We are repeat campers. We loved the stay in the back portion much more than our first in the front. The paved sites were amazing. The only thing we don't like about the campgrounds is some of the bathhouses are in poor shape. The ones near 146 site... the shower stalls don't even close all the way...the walls are literally coming off the tile..falling over. And auto off lights are annoying.

We loved our site (253). Great access to fishing. Staff was helpful, especially when our door broke at 7pm. Some staff seemed new but if they didn't know the answer they would find out. Showers in the back of the campground were only moderately clean, behind the shower doors there was dirt, an old bandaid and some other trash. The indoor pool was freezing but hot tub was good. Would come again!

The location was fabulous. Our pad was right by the gorgeous river. However, the showers were terrible. They were dirty, moldy and the water was not hot or even warm.

Very disappointed with our unit (513). The fire place didn't work for the whole trip (we were provided with a space heater at least), some of the windows didn't have any blinds and none had curtains, and the shower was not cleaned before (had hair all in it, smeared shower gel and a used wash cloth on top of the shower rod). When asked to have more blanket and pillows this was denied.Hot tub awful

Unfortunately our cabin was below our expectations. I found a few bed bugs in our bedroom. I wasn't able to catch, smash or take a picture of them before they ran away. The bathroom was not clean , especially the toilet. The toilet smelled sour with urine odors. The toilet was absolutely disgusting. The bathroom had mold on ceiling. There is more bit not enough characters left.

Stayed during a Artic Blast. Very helpful and friendly staff. Clean and warm bathhouse, much appreciated since I chose a site without sewer hookups to save money. Campground wasn’t busy, due to the Artic Blast I suppose. Extremely quiet. Didn’t use the indoor pool but the water temp was warm. Close to all the Smokeys have to offer. Would definitely recommend and I will be back again.

The park is very nice and staff was was friendly and professional. We had a good stay the only thing we didn’t care for was there were many camp sites with dogs and they barked most of the time, during the week was quite and peaceful but the weekend was not as quite. But we would come stay again , overall the park is nice place to camp.

Loved the location. Everyone was friendly. Kids had fun. However, the bathrooms weren’t very clean. The showers didn’t look like they were cleaned. There was mold in the corners. The same gunk, hair ties and hair, was pushed to the side the entire time we were there. Also the same nasty stuff on the toilet was there the entire time. Things that could have been cleaned easily if actually cleane

This campground is top notch! All the employees are super nice there. The bathrooms were very clean and the store they have is one of the nicest campground stores I’ve ever been to.

Generally, speaking, the park was pretty nice. The staff was great – both in the office and out of the office employees – but, the grounds themselves could use a little love. Ditto on the shower houses.

We love this campground. The only negative this trip was that the propane service was unavailable. And there was a yellow lab running free in the park. But we love it here and will be back.

The stay was very nice and peaceful being on the Raven Fork. I would like to see some easy access to Raven Fork. Would it be possible to put a gate on the adjoining decks? We did have a great stay and the front desk staff was very helpful. Zia handled my reservation.

Love the location, river, near Bryson City and GSMR. Were here earlier this year and we're disappointed that the indoor hot tub STILL doesn't have bubbles. We REALLY wish you would keep the outdoor hot tubs stay open later in the season!! Indoor pool deck area needs cleaning, surrounding glass cleaned. It needs a shower/toilet area on site, please fix the fan belt that's loose and noisy!

We love visiting every year! The curtains looked 50 years old but the cabin was clean and did not have a pet smell! There was also a large gap under the door that would make me very nervous in the summer time with snakes. You guys are so amazing at keeping the kids busy and happy! Thank you!

We stayed during the Halloween weekend 2025. It was a great atmosphere. Lots of things for the grand kids to do. Not to mention trick or treating and having the park decorated and kampers decorated their kamp sites . All in all it was a wonderful weekend.

This was our second time staying at the Cherokee KOA. The campground is always very clean, friendly staff, lots of amenities and they do it up good for Halloween! Lots of fun!

We loved all the fun activities for the kids. Staff was very nice! The only issue was the cabin we had looked nothing like the picture. Also didn’t have heat, there’s usually heat in the cabins. Other than that we had a great experience.

This was the PERFECT Smoky Mtn getaway! Being on the south side of the park meant needing to drive back thru for most things, but it was so worth it to be in a quiet town and a fun campground. The amenities were awesome and our cabin was great. The only (very minor) bummer was the hours for the office. 9-5 meant we never made it up there since we got out early and got in after that every day we were there.

This is my favorite camping spot when we go to Cherokee and the Smokey mountain area! It's a little further north from the main town part of Cherokee but it's nice and peaceful! Theres a river around the campground and it's nice to go and explore! The rv spots are nice and spacious with most having a small lawn area with room for chairs and such! There's also a few extra things like a small playground, bounce pillow, and a pool! Unfortunately last time when I went the pool was down for maintenance but it was definitely cold enough to not want to swim anyway! The koa is in nice distance of the Smokey mountains and a few other waterfalls!

Been coming to this location since I was a kid. Changed a lot but for the better and love it. Definitely will be coming back and bring friends to enjoy the experience. **make sure the cabin cleaners make sure everything is clean. Animal hair all in the pulpit couch sheets, windows dirty** cabin 228**
