Been staying at this campground for many years now and I have to say it was in not good condition. The outdoor pool was filled with leaves that had been there for quite a while. It had not been cleaned for a while. I never saw any KOA person cleaning any of the restrooms while we were there. Our bathroom was out of toilet paper. Never refilled and none of us could figure out how to spin the holder

Great grounds very clean and well kept i stayed in cabin 251 was perfect! I have a few complaints like the bedding which is average for koa,s camping cabins but it was awful also the showers are kind of a joke you get a 1ft by 10 inch area to put your stuff and trying to get dressed in there was almost impossible being the entire floor was wet and the walls because of no venting so a soap dish

Lets start by saying this is one of our favorite campgrounds. But this last trip wasn't great. We started in a cabin that wasn't clean and the farthest away from the dog park. We did get moved so I'm grateful for that. The bathrooms close to the new cabin were never cleaned. There was mold in the mens showers. I hope this will be addressed by the next time we are there because we love Cherokee KOA

A 4.8, if it was available. Clean, well-cared for, great location. Concerns: 1) nearly fell in the shower; no floor treads or mat. slipped and crashed into the shower wall., 2) could use a new mattress on the pull-out bed. Could feel lots of springs. 3) After a 13-hour drive, code did not work. Thankfully, found the night guy and he got us in. But overall a great experience and place to stay.

Loved the stocked trout pond 10/13-10/15 and the river cabin. Although could be a little cleaner w black specs on pillows both rooms

The cabin could be upgraded, but the campground is awesome! Lots of spaces and many on the river. They were all decorated for Halloween and had events for the kids and families. Great service and store.

Campers were very loud and rowdy too many people in campsite. Campsite crowded most camp sites filled Lots of children and events for them to enjoy Not many people fishing. Not many fish caught If you want plenty of people around this campground is for you. Not relaxing at all.

LOVE this KOA.. will definitely be back for a longer stay.Hopefull they will update the showers other then that EXCELLENT.

been coming up to Cherokee KOA for 35 years and this trip was the worst, to many cabins packed together, not very clean, I had (3) cabins for employee TEAM building and my deluxe had black mold that was blowing out of our heat/air units and landing on our bed linens which made me very leary of getting sick. Other than that we have always loved the river and the fall leaves and to be outside.

HAD A GREAT STAY! ALL MOVING VEHICLES SHOULD HAVE TO ADHERE TO THE 5 MPH SPEED LIMIT. KIDS ON MOTORCYCLES/E-BIKES, SCOOTERS, ETC. TRAVELING AT HIGH RATE OF SPEED! CHILDREN EVERYWHERE, IT ISN'T SAFE. ALSO, WE COULD NOT REBOOK OUR CABINS FOR NEXT YEAR BEFOER WE LEFT, SOMEONE HAD RENTED THEM BEFOER WE HAD OPPORTUNITY. THE POLICY HAS ALWAYS BEEN YOU COULD REBOOK BEFORE YOU CKD OUT!

Had a great time with grandkids. I would have rated the highest if it weren't for the kids allowed to dangerously fly up and down the road in the campground. We saw a gas powered mini bike & 4 wheeler. High powered electric motorcycles were literally drag racing in front of our camper. The campground speedlimit is 5mph for a reason. Definitely be back once more but not if this isn't addressed.

Great camping. Office hours not sufficient for a full campgroup. Should stay open. Until 7 pm during busiest times. Wood over priced. $10 a bundle. Twice the cost of everybody else.

Everything was great except for the mix up on the campgrounds end in posting on Facebook book the Halloween schedule for Saturday that was way off for the costume contest. This resulted in us missing it because it actually occurred earlier than advertised which was a huge disappointment as we had a lot of effort into the costumes. I would have given a 5 star rating if it were not for this.

The campground was very nice. We really enjoyed the hot tub after a long hike. The bathhouse was not the best. There was mold in the showers which freaked me out a bit and the toilets were never clean. They weren't the worst, I just thought they would be better for being a KOA.

We had a great time! The KOA was very accommodating & let us alter our arrival date to the next day due to a hurricane & not wanting to tow during that.

Been there many times, dirtiest bathroom and showers i have ever seen. 2 of them stunk of urine with toilet paper strung across floors that stayed the whole 3 days of our stay.

Great campground! I would like to see some fall activities that are not Halloween related - pumpkins, harvest, etc. Not all kids like scary Halloween related activities.

I’m very disappointed as I have come here for years. Bathrooms were extremely dirty, out of toilet paper and soap. And my card was charged extra for a charge I did not authorize. Iv been going here for 15+ years and they have gone downhill. I would not recommend.

When we arrived to our cabin, the bathroom door was very difficult to open or close. We immediately got someone to come over and fix the problem. They were very pleasant and had the door fixed within 10 min. The pullout couch definitely needed to be replaced. We never opened it up, but the seat itself is very warn down and peeling. Couch sinks and hard to get out.

Everything was great, great weather, good fishing, etc. (Cabin) was good,but the floors need a good cleaning, they was dirty, made her socks dirty after walking on them.

The only complaint I have is that under aged drivers were driving golfcarts and children were riding bicycles at night with no lights on them. There was a young adult riding a dirt motorized bike every night night after dark without lights too—very dangerous.

We stayed in a camping cabin that had no working smoke detectors, several ripped screens, both door and window. The ceiling fans were filthy. The camp store only being opened 9-5 is very unhelpful. And the bathrooms.....FILTHY! The location is the only positive for this campground. KOA has a much higher standard than this. We were very disappointed.

We stayed in the little camping cabins on the river! It was just myself and my children. Check in was quick and easy. The bathroom closest to us was out of order the entire time so that was difficult with the young kids having to walk to the other end of the park each time they needed to use the restroom. Other than that it was great! We had a great time and looking forward to our next visit!

This by far has always been our favorite place to go RV'ing. My daughter and her family always RV next to us and it is so enjoyable and relaxing. The staff is VERY friendly and helpful in making our stay the best

I realize you can't change it, but he road noise was terrible. Also, on Wed. while we were out and about they blew leaves. When we returned there was a mess on and under the table and there was dust and grit blown into our tent.

I've stayed here twice. Last year was very nice. This year was NOT WORTH THE MONEY ! Every night until 1-2 am kids were on their bikes yelling, someone playing loud music and cars driving through the empty space next to me. THE RULES ARE NEEDED but are useless without enforcement. I spent a lot of money for a campsite I could have had in a much cheaper location. As of now I won't be back.

Went with Grandchildren and friends and there Grandchildren. They loved Fishing wish the pool was opened it surprised us it and hot tub where shutdown. We were there during the weekday. Not much activity as the weekend.fan in bedroom didn’t work or reading light and one of the bathroom lights were out.

Great stay even with the rainy weather. Kids still got to trick or treat and enjoy activities. No matter what the weather is or what’s going on we always have the best time in Cherokee. We will keep coming back every October for the Halloween festivities.

We have stayed there several times and have always enjoyed it, however this recent stay we were disappointed in the lack of attention payed to the bathrooms. They were never cleaned or serviced, paper all over the floor and out of toilet paper I the stalls.

Really enjoy the quiet setting. Close to town for shopping and groceries. Tons of things for kids to do. Convenience store open 9-5 if needed

This place is great our cabin was clean and neat.(except for the stink bugs) Plenty of places to fish if you want to Always someone doing something to keep the camp ground clean

Wwe stayed in a cabin. Cabin was nice, alittle small. The mattresses were less than desirable. Overall and great place to stay!
