Small deluxe cabin was perfect for our family. Great place for kids to run around, play and ride bikes. Close to many trails, waterfalls and local attractions.

We stayed in a camping cabin on the river. It was nice and relaxing. The only thing different I wish was there were more plug ins in the cabin The game room and pool area were not so clean. Other than that it was a great stay. We had 4 boys and they loved every minute of it. We will be back.

Very nice campground. Plenty to do for children if you have some. Only one issue. They ran out of firewood the day we checked in. We got the impression that it was a one time mistake. We will definitely return.

The people you have working in the store are GREAT, WONDERFUL & SO HELPFUL! The only complaint I have is the little cabin needed a little work and a little cleaner. But all & all we loved it!

Overall campground cleanliness and upkeep has gone down hill over the past 4 years we have stayed. Overgrown grass near bathrooms and mechanical equipment parked next to cabins. Cabins need upgraded and lots of repairs. Our was moldy. Larger cabin had broken faucet and luke warm water. Position ivy growing in front of our cabin near the creek which needs to be sprayed. Overall, underwhelming trip.

We come every year and look forward to it every single time . We just got home yesterday and are looking forward to coming back. All the staff was overly nice. NOT a complaint but I do think it should be noted we stayed for a week in cabin #240- it was very nice but when we turned the ceiling fan and ac on it blew out black stuff all over our beds- that kinda grossed me out.

We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the campgrounds. We had a good mixture of cabin and campers, about 30 of us in total. Only issue i had, was the bed in my cabin, it was alittle hard for my liking. Other than that, it was an amazing trip and can't wait to do it again next year!

Many activities were available. Local sites and attractions were close and we enjoyed visiting them. The campground was clean and the secenery and environment seemed very well to us. We enjoyed relaxing the the campground and wished we would have stay several more days. We hope to return someday and spend more time relaxing and visiting local site the we missed this time around.

We had a pull through site that was right across from the shower house and the pathway to the shower house was right next to our site, so there was absolutely no privacy. I texted for firewood to be delivered, then tried calling an hour later, but could never get through (I finally flagged someone down). My text wasn’t answered until the next morning. Overly crowded. Won’t go back in Octob

Our site was perfect! It had a fire ring and the site was quite large! Halloween festivities are above what I expected! Staff was really nice too! This is going to be our yearly tradition!

We love Cherokee KOA, Everything was great about our stay. EXCEPT for some of the cleanliness of our cabin. Pots and pans, eating utensils, and a few other kitchen items were nasty. I was offered half off of my first nights stay. I feel like a full nights stay should’ve been offered instead. Great place, but need to adjust how they check cleanliness of items inside cabin.

We brought 2 of our grands for the Halloween celebration, the campground was decked out and they had activities the entire time we were there. They are already asking about next year. The park was clean and the staff was great. We loved the text notifications about activities. We love this park. Highly recommend.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. However, the bathrooms were a bit of a problem. They were quite dirty almost all of the time. Fixtures and doors in many were broken, missing or had inoperable locks. Few hooks to hang towels. Shower and bathroom use was pretty much a nasty experience.

Very nice campground. The patio pet paw pen was the best set up we’ve seen. So much space! Only 5 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. If your fire pit has more than 3 rows of stone, don’t bother with a fire. We had a cord of wood and could only see the flames when we were standing.

Everything was great except upon arrival the guy escorted us to site and sat in gulf cart was no help what so ever . Pull thru site with tree close on one side and low branches.finnally i just got my wife to help. Have never experienced that at any other KOA they have always been more than helpful getting into site

Great stay at Cherokee. Enjoyed all the Halloween decorations and the indoor hot tub. I’m not sure what was up with all the gnats. Maybe related to the ponds being drained??? Maybe just that time of year. My only recommendation for improvement is to look for a solution, if feasible. Our site also had dog crap and dog food left on it. That could’ve been removed by whoever cleaned out fire p

We enjoyed our stay. It was convenient to all we wanted to see. Campgrounds in general were very clean and well managed. Friendly staff. The only drawback is that the bathhouse that we used was in lack of proper regular cleaning. After three days we asked the staff to clean.

Came up with a friend to fish. Our cabin was clean and the showers were hot. We plan to come back for our next fishing trip in North Carolina.

We love the Cherokee KOA. The only issue we had when we arrived one of the beds was covered in stink bugs. We had gnats and flies in cabin which we have never had in the past. Overall a great campground.

Lots of stink bugs every where in the cabin. Do not like the tv channel setup. Cabin check in time is to late(4) and only 1 hour before the office closes at 5. Thurs nights are to priced high that is the reason we didn't stay longer.

Festive Halloween atmosphere, clean restrooms, attentive staff with reservations, firewood delivery to your campsite. The picnic tables need repair and repainting, otherwise a very nice facility to camp at.

Would have rated a 5, but only a 4 rating due do low hanging tree limbs and site 184 having a broken concrete slab. Stayed in sites 183 and 184. When leaving had to drive down street with low hanging limbs that dragged across top of motorhome. Site 184 is in need of concrete repairs.

This was the PERFECT Smoky Mtn getaway! Being on the south side of the park meant needing to drive back thru for most things, but it was so worth it to be in a quiet town and a fun campground. The amenities were awesome and our cabin was great. The only (very minor) bummer was the hours for the office. 9-5 meant we never made it up there since we got out early and got in after that every day we were there.

This is my favorite camping spot when we go to Cherokee and the Smokey mountain area! It's a little further north from the main town part of Cherokee but it's nice and peaceful! Theres a river around the campground and it's nice to go and explore! The rv spots are nice and spacious with most having a small lawn area with room for chairs and such! There's also a few extra things like a small playground, bounce pillow, and a pool! Unfortunately last time when I went the pool was down for maintenance but it was definitely cold enough to not want to swim anyway! The koa is in nice distance of the Smokey mountains and a few other waterfalls!

Been coming to this location since I was a kid. Changed a lot but for the better and love it. Definitely will be coming back and bring friends to enjoy the experience. **make sure the cabin cleaners make sure everything is clean. Animal hair all in the pulpit couch sheets, windows dirty** cabin 228**
