This is a very clean KOA with very friendly staff, we love coming up here to stay when we come up to ride our motorcycle's in the mountains.

Staff was very helpful. Restrooms were clean. My only complaint was, we stayed in a RV with a dog pen. I wish the grass could have been cut.

Everyone I spoke with on the phone or in person, wonderful! The cabin was great and in a picturesque location, and the rate was fair. My mother and I had a nice, relaxing stay and hope to be able to visit again. Thank you, Cherokee!

No hot tub that works around 3 in afternoon and pump wasn't working water cold backside of campground trashy Shower to small and dark not safe Need a family shower so two people can go at same time for safety and more lights People working there should be more knowledgeable Got in trouble for someone else dog that was in our parking spot when we came out driver from campsite though we was let

Friendly staff, clean cabin. The views are amazing. The only hiccup was when you were taking a shower the water would go cold and warm. Otherwise everything was perfect

I’m part of a group who stays at this campground every year. We love it there! The staff are so friendly. This time I was missing a window screen on the front of my cabin. I asked someone if they had one and she said she didn’t think so but would check. 10 minutes later there were two men saying they didn’t have a screen that fit but they nailed a piece of screen up for me.

Many dogs in the camp ground that were walking without a leash and the owners did not pick up after them. When I inquired about a good campsite to reserve, a few were mentioned as being grassy and shaded. I reserved a site based on that information, only to find the site was 75% dirt. All of that being said, the staff was very nice. Hopefully everything is work in progress.

Beautiful area. But we had to leave early the cabin has black mold in the a/ c bathroom wall and showers causing our eyes to itch and other issues. My wife is on oxygen this mold caused her addictional breathing issues we bought bleach but there was way to much to safely remain. I turned the shower curtain in to the covered which was covered in mold. The exhaust fan did not work in the bathroom

The grill would not start full of caked on grease could not use . Activities not posted could not do a lot we hoped to do as we were large group several cabins have been going several years from Iowa Florida Tennessee not sure we will use this koa next year very disappointing. Had to clean inside windows as using blinds so nasty did not want to touch .

This is probably our favorite KOA we've stayed in. We always enjoy ourselves here. The campground has so much for the kids. it's well kept up and clean. There are some permanent sites in the back that are pretty trashy looking but it's easy to never see them. But we come here at least twice a year. Super friendly staff and big, large flat sites.

Chairs had to have person come put them together as pieces sticking up fridge died people did bring one out quickly thank you. Candy gum hair all around under furniture and bed area spider webs around inside cabin the grill so hard to start then so full of old grease very nasty . Over all good place to stay -the store is under staffed and has short operational hours --when you call to reserve it can be a task to speak to a live person. This trip the internet was having issues and service was not great.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Bathhouses are clean. The only issue we had was with another camper not following the rules about dogs being leashed. The dog chased myself and my dog down. Even after that she still did not leash her dog. Other than that, we had a fantastic stay!

Very nice place. Had an electric hook issue on check in and they got us moved to a different site immediately to accommodate us. Very nice store too.

Loved the Paw Pen site. Close to Smokey Mtn National Park, Blue Ridge Parkway and Harrah’s casino.

This year September 10-12, 2026, marked our 12th reunion & our 8th consecutive year at your campground for our group of D&M Farm Kennel Chowdren family members. We thank you and your staff, as everyone expressed great happiness with your staff and how courteous, polite, friendly & professional all were to our group members! Great Basecamp to explore Smoky Mountains National Park. The staff was friendly. A quick dip in the pool and soak in the hot tub was nice end to a day of hiking. The bathrooms and showers were clean. The sites were typical for an RV park. A bit close together for my liking but that is the norm.

I couldn’t turn on my bedroom light. I couldn’t reach the pull chain,, hairdryer, and nightlight in bathroom don’t work. Front screen door is warped don’t shut you can’t lock it either and your barbecue grill handles are not put on correctly to the right temperatures.,, I’ve been camping here for 38 years at this KOA campground

Nice place to stay and love that it’s dog friendly. Next time will get a gate next to our site, would have but did not see any information on website for these spots. Would highly recommend and it’s definitely family friendly as well. Michelle

Was a quiet weekend and the campground was nice. It did rain but we made the most of our time there. I think it’s a great game ground for children.

It was amazing with a very relaxed atmosphere, the only suggestions that i have is either put paper towels in the bathrooms or make sure that the dryers work. Can't wait to comeback

When we arrived we didn't like the site we had so we asked to move to a different site. They were very gracious and accommodating in getting us what we were looking for. I would definitely stay here again! Thank you to the all of the staff for being excellent at your job!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The person who checked us in was great for only being on the job 4 days and even got me a Tribal fishing permit. I forgot to put the awning on our motorhome up when we left and ruined it when it hit a tree. I called the emergency line and someone came out to help me take it off and dispose of the remains so we could get going. I did not get his name. Many thanks.

Overall is a beautiful campground. The 2 ladies at checkin were awesome. Very respectful. There was a group 5 people, 4 loud motorcycles 2 sites down. At 630am they would start their bikes and be loud. This happened on both mornings. Then loud at their site. No respect. Also the road that runs outside the grounds is sometimes a bit noisy. Would we stay again? Not sure.

I've been to Cherokee Koa several times. I love the updates. However for a holiday weekend I was disappointed that on Sunday there wasn't a lot of activities for kids. No tie dye, no train ride, no foam party, no live music. Very different from last year. With the nightly cost for an rv site over a holiday weekend I expected more.

Everything was ok with ONE big exception. How can you have a store with so much stuff and NOT have lighter fluid for tent campers who want to get a fire going? We all know that firewood in that area is wet naturally and does not burn well. How do you sell wood and no options to get it to burn?

Campground is always amazing! I love that it is tucked away and off the river. Quiet unless the ice cream man comes by or the live music is playing. LOVED BOTH! Staff is friendly and the trolly picking up inside the park makes visiting downtown Gatlinburg very easy.

It was very disappointing on a holiday weekend when the campground was full that so many things closed at 5 o'clock or nothing at all planned for the kids. Sunday was terrible. No snack bar, no train... Been coming to this campground for many years and have never experienced a resort that had so many things closed on a holiday for sure

We were shocked to find a bathroom filled with active mold. All over the walls and ceiling. I have video. The ceiling fans had 1/4 in of dust and couldn’t be turned on because of that. The one bedroom smelled of a dog. And the WiFi wouldn’t allow tv or phone time hardly. We didn’t mind not having tv and phone service during the day but the evening would have been nice

Really enjoy the quiet setting. Close to town for shopping and groceries. Tons of things for kids to do. Convenience store open 9-5 if needed

This place is great our cabin was clean and neat.(except for the stink bugs) Plenty of places to fish if you want to Always someone doing something to keep the camp ground clean

Wwe stayed in a cabin. Cabin was nice, alittle small. The mattresses were less than desirable. Overall and great place to stay!
