Ebenezer Scrooge, the most unrepentant and miserly of fellows, is made to see the light as he is visited by the ghosts of his own life: Jacob Marley and the Christmas Spirits of Past, Present and Future. This new adaptation of Dickens' ever popular classic fills the stage with lush costumes, stunning sets, song, dance, a heavy dose of humor and a timeless message.
Holiday with the Cranes
We're excited to report that Sandhill Cranes have begun arriving on the Island in small flocks. Soon we'll have hundreds of these elegant birds wintering with us, as they take advantage of our milder climate and plentiful food resources.To celebrate the arrival of these 3-4 foot tall, red-capped visitors, we invite you to join Galveston Island Nature Tourism Council in what's been dubbed by the New York Times as “one of the quirkiest events in Texas” – Holiday with the Cranes!For a unique holiday experience, spend a wild weekend in Galveston celebrating the return of the Island's Sandhill Cranes at Holiday with the Cranes, Dec. 11 – 12, 2021. The weekend is chock-full of indoor and outdoor nature activities combined with the ambience and warm hospitality of historic Galveston Island!Holiday with the Cranes is presented by the Galveston Island Nature Tourism Council, a membership organization that connects people with Galveston's natural environment.

It's not “Just Your Imagination!” The multi-award-winning superstars of soul, The Temptations, will be serenading fans in Galveston on their 60th anniversary tour! The Temptations are currently the subject of the smash hit Broadway musical, Ain't Too Proud: The Life and Times of The Temptations, which earned a Grammy® Award nomination, 12 Tony Award® nominations, and a Tony Award® win for Best Choreography in 2019. With their rhythm, blues and iconic songs that transcend generations such as “My Girl,” “I Can't Get Next to You” and “Papa Was a Rollin' Stone,” The Temptations continue to dazzle and delight audiences across the globe. “Get Ready” for a stellar evening of music!
Galveston Museum Day
Visitors to Galveston will be able to start their new year off with a glimpse into the Island's storied past during Galveston Museum Day taking place Jan. 29-30, 2022. The event will feature free and discounted admission to 12 Galveston-area museums. During Museum Day, visitors can learn about Galveston's place as one of the wealthiest cities in the United States during the late 1800s, the powerful families who helped build the city, Galveston's significance to immigration in the region and the importance of the industries that keep Galveston thriving.

At Mardi Gras! Galveston, the extravagance found in Texas' largest Mardi Gras celebration starts with the beads! More than 3 million beads will be thrown at Mardi Gras! Galveston and that's just the beginning of the elaborate parades, headliner performances, family events, feasting and other festivities that come with hosting Mardi Gras island style.
