Would have rated a 5, but only a 4 rating due do low hanging tree limbs and site 184 having a broken concrete slab. Stayed in sites 183 and 184. When leaving had to drive down street with low hanging limbs that dragged across top of motorhome. Site 184 is in need of concrete repairs.

Great RV park with a lot of activities for the kids. Very clean and quiet! We have stayed before here and I’m sure we’ll be back!

Campground is nice, however the bathrooms need more attention. I noticed one sink that was clogged for at least 2 days, and another was marked out if service our entire time. At the price we paid, I expect regular cleanings and everything to be in good working order. The campground was nearly full on Friday, which means cleaning is needed more frequently.

We rented a large site with a dog pen. Very expensive and very disappointed. Grass was very tall, had sandspurs, and fleas. Hard poop in the grass when we arrived. I cleaned it up. Took photo's but can't post them here. Kept my dog on the concrete part of the site. Reported the fleas and the manager said she would have it sprayed with ant killer. Not sure that would help? The staff was very nice.

The biggest disappointment is there’s no dish sink to wash dishes. Washing dishes in an appropriate place is super important in such a heavy bear area. The clerk in the store said to use a spigot, which is the opposite of good bear practice. There are many signs about bear awareness, but this is a huge oversight. It also just makes being on a budget feel very unwelcome.

The staff were exceptionally good. The campsite not so much. The picnic table was filled with mushy persimmons I could not control, so I was constantly stepping on them, and couldn’t really use the table. If i cleaned in evening, by morning there were more. The hot tub bubbles didn’t work, and the two showers in the indoor pool area also didn’t work. Prices too high for primitive.

Camp makes one feel as they are boondocking. Very rustic. Has ALL amenities a family could want. Just a 10 minute drive to attractions, shops and food. Very clean. Staff was great.

We were given a very nice cabin right on the creek. The cabin itself was great and we had no issues with it. We noticed that a lot of money was spent on Halloween decorations, and we found ourselves wishing that a little more had been spend on cleaning the bathhouse!

I love to stay here but it seems as if things are not getting done. Dog waste cans full never empty the whole time we were there. Trash in laundry room full. Porch light in our cabin didn’t work. Dimmer light in cabin flickered. Internet isn’t strong enough for everyone to access without slowing down or losing connectivity.

Always enjoy my stay in Cherokee. Don’t watch much tv, but could not of if wanted too, since you had cable shut off. Internet was hardly available because of that. Should of dropped us a email before we came to warn us. You did about the ponds. Still would of stayed there and hope to again next year.

Cherokee was fun and so was the KOA and the staff who worked in the front office. The manager was the best, so nice and friendly. Bath houses needs cleaning, we stayed for seven days and the toilets in the men's restrooms were not cleaned. I know because I lifted the seats to check. The toilet paper was not fixed so you could get to it in the dispenser. The showers never got washed down.

Enjoyed it all in all but the bathrooms and showers neither were cleaned the whole time we were there. No soap and the soap dispensers in the men or women’s bathroom. On the day of checkout, an older gentleman came with a spray bottle on a golf cart like he was going to clean the bathrooms, but did not just put toilet paper in on the last day and left The bathrooms and showers area were disgusti

This was the PERFECT Smoky Mtn getaway! Being on the south side of the park meant needing to drive back thru for most things, but it was so worth it to be in a quiet town and a fun campground. The amenities were awesome and our cabin was great. The only (very minor) bummer was the hours for the office. 9-5 meant we never made it up there since we got out early and got in after that every day we were there.

This is my favorite camping spot when we go to Cherokee and the Smokey mountain area! It's a little further north from the main town part of Cherokee but it's nice and peaceful! Theres a river around the campground and it's nice to go and explore! The rv spots are nice and spacious with most having a small lawn area with room for chairs and such! There's also a few extra things like a small playground, bounce pillow, and a pool! Unfortunately last time when I went the pool was down for maintenance but it was definitely cold enough to not want to swim anyway! The koa is in nice distance of the Smokey mountains and a few other waterfalls!

Been coming to this location since I was a kid. Changed a lot but for the better and love it. Definitely will be coming back and bring friends to enjoy the experience. **make sure the cabin cleaners make sure everything is clean. Animal hair all in the pulpit couch sheets, windows dirty** cabin 228**
