Very nice concrete sites between the beach and the bay. Lots of activities planned by the staff each day. My favorite being the Trivia Night Thursdays. Excellent store and overall fantastic park.

This was our 1st visit to this KOA and already plan to come back for a extended stay! The staff was so pleasant the park itself was beautiful clean clean clean.. Pool, Lazy River are heated and well kept. People we met here all stay for months that says it all doesnt it !! Only thing I'd recommend is spray for the lil pesty mosquitoes. Thanks again Galveston Island KOA for a GREAT stay.

While we are certainly "rookies" with our new to us motorhome, we literally can't come up with a single complaint or suggestion. Absolutely a beautiful resort, extremely clean and well maintained. The staff couldn't be more friendly and accomodating. Thank you!!

Park was very nice. Lots of planned activities. Site was excellent overlooking a catch & release pond and birding area. Beach within walking distance. Weather was quite windy day and night. Temps were below normal this year. Getting to town was a bit of a hike.

this is a beautiful park. it is 9 miles to the state park and 16 miles from the town of galveston. we rode our bikes to the state park. the park has some nice walking/biking trails as well as waterways you can kayak or SUP.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Lots of activities every day. Very clean and quiet. Large concrete sites. I would love to bring my grandkids next visit because they would love the lazy River and pool!

Everything was great with an exception of internet service, was Comcasts problem they said we like this campground. Great fishing ! 28" red fish. Bring bait ( cut bait).

Very beautiful grounds, super clean bathrooms, nice office and store. Friendly and helpful staff. Lazy river and heated pool looked amazing- can’t wait to come back again to use them as it was too cold the weekend we stayed to take advantage of them.

Very nice park with good amenities across the street from the beach. Friendly staff. Heated pool. Only down side is the Wi-Fi. It was very spotty and often not available

This was a last minute add-on ahead of other reservations. We stayed four nights and then had to leave for our next reservation (just up the highway). We absolutely loved our stay and were very impressed (might note it was our very first trip in our new to us motorhome). We got to our next campground and were extremely disappointed - so we spent one night and moved back to this KOA!

The park is picture perfect & level. The owners & staff are super friendly & helpful. We were there for their 2nd birthday as a KOA & there was lots to do to celebrate. You can see both sides of the island from just about any site. & the beach is just a short walk away. Truly a pleasure to stay there.

Beautiful park. Nice slab sites with plenty of activities for adults and kids. Lazy river, live music, heated pool and hot tub. Dog park, little store in the office for essentials. Beach access across the street with parking. Perfect last minute trip!

I understand that KOA charges for each person (although I am not a fan of this policy) but to limit the number of people allowed for one site to six is not right. My wife and I brought our 4 grandkids and two adult daughters to enjoy Mardi Gras parade (8 total people). My trailer sleeps 10. The upcharge for the six extra people was $120 for two nights. Nearly double the cost for two people.

We love this place. We stayed there a little over 4 months this time. .The staff are very friendly and helpful. The park is well maintained and there are tons of activities. The park is very pet friendly. Never had any problems with put full hook up...water, electricity, sewer, no problems. Didn't use any of the park amenities this time but, have in the past. They are really nice. We stayed on two different sites this time, by circumstance. Site 322 and then 303. We stayed in a 39 foot Winnebago Adventurer.

I stayed here with my family for 2 months and would have stayed longer if we could (they're understandably booked because it's such a great KOA & location). We've been full-timing in an RV with 3 kids & a dog for 2 years and have stayed at lots of parks nationwide… this is our favorite so far. The first month we were backed up to the catch & release pond & it was so cool for my husband & kids to just throw some lines in the water (the secret for us was shrimp from Bait Daddy's down the road). The second month we were backed up to the bay side & a field with cows off in the distance! Both sites made for the prettiest sunrises & sunsets. The playground is fun for all with an inflatable bounce pad (think bouncy house). The kids were never bored between the awesome pool & lazy river! There is a hot tub that is only 18+. So many activities offered (poker, movies, events like a duck race). And the best campworkers ever! Everyone from maintenance to the office staff were friendly & accommodating. My oldest loved spending his allowance on snacks & icecream from the camp store & chatting with the workers. They even helped him coordinate a surprise goodie basket for my birthday, just a lot of good-hearted people there (I'm tearing up as I write this, let me get back on track!)… it is about 20+ minutes down the main road from the bigger city of Galveston, but there is food/gas available closer than that. Minutes away from several public beach access points and I honestly preferred the beach at this end of the island to the crowded beach by the Pier. The sites are nice & concrete with large grassy side yards. We have a 40 foot 5th wheel & we're able to park both our tow vehicle & my daily driver at both sites. Definitely try a margarita from the camp store. We hope to visit Galveston again & will definitely stay here when we do.
