Great KOA amongst many other KOAs that we have visited. Excellent campground layout and perfect paved individual sites for most any rig. Very new and well maintained facilities and very friendly staff. We will be back.

I always have an incredible stay when I visit with very clean bath houses always being a key factor in my choice to stay there and the very welcoming and friendly staff. A water main broke during the visit and staff were as transparent as they were quick to get the issue fixed with us only out of water a couple of hours. So shout out to the incredible employees they have working there!

Our stay was amazing. This was the first time that we stayed at this location. It was recommended to us by a friend. We did have a few issues, but honestly, it was caused by the low temperatures in the area. Apparently the campground had a water line break. The staff was so friendly and helpful and actually credited back one of the nights that we had paid for for all of the inconveniences.

I love the new door lock mechanism, so you don't need a key. Was very helpful with the three people we had in there. Easy check in and check out. Caught all my fish in back of the cabin and won the trout company touranment. Will be back next year!

Bed Bugs, Stayed in what was suppose to be a deluxe cabin. After the second night of stay our grandson got up the next morning with bites from bed bugs all over his body. Couple of weeks later heard from a mediator from some insurance company up north, he was rude to me and my daughter over the phone. Wonderful stay in the cabin this weekend. The cabin was exceptionally clean and the perfect space for me, my husband, and our 2 dogs. Amazing location close to downtown.

We had a great time. There were a couple of things with our cabin that needed some attention. There was a light in the kitchenette that didn’t work and also the lamp in the bedroom didn’t work. Other than that we had a great stay.

I just bought my first RV and this was my first camping trip ever with it. I could not have picked a better place. I really enjoyed the campground and will be coming back most likely in February.

Really enjoyed our cabin stay. I would like to add a few comments though. One of the two burners in our cabin was broken, there was no knob. Also, no salt or pepper was in the cabin or even available for purchase, and not even a small sponge to wash the dishes. I think these are small improvements that add to the stay.

cabins were comfortable but could use some better maintenance . we had issues with our heat & were supplied with space heaters quickly which really helpped but I expected the cabins to be in better shape for the price . there were a lot of shabby repairs . the people were really nice & enjoyed the stay & Thanksgiving pot luck.

Staff was very rude and not willing to accommodate check in time; we called multicable times last week and never got an actual person on the phone that could answer our questions before our arrival. The Cabin was dirty, had open soda cans on the floor. I've been staying with this KOA for 20 years and I would not recommend it to anyone. Sounds like it's under new management but its gone down hill

This is my 6th time camping at KOA Cherokee & it was amazing. Campground employees were so friendly & helpful. I highly recommend this place to everyone that wants a nature vacation. Thank you for providing a wonderful experience.

Our family loves this campground we visited every year for the last four years. They were so accommodating at the last moment when we couldn’t get our camper to pull and make sure we were able to secure a two bedroom cabin for our Thanksgiving week stay! We are so thankful for how flexible and helpful everybody was to make sure that our families Thanksgiving trip happened!

Overall it was a great experience. There are some smaller details that could be addressed. The refrigerator door in our cabin (238) was backwards, in that it opened towards the cabin interior rather than towards the wall. The mattresses could be more comfortable, in that maybe having memory foam (just a wish). My wife also noticed hairs in the tub. We’re definitely going to be back.

Amazing campground and staff very friendly. Only complaint is pool was over chlorinated which caused my daughter sinus to become very irritated and a neighboring camper had a teenager who thought everyone wanted to hear their music. Otherwise, great service and location. Saw many elk this trip!

We have been to several KOA's and they all are a little different so we did not know what to expect here. It was lovely, the staff were incredible and went out of their way to make it a pleasant stay. The amenities were great and the scenery couldn't have been any better. We want to make it an annual tradition now to return each year. Thank you KOA and staff for a great time.

I stayed in a deluxe cabin at the way back of the campground. I enjoyed our cabin and enjoyed this campground. It was so close to everything. I could get to the entrance of the great Smoky Mountains quickly or go into Cherokee. I would definitely stay here again.

We had the best time. The campground was clean and very nice! The staff were very friendly except for one older grey haired woman in the office, she was extremly rude. I cant remember her name but she was the only older lady i seen in there. This is one of our favorite campgrounds and we will be returning every year.

I was glad that the park was almost empty. If full, we would have been packed in like sardines. I didn't use the indoor pool, but it looks nice.The location is beautiful. The staff was friendly.

Your bath house was nasty, feces and mold. Plus our camp site 270 was not what we expected. Instead of bare dirt, how about put some rock down. We left the day before check out.

The campground was clean, beautiful, and the cabin was very clean and well stocked. I love the camp store. It feels like a warm when it's cold where I can get coffee and other supplies.Thank you for a fun and beautiful time! I would suggest doing 2 things to make it even more perfect. Freshly launder the shower curtain and add some more hooks in the cabin to hang things on like jackets.

Staff were all very accommodating and friendly, the camp store had lots of useful and fun items, the bathrooms were clean, and my cabin was cozy. Another great KOA stay in the books! I am sure I will be staying here again.

I've been staying here since it opened, and I'm 73 years old now. It's always been a favorite, but it's especially nide since they made all the improvements last year. They could use another dog park in the rear of the park but the one up front is always remarkably clean. Greatly supplied store and the nicest staff.

Roaches and roach feces were found in the freezer of the mini fridge. The cabin carried a heavy stinch of urine and mildew. I realize that it is camping, but don't offer an amenity that isn't an upgrade from the standard.

Everyone there is so friendly and helpful. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the cabin needs some repairs and the hot tub wasn't functioning. We stayed in a newer cabin last time, but this one was about 20 years old and needs some updates. The cabin was very clean and staff very helpful. Next time I am going to get a newer cabin though. We will be back and hopefully the hot tub is working.

The indoor pool area needs to be redone and the arcade area is not an arcade. It has one racing game and the other games are claw games to win stuffed animals. Overall, the campground is nice to campsites are really nice and staff were very friendly.

This was the PERFECT Smoky Mtn getaway! Being on the south side of the park meant needing to drive back thru for most things, but it was so worth it to be in a quiet town and a fun campground. The amenities were awesome and our cabin was great. The only (very minor) bummer was the hours for the office. 9-5 meant we never made it up there since we got out early and got in after that every day we were there.

This is my favorite camping spot when we go to Cherokee and the Smokey mountain area! It's a little further north from the main town part of Cherokee but it's nice and peaceful! Theres a river around the campground and it's nice to go and explore! The rv spots are nice and spacious with most having a small lawn area with room for chairs and such! There's also a few extra things like a small playground, bounce pillow, and a pool! Unfortunately last time when I went the pool was down for maintenance but it was definitely cold enough to not want to swim anyway! The koa is in nice distance of the Smokey mountains and a few other waterfalls!

Been coming to this location since I was a kid. Changed a lot but for the better and love it. Definitely will be coming back and bring friends to enjoy the experience. **make sure the cabin cleaners make sure everything is clean.
