Love the cabins at KOA. This was our third stay at Cherokee KAO. The only complaint I have is that they will not furnish enough towels and washcloths. Two people for 4 nights and only 6 towels and washcloths allocated. When we asked for l more of each they said they could not give us those. . I don't necessarily object to not having a clean towel every day but a washcloth is another matter.

It was an amazing stay.We were in a cabin that was so clean. Conventiley located near so many things to do. The staff at the store were more than friendly.It was such an amazing first stay, that we signed up for the KOA awards program. We truly can't wait to get back.

I was here with 3 grandchildren and they had a blast. Our cabin was super fun and cozy. Our only issue is that the power kept tripping when the guests in the next cabin were running a few electrical things. This is the most scenic KOA I’ve been to and the staff were extra pleasant!

Had no heat or anything else in the cabin. If the website had posted that type of cabin didn't have heat would not have reserved it. Other cabins like the one that was reserved had heat but not this one. Tried to get refund but was told should have upgraded. Could have at least gave a discount or refund since the site did not mention there was no heat. No sheets and it was 30 degrees thst night.

Stay was good. This is our second time here and ironically in the same cabin. There are a few issues with the cabin that needs to addressed. We passed it onto the front desk. Overall a good place to relax. Just do t try checking in 30 minutes early. They will turn you away

I love this koa but this stay wasn’t very pleasant. The temperature was cold so I reserved the cabin with power, which had a heater but did not really heat anything ! Was a restless night to say the least.

We enjoyed our stay even in the cold lol. It was convenient to the ski place in Maggie valley. It was quiet and clean and we enjoyed it very much. Can’t wait to go back

Mostly good! I reserved another week while there. We wanted to look at it to see what the cabin looked like. We were told that we were not allowed to look at it. Seemed odd!! When I reserved it I put in for 6 adults. When I asked about seeing it they said it wouldnt hold 6 adults. So Now I am commited to a Cabin that wont even hold 6 adults! Probably wil be cancelling that week now.

Three issues must be improved before we can consider returning. 1. The s water supply handle & valve must be insulated. Ours on site 194 froze Sat nite & we were without water until 10 to 11 am Sunday. 2. The cable TV connection is on the ground---so low--one has to get one's knees to even see the connection. 3. The WiFi connection requires an in house router? We only stayed 2 nites--paid 3.

Everything was great except the pots in 221 were very scratched and need to be replaced. Scratched pots and pans harbor bacteria and can get you sick. Also, the cabin only had a 6” frying pan (scratched). A 10” frying pan should be in every cabin.

Check in was super easy. Lots of improvements completed at front of campground. Our deluxe cabin had a terrible smell. It did have a new deck and nice fire pit area. Missing screen on window.

The only thing i could complain about is the blinds in the cabin have a hole in them and its in the bedroom facing other cabins so had to cover to change clothes but other than that we had a ball. We loved it.

staff did not know what was going on-was told we could get money back for wood stack and upon check out was given a hard time.

It was a good stay, loved the location of the cabin. It would have been nice if the heat had been turned on for us it was quite chilly and took a while to warm up. Also, there was a problem with the water which took an hour or so to fix. It would have been nice to have been given an update.

We absolutely love staying at Cherokee KOA! We don’t live far away but staying here, we can do so many of the things we love instead of cramming or only picking one cool thing to do. This KOA is gorgeous, the staff is always friendly and honestly you don’t even have to leave to have a great time. We will absolutely see you again soon!

The lady who checked us in and out was the best she was so nice and went over everything about our stay the best!!! And as always had a wonderful time I have been coming to this camp ground as a child now bringing my grandkids ���

One of the cabins had a maintenance issue, so they called me immediately and accommodated us to an upgraded cabin with no extra fee! They’re were so nice and Jennifer was so helpful and very pleasant at the front desk. I’ve been going with my family the last 15 years and will definitely continue my yearly visits. Thank you KOA!

We were disappointed that the blinds were so distroyed in the cabin and anyone walking around outside could have seen in. we had to hang up the sheets over the bedroom blinds so no one could see in due them being torn and big hole and also another one over livingroom for same reason. Please replace blinds in cabin 12

Nice updates to decks and grill. Unit showing some wesr and tear inside, but always enjoy the cabins there. Will definitely be back.

Several times in the past I rented one of the small cabins and the floors were so nasty. Bare feet are so dirty after walking on it, and if water drips on the floor and you wife it up with a paper towel, its black. This time we came the heated indoor pool was too cold. My daughters lips and feet turned purple and we were all three shaking when trying to get use to the water.

Very rainy weekend so we were thankful for the indoor heated pool. Sad that the hot tub was out of service. It would be wonderful if you were to install some form of ambient heat so that when the little ones get out of the pool they don't turn blue in winter. It would need some form of proximity sensor or perhaps a timer like hot tubs have so you don't pay to heat an empty building. Thanks.

We rented two cabins a two bedroom deluxe and a loft with extra bedroom. They both can sleep up to six people. Both cabins were clean, warm, comfortable and right by the water. The kids loved the indoor pool. Since it was winter when we stayed the outdoor pool and jacuzzi was closed. There are so many outdoor activities for kids that we unfortunately wasn’t able to do because it rained.

Our recent cabin stay left much to be desired. The cleanliness of the cabin, including the beds and towels, was subpar, with noticeable stains and a lack of hygiene. The limited space within the cabin made it uncomfortably cramped, and the absence of assigned parking added unnecessary stress. Furthermore, the front office lacked a sufficient variety of snacks.

this stay good but in past stays not very friendly if room is ready will not let you check in till 4 so i arrive at 4 and room is not ready i could be more understanding if in the past i was able to check in when ready most of the time i now stay at local hotels cheeper and more acomading

We had a great time and were mostly by ourselves the whole time. It was a bummer that the hot tub was out of commission during our stay, but the kids still had fun in the indoor pool. Staff was friendly. My only critique is that the spigots should be insulated for the camper sites. Our spigot froze on second night there.

We had the BEST stay at Cherokee Holiday KOA! We had a large group all book together for a double birthday weekend celebration, and they did not disappoint! They provided an area for us to do bday party, they even set up tables, blew up balloons, provided extra things like table cloths for us. They accommodated everyone and made it the best trip for our 40 guest that came! 10/10 experience for us!

This was THE BEST KOA I've ever stayed at. The campsite was beautiful, so well kept. Clean, safe, friendly. The river running through camp was so calming and lovely. It was the best stay!! Thanks for a great trip!

This is a great KOA and camping spot in general! The staff were extremely helpful from pre-arrival to late check-in, and all onsite needs once we were there. We rented a deluxe cabin which was well appointed. The location is just far enough out of downtown Cherokee to be quiet and serene yet just a few minutes drive and you're right at the Oconolufte visitor's center in GSMNP. We requested help with getting a cooking grill grate added to our campfire ring and not only did the office staff kindly request it, but it was already swapped out by the time we walked back to our cabin.

The staff was very pleasant and the facilities were maintained well. There are plenty of things to entertain the kids with onsite, the fishing was good and location provided nice views. We definitely had a great time and certainly plan on returning!
