Galveston Island KOA Holiday General Information

RV & Tent Sites:  1:00pm
Deluxe Cabins:  3:00pm

Check out time for all sites and cabins is 11:00am

General Store & Registration: 9:00 am - 7:00pm  (Hours may vary by season.)

Pool & Lazy River Hours: 9:00 am - 9:00 pm

Quiet Hours: 10:00 pm - 8:00 am  (During quiet hours children 16 and under must be on their site or accompanied by a parent.)

Laundry Room: Open 24 Hours

Connecting with nature and wildlife. Various types of wildlife big and small may be on this campground.  Be alert and give them distance and respect.  Keep dogs on a leash and properly store food, trash, and cooking supplies. Your safety and the future of wildlife depend on you. Rattlesnakes have been reported in our area and on the campground. Avoid walking through tall grass and brush. If you hear a snake's warning rattle, move away and do not make sudden or threatening movements. Notify the campground as soon as possible.

Need to Cancel? If you need to cancel your reservation, please call 409-200-2745 before the deadlines listed below to receive your deposit refund, minus a $10 cancellation fee. Text and email notifications of cancellations are not acceptable.Reservations made after these deadlines require nonrefundable deposits. Cancellations made after deadlines will result in forfeiture of all deposits.

• RV & Tent Sites: 48 hours cancellation notice is required. Notify your KOA by 4 p.m. two days before your scheduled arrival.
  
• Deluxe Cabins:  7 day cancellation notice is required.  Notify your KOA by 4 p.m. 7 days before your scheduled arrival. 
  
• Extended Stay Sites:  30 day cancellation notice is required.  Notify your KOA by 4pm 30 days before your scheduled arrival.  
  
• Holidays and special events may have special deposit and/or cancellation requirements. Special conditions may apply during high-demand periods and special events. Please call 409-200-2745 for more details.  
  

Cancellation Guideline

Campers are able to bring their own golf carts or we can provide contact info for local rental companies.  We do not rent golf carts.  
Golf carts must:

• Be operated by a licensed driver
  
• Drive only on streets/paved roads
  
• Park in designated parking spots or on site.   Golf carts cannot park on grass.
  
• Obey posted speed limit of 10mph
  

We love pets! We do ask that you please keep your pet on a leash at all times. Never leave your pet unattended at your site. Please pick up after your pet, pet waste stations are located throughout the campground.
Pets are not permitted in common buildings, pool or lazy river.  Our cabins are pet friendly but require an additional fee.

KOA Pet Policy

Parking for 2 vehicles on your site is included with your reservation. There is a $40 fee for a 3rd vehicle, and no more than 3 vehicles are allowed (including registered guests and their visitors). Do not park on vacant sites.

• Visitors to the campground must pay a $20 per person daily fee (guests under 2 are free)
  
• All guests must check in at the office to receive a wristband and pay the visitor fee.   
  
• Maximum of 4 visitors per site daily. 
  
• All daily visitors are welcome to visit between 9:00 am and 8:00 pm.
  
• Visitor Access to campground amenities (such as pool or lazy river) may be restricted due to maximum occupancy rules.
  
• Campground management reserves the right to adjust visitor policy at any time.  Guests found not following campground rules will be asked to leave.  Visitor fees are non-refundable.
  

 The number of day guests permitted during peak season (Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend) or holiday weekends may be limited.

Help us keep this campground clean.  We ask that you kindly bring your garbage to the blue dumpsters to discard.  Dumpsters are conveniently located next to Kamp K9 and near the Maintenance Garage.  There will be no garbage pick up at your site.  In addition please do not leave garbage bags outside overnight or for extended periods of time due to seagulls and winds.

Speed limit is 10mph throughout the park.   Please be aware of kids and adults at play while driving any vehicles.

Galveston is know for it's beautiful breezes.  Please be sure to secure your belongings overnight or when leaving your site as these winds can pick up and take your belongings for an unintended trip across the campground and beyond.

We do offer free, basic WiFi throughout the campground.

Welcome to Galveston Island KOA Holiday!

Tammy Hollander and her husband Marc took an interesting path to their jobs at Galveston Island KOA Holiday. They met in the music industry, then decided snow was no longer their friend and moved from the Midwest to the Florida Keys. Hurricane Irma brought them to Orlando/Kissimmee KOA Holiday where they assisted in clean up, which ultimately led them to fall in love with Kampgrounds of America. Tammy and Marc look forward to meeting new guests and getting involved in the Galveston community, come visit and say hello!
