FRESH AIR & FUN AWAITS! The closest KOA to beautiful Lake Michigan in southwest Michigan puts you within minutes away from several beaches in the St. Joseph and South Haven area. A wooded setting with mature trees throughout the park provide shade on hot summer days, and our family-friendly atmosphere makes us the place to be!

Paddlers will enjoy being centrally located to public access points along the Paw Paw River Water Trail. Perhaps you will choose to go to Lake Michigan to frolic on white sand beaches, visit beautiful lighthouses, spend time kayaking and paddle boarding or charter a fishing or expedition or sail boat cruise.

We are also in the heart of southwestern Michigan's fruit country, enabling guests to visit several orchards, u-pick farms, fruit markets, and award-winning vineyards. Other points of interest include antique shops and golf courses, as well as a children's museum, splash pad and carousel in St. Joseph. The area hosts many weekend festivals, and you're only about 8 miles from a casino.

Relax at our campground or be as active as you'd like to be at the pool, hot tub, bouncing on the Jumping Pillow, riding the fun bike rentals, playing mini golf, swinging at the playground, watching cable TV, surfing our free Wi-Fi and more. Planned, staff-led activities and ice cream socials held throughout the summer.

Guests will also enjoy our paved roads and General Store and Cafe where they will find unique gifts/souvenirs, toys, groceries, and more. We also proudly serve Hunt Brothers Pizza and wings along with hand-dipped ice cream and other great summer time treats!

From all points south, east or west: Take I-94: Take Exit 34 to I-196, then drive 4 miles north. Use Exit 4 (Coloma/Riverside), and turn left off the exit, heading east 200 yards, you'll see our sign on the left hand side of the road.

Silver Beach County Park - St. Joseph

The most popular beach spot to get the sand between your toes, take a dip in Lake Michigan, or enjoy reading a book and taking a nap on the shore while being lulled by the sights, sounds and smells of this freshwater ocean. In fact, in March of 2020, TripAdvisor rated included Silver Beach on their list of the Top 25 Beaches in the United States.  Minutes will turn to hours as you become fully immersed in a restful vacation-mode.


Hagar Township Park - Pet Friendly!

Traveling with your four-legged friend and wanting to go to the beach? Not a problem! Located just three miles from our campground, this pet-friendly park allows "fido" to come with you, and provides a great place to spend an afternoon or take in a Lake Michigan sunset.

The park features paved parking, porta johns, wooden walkway and stairs to the beach, shaded picnic area with metal grills, playground equipment and dog bag dispenser.

Park closes at 11pm.
