We stayed at this KOA late in August. Occupancy was at off-season levels, maybe 15% occupied. We got a site that was wide open with nobody around, quiet and peaceful. Park curb appeal was typical of a coastal area, some shrubbery, grass and a few palm trees. Site 308. Friendly, helpful staff. Several park amenities, all in good condition, Dog Review - 5 Paws rating.

Campgrounds were excellent, amenities were excellent., but don't understand why were placed on a site as far away a possible from the amenities, also next to the main entrance (traffic) and next to the main road (traffic) and the only site on the grounds that did not have a cooking grill.

The park is very well maintained. The pools are nice and the dog park is much appreciated.

We love your KOA - however - we came as a group with a “wagon master” and there was a lot of confusion on that end in the office. Will definitely be back but just not under a “group”. We will be making our own individual reservations.

A very nice campground. It is a bit out of the way from Galveston and the nice restaurants and stores.

The grounds were beautiful, clean, and spacious. Employees were kind and helpful. The amenities were great. We absolutely loved the lazy River and the on-site margaritas were delicious!

The activities listed online did not match the activities at the park. Specifically, there was no live music and no trivia game. These were both listed in the online calendar. I did get a text message about popcorn but didn’t realize there was a charge for this. It wasn’t made clear at the beginning. All of the employees are very hard workers and they are constantly busy

Bad news all around First, electrical problems with the pedestal. KOA said it was not their problem. Called in an independent electrical company that confirmed a bad breaker in the pedestal. KOA then changed the breaker. We bought items at the store clearly marked down and identifying the product on the sales tag. but were charged full price after checkout. Management has ignored a refund request.

The Galveston KOA is a wonderful place to stay. It has great amenities, well maintained,and very friendly staff. I highly recommend staying here.

Stayed in Galveston. Location was good, very peaceful. Enjoyed the pool and lazy river. Beach was just a short walk away. Had a pawpen, which was handy when setting up/breaking down the campsite and when cooking outside and waste bags were provided. All of the employees were very nice and friendly. The store had a good selection of items, even some RV accessories. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff was very nice and courteous. I could see people keeping the place clean and orderly. I enjoyed my visit. The only issue I has was the weak WiFi speed.

Overall, it is a clean park, nice level sites and plenty of amenities. We were greatly disappointed that the pool was closed most of Friday because it needed to be treated. The only option for water was the lazy river for every guest in the park. The pool should have been taken care of before a summer weekend. We will be back and hope not to have this issue again.

Have always enjoyed this campground. Location is great. Clean and quiet. The only issue was the pool was pretty foggy after the weekend. Will always return tho.

Everything was great except for continuing problems with bathroom closures. The staff was very nice and always helpful. The lazy river was very enjoyable.

Such an amazing place. It is kept so clean. Nice and quiet at night. The nicest staff. This is our favorite place to camp.

We love the KOA and the live music! It would be nice to have music that didnt sound depressing. The music on the overhead speakers was more live than the band.

Really wonderful campground. We’ve come back around the same time year after year. Always clean, super friendly staff, and amazing amenities. Love the new sky decks! My only concern is the continued ant issues at the sites. Myself and young kiddos were bitten several times. I know your options for treatment may be limited but it’s something to explore in your grassy areas.

This stay went well. Have had others where staff was rude. The place was only half-full, and I think that made the staff and amenities all work really well. Love that they text information about activities and amenities. Very helpful!

Whomever is in charge of hiring the employees should get an a+ We have returned there for the 3rd straight year now The people there are my favorites Thanks to all of them for their great attitudes and their hard work in keeping the place clean See you next year ��

We were in Site# 332. The check in was at 1pm and Check out is at 11am.. We had Full hook- up with a concrete pull-through. We travel towing a 14 foot trailer and were able to fit both in our pull through site along with my jeep. The site was easy to level. Our site was not shaded with no trees. This was a larger sized lot with our neighbors not too close. The lot comes with a concrete patio with picnic table and built in grill box (no actual fire ring). We also got a Paw Pen site for our dogs. Some have a fire ring in the deluxe sites. There is free WiFi. They offer Cable TV and there are many channels. There is not a community outdoor kitchen but do have community fire pit. They sell wood for $8 a bundle. They do not provide garbage service at your site so you must walk to garbage dumpster. You are allowed to ride personal golf carts. They do not provide golf cart rentals. There is really not a need to have a Golf cart because it is a smaller campground. They do have a heated swimming pool with and a separate lazy river. They have a catch and release fishing Lake. There is a Playground. They also offer basketball sport court, pickleball, horseshoe, and cornhole. There is also a jumping pad. They have a decent general store (that sells frozen daiquiris). The streets within the campground are paved and good for riding bikes. There is a public access to the ocean across the street. They have cabins for rent. They have one shower house. The shower house has individual bathrooms with your own sink, shower, toilet. These are kept very clean. There is a laundry facility. It is a cash only facility, but they have a change machine. There are approximately 4 washers and 4dryers.It is approximately $2.25 to wash and $2.25to dry a load. They have a fenced in dog park. Mosquitoes were a small issue and bug spray was needed. We received daily texts outlining the activities for the day like bingo, happy hours, trivia night, tamale truck, Texas Hold Em, tie dying, and live music.

I came in late picked a spot and set up filled out paper put it in drop box , next morning went to office finished checking in , they were friendly informative and it's a beautiful campground no matter what site you get I like 105 best !

We hosted a small group rally at the Galveston Island KOA. We decided to stay for a full week due to their fantastic weekly rates. The manager Tammy and Director of Guest Services Marc made sure we were well taken care of. The park hosted events daily, and sometimes multiple events keeping us busy the entire week. Event coordinator Becky hosted most of these events with a great smile and attitude. The staff went as far as tailoring a couple of the events towards our preferences making it even better. We've been to Galveston Island KOA the past 3 years and each year they've added improvements making our stay even more enjoyable. The "cherry on top" was the fact they had great live music by national touring duo Thom Shepherd & Coley McCabe. I can tell you if you are looking for an affordable, clean, fun park for a rally, or family vacation, Galveston Island KOA is your place! Plenty to do within the park, or head right across the street to the crashing waves of the Gulf.
