back from NH. Pros - great pizza and staff, first time using the pool and it was fine, very clean campground, and a easy location off of I-81. Cons - small dog park, too many rocks and not enough green space for our dogs, and absolutely the buggiest campground we have ever been to!!! Continuing to expand into the forest...

We arrived later than expected, paperwork was where they said it would be. I was stung by a bee because there was a nest by the water hook up. I notified the staff when leaving.

The best KOA I’ve been to. The signs and decorations, made me feel like I was staying at someone’s home. It was so welcoming and inviting.

Wonderful location, if we pass back thru the Shenandoah Valley, will stay again. It was only one night, but very nice setting. Other commenters note the very narrow, twisty road in, which we navigated with our 65’ rig without problem, but we fortunately did not meet another rig coming the other way in or out. I would also like to see the exit onto the street be a 4 way stop given short sightl

It was fabulous! Very clean and so peaceful. Staff is beyond amazing! All of them are so sweet! They even come by our campsite on their days off and talk with us. Love the tiny KOA baby Lucy. Delaine and Tim, you work so hard to make this campground so beautiful. Even on your days off you are doing things for the campground. Thank you all for making our week so amazing. �ϋ�

Staff was great. Park was clean. Bathhouse was clean and showers are hot. Campsites are way to small. Literally on top of each other and the set up at my site really didn't make any sense. However, we had a great stay and will return.

We stayed in Bear Lodge. it was absolutely fantastic. Pet Friendly and more than spacious. The drive in is fun regardless if you're towing or not (be careful and use common sense). Being this close to Shenandoah NP is nothing but positive. There are several attractions to experience via the North and South routes into the NP. Several amenities onsite: pizza made to order, firewood and ice!

THE PEOPLE THAT WORK THERE ARE VERY FRIENDLY. THEY DELIVERED EVERYTHING RIGHT TO THE CAMP SITE FOR US. THE AREA IS SO QUIET AND PEACEFUL.

Stayed three nights in Site 58 in early August 2025. The campground is beautiful, quiet, and well laid out, with excellent maintenance and signage. There are thoughtful touches all over, from flower arrangements to the decorative signs. The staff is superb: friendly, helpful, and immediately responsive. We will definitely be back.

Campground was carved out of the forest. Very pleasant with many trees and not just an unpaved parking lot like many campgrounds. Our site was level gravel with large gravel patio area with picnic table and firepit made of large stones. I noticed that they cleaned the firepits every time someone left a site. Lots of staff on site. Only 1 small bathouse near office but I do not use them so ok.

we came in without reservations and you were able to accommodate my friend and myself with a clean and well kept campsite! we were travelling across a section of the US and it was just... Great! KOA's are the bomb! Friendly and informative!!

The park was very clean as well as the bathrooms/showers. Staff were super nice & helpful. I always take my grandkids to various koa's & this one did not have that many things for kids to do. The basketball goal was practically in the woods so my grandson wouldn't go near it. It was hard to just walk around the park due to all the bugs so I didn't dare attempt the hiking trail.

Nice campground a bit off the interstate. Bath house is centrally located at the front office but very clean. Sites are tight and mostly level.

What a great place! The grounds are well kept and the staff is so nice! Laundry was easy to do here. $2.00 for each machine did seem like a lot but to have the service I think is more important. They have pizza made and brought right to your sight for you! I thought that was so neat! Lots of activities to do with kids and keep them occupied. Next time we stay we need to check out the little pond they have. I enjoyed hearing the water flow by in the background. We ten camped so I don't know if your experience will be different if you have a camper based on location for each spot but for tent camping this place was legit! 100 percent would recommend to anyone. Only things I think I would change is cash back at the register so if you didn't bring cash you can still get cash to use the coin machine. If the laundry was $1- $1.50 would make a little more sense. I also don't know what it would cost to run or maintain those so maybe it is a fair price. Others who own a laundry business would know.
