Stayed in a cabin, it was great! Although we brought our dog, there was so much dog hair under the beds, bunks and stuck in the broom, that I ended up cleaning it. BTW our dog doesn’t shed so it was there before we got there. Thank you

The best place to stay with the family and my dogs. I had a great time in the pool and the lazy River. The staff at the registration office are amazing and make you feel welcome. I am definitely coming back to Galveston Texas. Great beach rv resort.

Everything was great staff very friendly always cleaning but we had a paw pen sight and there were sticker (sand burs) growing through the turf and all around ste sight so just be careful and wear shoes so you don't get poked.

Very clean campground, well maintained, especially being near the Gulf. Staff was very friendly and helpful. This was our first trip to this KOA. In the past our family has stayed on Galveston Island many times and this is now our Go To campground. Amenities were great, private shower/Bathrooms, Pool, Lazy river, Laundry, well stocked store, lots of shady spots around the pool.

This is our second year to stay at Galveston KOA and are already planning next years trip. The staff is courteous, friendly and assists to the best of their ability. Our only complaint was the lack of cell service at the site we were at. We stay at the same site for the second year in a row and hardly ever had cell service to call or internet service. Not sure why it was difficult this year.

Nice clean park with lots to do. Strong wifi which is much appreciated. The dog park needs to be enlarged and added to the daily maintenance tasks for the staff due to others who don't clean up after their pets.

Stayed 2 nights. The campground was clean and well maintained. The staff was present and provided clear instructions. I would definitely stay there again.

Very nice park. Enjoyed the pool and the lazy river. Site are large and level. Didn’t use cable. WiFi is awful. Basically non existent. That’s the only reason I didn’t give a “10” and 5 stars. Will probably stay again.

We have spent many nights at Galveston KOA over the last 3 years. My only complaint is that the WiFi is spotty at best. It’s really a struggle to get on the Wi-Fi, or even have good cel phone reception. I love being disconnected as much as possible, but simply finding cell phone reception continues to be a struggle. Better Wi-Fi is definitely a need.

Great, fun place. We stayed in Cabin A on stilts. It was a really nice cabin with an awesome view.

The place was very clean. We were greeted by the campsite managers and provided with a map of the area. We used their pool, and lazy river, and drove a short distance to the beach. It is a bit of a drive back to the sea wall in Galveston. The place had all the hookups we needed. We will be back for a longer stay.

Our spot was great love the upper deck we did have a few issues one, the ants were terrible to your shower rooms were disgusting looks like somebody bathe the dog in there and three Wi-Fi would not connect. That being said the grounds are perfectly clean quiet we will try it again in hopes that at least the restrooms are clean in the answer under control

Great staff and facilities. Lots to see and do and really enjoyed being able to walk to the beach. The laundry room was spotless and we enjoyed cold beverages on the covered deck overlooking the pool just outside the laundry area. Perfect way to wash our clothes! We loved our first visit to Galveston Island KOA.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Galveston KOA! The facilities were clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The camp grounds were nice and folks respected the quite hours. We'll be back!!

We were very pleased again with our stay. We are always so impressed with how well the park is maintained. One suggestion, find a way to chill your pool and lazy river. I know I'd be more than willing to pay a few dollars extra per night to offset the the installation and cost of running a chiller. Other than than that, no complaints!

Great place to camp. Pool and lazy river are very nice. Great staff. Clean restrooms and showers. Awesome beach access to a drive on beach just south of the property. The only issue we had is our cell phone service was terrible, but I think that is a discussion we should have with our service provider. We will definitely return.

We had such a wonderful time! We loved how laid back and friendly everyone was. The grounds are kept so nice and we felt that, not only was the campground pet friendly, it felt like you took a lot of time and consideration for guests pets. Our kids loved the pool and lazy river and easy close access to the beach. We are already telling friends and looking to plan our next visit.

The site and facilities were very nice. The Wi-Fi was the worst that we have had at any other KOA. The free Wi-Fi we couldn’t get on at all. We called the number for the provider and they tried to help and couldn’t do anything. They even said that the paid Wi-Fi wouldn’t help. Our next trip to Galveston will be at another campground as we have to have internet.

Nice clean campground with spacious sites, easy access to beach and downtown Galveston. Nice staff there, very helpful. Nearby birdwatching refuges for serious birdwatching. Be sure to tour the older neighborhoods for beautiful old houses.

Great place to stay in Galveston with nearby beach access. Only things left wanting were grilling facilities as most of the grills were clapped out from the sea being so nearby and exposure to constant wind off the beach. The bathrooms are all elevated so if you have mobility issues, this may be daunting although there is a long ramp to access. The last thing was that there is no sidewalk access to the beach. Plan on walking alongside of the busy highway on the grass because not much of a shoulder and cars are going through pretty quickly. Outside those things the grounds were really nice and well kept, the staff were very affable and helpful, the pool area and lazy rivers were nice although we didn't use them as the weather was a bit rainy on and off. When our plans fell through at the state park, the KOA was a good alternate and would definitely recommend. Will likely come back at some point. Friendly people and friendly neighbors.

We stayed a week at this RV park from the end of June to July 4. Nice level RV pads. Most are 25'x65' with about 1/3 being pull thru's. This is the furthest "West End" RV park on the island about 3.5 miles from San Luis Pass. We enjoyed this location since it's quiet with less traffic and in close proximity to the beach access point 36 (less than a mile) which is the best beach on Galveston Island. From our site (#31) you get a peek of the water. Our 7 year old grandson really enjoyed the lazy river, and so did a lot of the adults. A nice place to soak & float while responsibly enjoying an adult beverage and making new friends. There is also a pool and hot tub. Movie night at the lazy river on the weekends. Also close by is the (very laid back) Sandbar Grille in The West End Marina. The Sandbar Grille is a great place to eat or just hang out and have a drink when coming off the beach. Will stay at this park again!
