Stay was wonderful, Would be nice if you have some kind of water feature such as pool ,lazy river, or hot tub that was adult only.

Overall the stay was nice. We enjoyed watching the sunset from the loft at our site. The pools were very warm, so not really able to cool off, but I think the kids still had fun.

Amazing. I broke my foot the week before our trip and the staff was so accommodating and helpful. We loved the lazy river and pool. The convenience of the store onsite was a definite plus! We will be returning and telling our friends!

The overall appearance of the park was excellent. Each of the spaces were clean and well tended, except for the ants. We were constantly battling the ants inside our trailer and outside of it. We got home and were still battling the ants. The employees were friendly. We are not sure if we would ever get to the Galveston area again, but if we do, we will strongly consider staying here again.

We had an amazing time! If you are looking for a family friendly campground in Galveston, this is it! It was clean, it was quiet, all the stuff was so kind and helpful, between the playground, pool, lazy river, and beach right across the street - we were never bored! Thanks KOA for a great summer vacation!

On vacation with Grandchildren. Grandson loved the pond. The beach is across the street and up just a very short walk. Sites are concrete and very clean. Nice dog park and the lazy river was nice. Grandchildren didn’t swim in pool, only 4ft deep. Employees were very nice and helpful. We will be staying there again!

Very nice rv park. The pool was dirty with things floating in it, I could not use it. The front desk staff were very helpful and nice! The laundry room needs an air conditioner, it’s too hot in there. We had a nice stay otherwise.

Stay was not good! Had issues at pool along with several other folks when a family of 5-6 were tormenting guests. It was awful. There were several of us that told KOA management and nothing was done to them so the rest of us either left the campground to go do other things and we didn’t get to enjoy the Lazy River or pool. Paid alot of money to not be able to enjoy. :(

Nice / newer campground & clean for the most part just wish they would use more care in keeping up with the laundry & shower facility. Washing machines were funky with pet hair throughout which got all over my clothes (yuck). The washing machines had a musty/moldy smell. The bathrooms & showers were also smelly and dirty.. The daiquiris are DELICIOUS! Gorgeous views off the deck, nice pool areas.

Great place to stay in Galveston with nearby beach access. Only things left wanting were grilling facilities as most of the grills were clapped out from the sea being so nearby and exposure to constant wind off the beach. The bathrooms are all elevated so if you have mobility issues, this may be daunting although there is a long ramp to access. The last thing was that there is no sidewalk access to the beach. Plan on walking alongside of the busy highway on the grass because not much of a shoulder and cars are going through pretty quickly. Outside those things the grounds were really nice and well kept, the staff were very affable and helpful, the pool area and lazy rivers were nice although we didn't use them as the weather was a bit rainy on and off. When our plans fell through at the state park, the KOA was a good alternate and would definitely recommend. Will likely come back at some point. Friendly people and friendly neighbors.

We stayed a week at this RV park from the end of June to July 4. Nice level RV pads. Most are 25'x65' with about 1/3 being pull thru's. This is the furthest "West End" RV park on the island about 3.5 miles from San Luis Pass. We enjoyed this location since it's quiet with less traffic and in close proximity to the beach access point 36 (less than a mile) which is the best beach on Galveston Island. From our site (#31) you get a peek of the water. Our 7 year old grandson really enjoyed the lazy river, and so did a lot of the adults. A nice place to soak & float while responsibly enjoying an adult beverage and making new friends. There is also a pool and hot tub. Movie night at the lazy river on the weekends. Also close by is the (very laid back) Sandbar Grille in The West End Marina. The Sandbar Grille is a great place to eat or just hang out and have a drink when coming off the beach. Will stay at this park again!
