I’ve been stayin here since by grandpa used to bring me as a child, brought my child when she was young, I’m still comin here as an older lady with grown children. Feels like home away from home.

The KOA says it offers EARLY check in but this was not the case. No one ever answered the phone for 2 days that I called. When we arrived the women up front were kind but neither could tell me anything about a cabin being ready. Cabin was as it stated it would be. Bathroom and showers were very clean. But under the beds was debris from previous occupancies. 8/10 recommend.

Check was nice the place was quite. The shower area needs help . No where to sit my things down or even sit down to take my shoes off , showers could us a little moving air as mold is inside and some modern toilets the hand dryer didn't work . The sinks where nice and the water was hott

Check-in/Check-out were very easy & quick.Thanks for having dog-friendly options!On-Site fishing was super cool,we saw plenty of trout. We didn't enjoy the early, loud landscaping sounds around 8am on Friday morning (gas powered leaf blowers right outside our window). Take the short drive over to Mingo Falls and enjoy the local beauty (walking the road is sketchy-we tried & don't recommend that).

Deck could not use due to boring bees- bee poop on all outdoor furniture, couldn’t use it. Heater in bedroom would randomly kick on, when off. Bugs in bathroom by sink, little black ones Bedroom hot, living room cold Good service when called about heat Well stocked with necessities, great location for fishing. We love KOA cherokee. We chose the 6 person cabin for our group of 6 for this stay with bathroom and kitchen. It was nice to have all the things you need at your fingertips from towels to body wash. It was cramped sleeping for us. The smaller cabins with the set of bunck beds works best for our family.The pool was pretty murky a swell as the hot tub( I think because there were alot of people)

We normally don't have an issue ever and this time there were people flying up and down the roads on electric bikes and dirt bike type things, hot tub was dirty and didn't turn on, and indoor pool wasn't warm. In our bathroom(women's) one of the stalls was without toilet paper for 2 days. also wish the beds weren't so hard.Although this experience wasn't as good as normal, I hope next stays better

A lot of the things for kids to do didn’t get turned on till after 12 o’clock and the constant dog barking all day was annoying. First time I’ve ever been here and things wasn’t done like they normally are. Hopefully KOA will do better when we come back memorial Day weekend.

Everything was wonderful! We rented a cute little cabin for a night, and couldn't have asked for more! It was right by bathrooms and had easy in and out access for the truck! All the facilities were well kept up, amenities were a great surprise, and staff was all so kind and helpful! Cannot wait to book our next trip here.

Our cabin number 228 had a persistent foul smell in the living room around the sink area. One chair had thick sticky stuff on it and there was what looked like spaghetti sauce on a wall. The corner by the table had dirt and hair in it. We had to buy some room air freshener to cover up the oder. The cabin needs a good cleaning.

First of all the first night the bathhouse near the office had no toilet paper in all 3 stalls in the women's bathroom.they never clean the women's restroom cause there was cigarette butts in the shower stall and cob webs in the corner of first toilet stall.then my mother in law ask about ceramics and the lady working Wednesday 3:45 told her she didn't have time to open it. employees sped on carts

We enjoyed our stay but had a couple challenges. The first morning we spotted a mouse/rat exit our cabin through a vent in the bunk room floor. Also the hot water in the kitchenette was turned off at the valve due to a leak. I mentioned this at the office and someone even asked if they could enter the cabin to place a trap but we couldn’t tell that anything was done.

[email protected]. We stayed over Easter weekend. The hot tub jets didn't work,it was Grey and tiles were caked with filth.We were not able to use them. It took a text, call and a trip to office to get propane for the grill. A charge I have never had before. We have stay there before and it was great. A holiday and spring break that was disappointing. I truly don't know if we will return.

We usually have a really great experience. This time though the pool was closed down most of the only full day we were there plus there was a burnban to where we couldn't have a fire

Great place. Since it was spur of moment stay…we just did camping cabin. We had no sheets or towels, pillows. Was able to rent sheets. But that was all.

We love it every year. Wish the jets had worked in the hot tub and we would love another basketball goal. All in all we can’t complain. The kids LOVE it!!

Was not happy with how unclean the cabins were they needed dusting bad and the floors turned my kids feet black I asked for a mop and they did come out and mop but it didn’t seem like it helped. But I did enjoy the camp ground and the activities for the kids

Always enjoy staying at this KOA but I was concerned about a lot of dogs running around and not on a leash, had a couple of dogs come to my campsite where my dog was at and she was on the leash, it's always been a rule to keep them on a leash at all times.

Every year at least 2 times me and my five girls stay in cabins and have fun and have had no problem also I come with grand kids several times a year always clean helpful .first time ever having a complaint about my stay which was not the staffs fault but we got bed bug bite and was told that we would get a call after we left and didn't put everything in bags they gave me and had togo spend 2wash

Although we had to cut our trip by a day, we continue to always enjoy our trips to KOA Cherokee. Beautiful area and so much fun.

Love the campground and the fishing ponds and river. Staff is excellent. We did a cabin instead of our camper this year. While we enjoyed the extra space the cabin didn't meet expectations. Didn't have usable pots/pans, not enough utensils for 4 people, no can opener, missing pieces of wood in bathroom and master closet, needed a deep clean, ac smelt of mold and dog hair was everywhere.

I was in cabin 303 near the back there was a curtain missing at the bunk beds and the bathroom back there was nasty didn’t look like anyone cleaned it the hole three days we were there

Had a great stay. My only concern was the pool area. Unsupervised kids. Small babies in hot tub. I actually called after hours when kid was bleeding on pool deck after horseplay. Staff was nice and extended our stay on Easter. New renovations look great Our cabin had minor issues. Door sticks. Screen broke. And no latch on screen door. Gaps to outside. Had spiders in cabin.

I understand the fire ban but no fires was a disappointment. Cabin had stink bugs, and yes it’s camping. Bathtub drained slow, gas grill did not work. AC in bedroom was loud and had a warning light on. We were not told to not use microwave and it started smoking. Fish guts on the ground from tournament. All this while prices keep increasing.

Great stay overall!! Minor issues with cottage such as screen door wouldn’t stay closed & no way to latch it shut. Bathroom door needs repaired so it shuts smoothly.

Always awesome! We’ve been here before and look forward to coming back again. Beautiful setting, very helpful, the people are amazing. From the girls in the office to the guys on the golf carts, everybody very friendly and helpful.

We love the campgrounds but the cabins are not being cleaned very well. We walked in to sticky floors in kitchen with obvious spills that weren’t cleaned, food bits sticking out in the drain, bugs and dirt on windows and blinds are disgusting. For the money we pay I expect it to be clean. The blinds were chewed up by dogs and it was a pet free cabin. Getting disappointed at the cleaning crew as

Our cabin was nice but we requested extra towels to wash with for the next day but no one brought any. We even put the used one in a plastic bag outside. Also, we purchased one of the Smores bundle and the staff never advised us that there was a fire ban in place and even sold us the wood.

Our stay was exceptional. My fiancé had never been to Cherokee. Before we left he was already planning another trip down to fish. He said this will be a yearly trip, hopefully every March and September!!

Stayed in cabin 502. Multiple issues. Refrigerator barely cooling, freezer frosted. Heater in bathroom did not work. Shower curtain was moldy. Screen door wouldn't shut. Light/fan in bedroom only had a pull for the light, so you couldn't use light without fan. The air conditioner was filthy. Sad, we are KOA Rewards members and like to stay here but the last few times have been disappointing.

On first fishing visit to Cherokee (5/30/2026) and had little information. Asked at office and Chantelle was very helpful and shared what she could. Very easy going and helpful.
