We had a great time! Clean showers and bathrooms. We liked that we could walk to the beach or take a swim in the heated pool. I liked how quiet it was at night!

Weather wasn’t good but We still had so much fun. There was plenty to do thanks to the heated pool and lazy river. We will be back again soon.

Pleasantly surprised! They’ve thought of everything here for young and old. Definitely the nicest KOA I’ve stayed in. Very kid oriented too.

The cabins were clean and comfortable. KOA provided a safe relaxing atmosphere for families and even the pets. Heated Lazy stream and pool, Small basketball court, Pickleball, pet run and a catch and release fishing pond (take your own poles). They provided activities for the adults and the children. We had a great time visiting with the staff and quest. Specify any ADA needs they work with you.

The koa is very well kept, grass is green. The other campers were very kind and quiet. The sites are a decent size. I liked the pool (although it's definitely not heated as advertised...brrr), and the lazy river. There is also a small pond for fishing. The staff was kind and informative on arrival. It felt safe. I loved seeing everyone riding their bikes, and will be bringing ours next visit.

Although advertised as having Wi-Fi there was none. Therefore from and work and personal perspective we shall not stay again. The campsite and staff were excellent.

We loved our stay at the Galveston KOA and plan on returning next year as 'winter Texans'! The staff is amazing - always helpful and so friendly. The facilities are super clean and well maintained. And they have fun activities planned nearly every day. We met so many people who go back there for the winter months every year, and we can understand why. Highly recommend the Galveston KOA!

The cottage was not cleaned and totally ruined my stay. There was dog hair everywhere. The base boards were full of dust. The door rug was not shaken nor did the maid shake it when I asked for it to be cleaned. I felt very uncomfortable staying in an uncleaned cottage. I left a day early due to the uncleanliness of the cottage.

First time staying with KOA, we had a great stay. The campground is beautiful and well maintained. The KOA staff very friendly and helpful. We Loved the lazy river, pool and Hot tub. Really close to the beach and away from Galveston busy city. We will definitely be back again, plus we'll check out other KOA.

This is one of the best lots that we stayed in recent months (full-time RVers). Large lots with cement pads, blacktop roads etc. were nice. The proximity to the Gulf beach was perfect. Staff was helpful and kind. Enjoyed the stay.

Overall a great place with nice sized lots. Had some noisy neighbors until 2 a.m. which didn’t get shut down. When I reported it the next day the front desk seemed disinterested in my complaint. Disappointed in that regard hence the 3 rating but will probably be back next year.

We really enjoy this park. Close to the drive on beach, nice drive to Galveston. The park has lots of activities and the lazy river pool is very nice. Site was easy in and out. Had an issue with non working 50 amp on arrival but they quickly fixed it and all worked out. We will be back next year.

Once again, we’ve had a wonderful stay here. It’s very close to the beaches. The sites are all concrete, level and very spacious for even the largest RV. I Definitely enjoyed the heated pool and lazy river. There are so many activities for all ages who stay. The workers were all very gracious and helpful. Already booked for a longer stay next year.

The grounds are well cared for, parking pad areas are edged, grass manicured and everyone was very friendly. However, they don't seem to do much to enforce quiet hours which surprised us. They send a text out about 15 minutes before quiet time and that seems to be enough for them but it isn't enough. They should cruise through the park a few times the first hour of Quiet Hours and find out.

The best thing about the stay was the store was not over priced! No complaining to do really! We were looking to stay up later and party but it’s a very quiet place, so we respected the rules, as did everyone else! Clean sites, clean pool, and more!

Fantastic location . Coming from Nevada we really appreciated to spacious grass spaces with a country setting bordered by wide open pastures to view the sunset . The Beaches so much Freedom!!! Driving the 13 mile beach with our truck.Experienced a live SHARK catch and release. Horseback riding to ATVs and DOG friendly. Back at camp Really enjoyed live music around the pool. Thanks for texts too.

Our stay was pleasant. Most of the staff is super helpful and friendly. The activities leave a lot to be desired. This KOA is labeled a Holiday but it doesn’t appear they have an Events Coordinator, and all the events seem to be sales people trying to sell you something or a cost for participation. I believe it would be a lot more fun if they had cornhole tournaments, pickleball tournaments, etc

One of the best staffs in a KOA. Helpful and friendly. We enjoyed participating in some of the daily events planned each day. Nicely maintained park!

We stayed here for about 4 months. We fulltime and love this park. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The park is well maintained. It has two dog parks and a really nice catch and release fishing pond. The beach is close with easy access and it is far enough from Galveston City for a peaceful stay. There are all kinds of activities and live music. Highly recommend this park

We love this place. We stayed there a little over 4 months this time. .The staff are very friendly and helpful. The park is well maintained and there are tons of activities. The park is very pet friendly. Never had any problems with put full hook up...water, electricity, sewer, no problems. Didn't use any of the park amenities this time but, have in the past. They are really nice. We stayed on two different sites this time, by circumstance. Site 322 and then 303. We stayed in a 39 foot Winnebago Adventurer.

I stayed here with my family for 2 months and would have stayed longer if we could (they're understandably booked because it's such a great KOA & location). We've been full-timing in an RV with 3 kids & a dog for 2 years and have stayed at lots of parks nationwide… this is our favorite so far. The first month we were backed up to the catch & release pond & it was so cool for my husband & kids to just throw some lines in the water (the secret for us was shrimp from Bait Daddy's down the road). The second month we were backed up to the bay side & a field with cows off in the distance! Both sites made for the prettiest sunrises & sunsets. The playground is fun for all with an inflatable bounce pad (think bouncy house). The kids were never bored between the awesome pool & lazy river! There is a hot tub that is only 18+. So many activities offered (poker, movies, events like a duck race). And the best campworkers ever! Everyone from maintenance to the office staff were friendly & accommodating. My oldest loved spending his allowance on snacks & icecream from the camp store & chatting with the workers. They even helped him coordinate a surprise goodie basket for my birthday, just a lot of good-hearted people there (I'm tearing up as I write this, let me get back on track!)… it is about 20+ minutes down the main road from the bigger city of Galveston, but there is food/gas available closer than that. Minutes away from several public beach access points and I honestly preferred the beach at this end of the island to the crowded beach by the Pier. The sites are nice & concrete with large grassy side yards. We have a 40 foot 5th wheel & we're able to park both our tow vehicle & my daily driver at both sites. Definitely try a margarita from the camp store. We hope to visit Galveston again & will definitely stay here when we do.
